Every single person we talked to from Lindsay Mackey, their amazing manger and our first contact to the hotel-block assistant was a joy to work with, communicative and helpful. The workbook, spreadsheets, and connections with other coordinators and vendors made the whole wedding planning process more enjoyable and streamlined. We chose the Day of Coordination and are very grateful to have had Hanh as our wedding coordinator! Hanh is worth her weight in gold! With Day of Coordination we received not only ten hours of custom coordination from the wonderfully efficient and empathic Hanh, we also had the help of her assistant. This was perfect because someone was by my and my husband’s throughout the day. I loved that with SEG we had a whole team of magnifically organized, thorough and compassionate individuals to support us in executing our dream wedding. Once we had submitted our information Lindsay contacted us to go over all of the things included in wedding planning. She created a rough draft of our day of timeline and gave us access to our Wedding Workbook. They have templates for everything you will need for organizing your wedding and making sure you do not miss out on important, but often overlooked details. Two months before our wedding date we were connected with Hanh. From our first meeting throughout the whole time before the wedding and for the duration of our wedding itself Hanh was both our wedding angel and ninja rolled all into one. I had done a lot of the initial setting up vendors, but as soon as she could she took over as my contact person. This meant the vendors had to email/reach out to Hanh and left me feeling like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. From this point on I started to enjoy wedding planning.I love that she reached out to not only myself, but included my now husband and daughter in on a meeting. If there were any hiccups leading up to the wedding I did not know until they were already handled. On our wedding day, everything went smoothly for my husband and I and our family.Again if there were any mishaps my husband and I were oblivious of them and we had the best wedding ever! We found out that my cousin was also working with her for his wedding and he had the most amazing things to say so we knew we were in good hands! Blair is easy to talk to and work with, professional, kind, understanding, and extremely organized! She helped us stick to our budget, coordinate with other vendors, and gave us so many recommendations and options for high quality vendors. Blair is extremely responsive! We loved how quickly she was responding to any questions we had and I also really appreciated the nudges on deadlines! We have extremely busy schedules and we travel often, so the frequent reminders and check-ins were crucial. We were grateful that there were scheduled talks intermittently throughout the planning process. It really helped us manage the timeline and logistics. It's hard to find the words to sufficiently capture how vital Olivia was to our wedding. While we had hired most of our vendors before deciding to hire Olivia as a day of coordinator about 3 months before our wedding, we had only the vaguest of a sketch about how our wedding day would work. Olivia immediately worked with us and developed a detailed draft of the schedule. She then proceeded to hold several planning meetings with us, and our vendors as well as an on-site visit at our venue with us about a month and a half before our wedding. We built in several custom parts of our wedding including some Hindu customs that required reworking and updating our timeline several times. Olivia handled all of this with incredible grace. During our rehearsal Olivia cleared things up for our wedding party and made sure that we were all on the same page. Despite many of our party members showing up late, she still got the important points through to everyone and made sure that there was no confusion the day of. For our wedding Olivia was on the scene working early to coordinate setup at two different venues, and was also running things over from our hotel, while maintaining contact with everyone. She made sure that we all were in place with plenty of time to spare and this enabled us to really maximize our time with the photographer and videographer. After the ceremony she made sure that folks found their way to the cocktail hour and reception. Since we had to spend most of the cocktail hour taking photos and changing we didn't really have time to enjoy our appetizers, but thankfully Olivia made sure to give us some time alone to sample them in a private room before our grand entrance. At the reception Olivia worked with our DJ to keep the event running on time, making sure the toast makers were in place and ready to go. She also managed putting out our thank you gift bags and setting aside our cards from guests. We had an amazing time dancing and eating, and were able to trust that Olivia was keeping things running as we enjoyed ourselves. I can't stress how important it was for us to hire Olivia as our coordinator. She was unflappable and made sure that we kept our focus on ourselves, and our friends and family. We managed our own rehearsal dinner and I can tell you from first-hand experience that the day of our wedding with Olivia in charge was so much less stressful and much more fun. I would highly recommend Olivia to anyone having a wedding in the Chicago area!

The title says it all... Emily is IN-CRED-I-BLE!!! We worked with Emily for well over a year on our wedding and she handled anything and everything that we needed help with. Whether it was finding vendors/venues and contacting them, handling paperwork, setting up calls, tours, etc., Emily put our mind at ease with it and took care of it. She's also incredibly personable and fun to talk to! By the time our wedding came, it was bittersweet because we had looked forward to our weekly calls with her! On the day of our wedding Emily was a superhero..... She helped set things up, make sure everything ran smoothly, helped tear down at the end of the night, and packed our car with decorations and things we had brought for us so we had nothing to worry about. We HIGHLY highly highly (I'll say again) HIGHLY recommend hiring Emily for ANY event, but definitely hire her if you're getting married!! Rebecca is nothing short of incredible! She was a necessity for our wedding planning process and coordination, and we all agreed hiring her was the most valuable choice we made during it. From the very first intro call where we had been speaking to a lot of new vendors, deciding what worked for us, which personalities we matched with, and beginning to understand all that it would take to pull off an incredible event, she made us feel at ease! She is an absolute professional - she keeps things very realistic, but positive, and knows how to work well with many different people in the industry. She knew when she needed to encourage them to follow up with us or something was due on our end, she was always very kind about it. We trusted her as she knew many of the vendors we would be working with and she also came with great recommendations when we weren’t sure on a vendor. She takes comprehensive notes of your conversations so that no idea or thought is forgotten and it makes you feel so valued as a client that she cares so much about your big day. With the coordination package, we were so much less stressed than other couples we’ve witnessed, since Rebecca handled the majority of communication amongst vendors in the month leading up to the wedding (and even was on top of it prior to taking a much deserved vacation for herself!). I found Alexa on the Knot and booked her for Monarch’s full wedding planning package as my husband & I were planning a wedding outside of Chicago in an unconventional venue, 9 months away, and lived in another state. It was a big challenge but from the initial consultation, we loved Alexa’s energy, organization, commitment and just knew we could trust her with our once in a lifetime event. The planning process was extremely organized, thorough and well-paced. She matched my attention to detail, tackled unplanned challenges with ferocity (which included a limited selection of vendors given the location of our venue) and was as dedicated to bringing my very specific vision to life as I was. She brought great vendor recommendations and connections and did countless hours of research on new vendors. Details were well-documented and thoroughly discussed to ensure all parties were aligned. Even though our venue was farther outside Chicago (Indiana), she ran several venue walkthroughs in-person, attended vendor visits with me, and always accommodated my husband and I’s busy schedule. As Alexa started to step away for her maternity leave (which started right before our wedding date), she did an amazing job ensuring her team was fully prepared to handle last minute preparations and day-of responsibilities. The day-of team of 3 were awesome with completely handling all details A-Z so I didn’t have to worry about anything, even despite some last minute changes due to weather! Due to the complexity of our venue, its location, short timeline, and being from out-of-state, we are SO GLAD we booked Monarch for their full planning package and had the privilege of working with Alexa! For everyone who thinks they don’t need a wedding planner. You do. You do and you specifically need Stephanie. If everyone had a Stephanie, there would be no wedding disasters, no war, and no famine. Stephanie is the best. She helped us look through contracts with vendors, talked us through conversations with catering (which is how we met her), and ran our wedding day seamlessly. Stephanie really knows this business. She helped us manage our budget, she set expectations and timelines, and was super responsive with emails and questions. She also was respectful and inclusive to us with all our identities, as a gay couple and a Jewish/Italian couple. The wedding industry often assumes a lot of things but Stephanie is so kind and goes out of her way to make sure she never does. Beyond that, I think it’s important to highlight what a wedding planner does the day of. She makes sure all the tables are set up so you don’t have to. She makes sure your vendors arrive on time. She made sure our photos and our flowers were set up. I cannot emphasize enough how much you will not want to be doing your own table arrangements when you’re trying to pull off the biggest party you’ve ever thrown. She also came a few days early and picked up ALL of the items for the wedding in her mini-van. Then she packed them up at the end of the night and delivered them a few days after the wedding?? That ALONE is the best. I assumed my wife, our families, and I would be packing things up that night but she gave us a magical day where we didn’t have to worry about anything. She’s also incredibly smart and thorough and NEVER complains. We had books as our centerpieces and realized later that the idea of books was going to be HEAVY. She never told us we were nuts but she actually said she liked it because we did things that were true to us. She has more energy than anyone I’ve ever met and her and her day-of assistant, Caitlin, were the best. Seriously, Stephanie is, as my wife says, a magical human being. Don’t plan a wedding without her.

Rojin was our “Wedding Day Coordinator” on April 2022. We absolutely can’t imagine our wedding day without her! She managed a major issue which had the potential to turn into a crisis. For some reason, our sound system was acting up, and our DJ couldn’t figure out the problem. She reacted to the incident very calmly and managed to find the standby technician quickly while we were just looking at each other trying to understand what had happened. And our guests responded to this very positively and it was like they were really enjoying themselves by singing and dancing while the issue was getting fixed. Without her, this two-minute incident could’ve ruin our night, but instead, now we have a beautiful memory of an issue that was outside of our control. Throughout that night, she was always there for us, by her attention to details. She was noticing small imperfections in Bride’s wedding dress while the Bride was dancing. She was fixing all those imperfections that she noticed on the fly. We didn’t even notice everything that she did, not till six months later when we were watching our wedding movie. I reached out to so many planners/coordinators for my wedding and so many were either slow to respond or did not respond at all. Chelsea was prompt and excited to help, despite my wedding being quite the undertaking. I did my own (faux) flowers, which meant on top of regular day-of duties, she was putting up full floral arrangements, lighting hundreds of candles, and putting together tons of other small details and finishing touches. I can't emphasize this enough - our day would not have come together in the way that it did without her. She was on top of everything and truly made my vision come to life. She was helpful in dealing with other vendors as well, and did everything with a smile on her face. When I came to her days before my wedding with a crazy new surprise, she was down to help. We could NOT have done our wedding without Janella at Vinella Events. We were looking for a day-of coordinator because we thought it would help us enjoy our day and focus on celebrating with each other and our guests. We had that and more in working with Janella, and I am so thankful she made our wedding day as successful as it was. Janella came recommended to us by our venue, and we first met with her about 4 months before our wedding and went with her 6-week coordination package. We originally just wanted someone to help only for the day of the wedding, but this absolutely was a better deal because she came with us to our venue meetings, helped coordinate our timeline, asked insightful questions for things we never would have even thought of, went through our ceremony with me, and helped me feel SO much more prepared before the wedding through meetings and just being a resource. She helped us run an efficient rehearsal prior to the wedding and coordinated with me so that we would have all of the set-up and items how I wanted them for our wedding day. On the day of the wedding, she went above and beyond in her role. She set up all of our decor, helped facilitate transportation of items, executed the timeline and adapted when things went off time (and importantly, did all of this seamlessly so that myself and the guests didn’t notice), created back-up plans when there were issues with other vendors, coordinated set-up with other vendors, ran to get my lipstick from another room for photos, and too many other things behind the scenes that I didn’t even have to know about because I was able to trust her to tackle them. I had multiple compliments from family members and friends about how organized she was and how kind she was, and she made a 270-person wedding flow seamlessly. She ultimately gave us the ability to just ENJOY the day without having to answer questions or worry about things going on that day.
