Hi there, I’m Olivia, the face behind Afterglow Weddings and Events! With over five years of experience in the wedding industry, including catering and venue sales, I've been part of more than 100 love stories. My journey in the Chicago wedding industry has included time as a venue coordinator, catering sales manager and event coordinator. My favorite part about working in the industry is working with couples to help their wedding dreams come to life. At Afterglow Weddings and Events, I'm dedicated to bringing your dreams to life and ensuring every detail reflects your unique love story.
Having been in the Chicago wedding industry for over 5 years I have a wide range of experience working in catering, venues and private planning. I wanted to use my expertise to help all couples bring their dream wedding to life!

Daughter’s Wedding
Olivia was amazing from start to finish! She took care of dealing with the band, flowers, venue, everything! She has a great attention to detail and handled issues we never would have thought of- we had a great time at our daughter's wedding, free of having to worry about anything!
Afterglow Weddings and Events
Olivia was amazing from start to finish for our recent wedding in Chicago. We had 200 people and she made sure that every detail was taken care of throughout the process and that our wedding day was stress-free. She worked with us to make our day exactly as we wanted it to be and worked seamlessly with all of the vendors we had booked. Thanks to her, we had the best day and would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a wedding planner in Chicago!
Olivia is Incredible!!!
When you start booking vendors for your wedding, make sure the first one you book is Olivia. She was, without a doubt, the best wedding coordinator my husband and I could have chosen!!! We hired Olivia as our month-of coordinator for our wedding on 9/13/25, and from the very beginning, Olivia was kind, clear, and incredibly organized. She asked questions we never would have thought to ask, covered all her bases, made herself available to our other vendors, and was poised and professional at every stage. She was also incredibly responsive- we never had to wait more than a day to hear back from her about important questions. Leading up to the day-of she helped us navigate last-minute obstacles with ease, giving us true peace of mind that everything was being taken care of. She gave helpful advice without a personal agenda and made us feel more confident in our own choices. Olivia also advocated for us when other vendors were more disorganized or difficult to work with, and she was a dependable point person for our entire vendor team. It is clear she is incredibly knowledgeable about so many aspects of this industry and has a very diplomatic way about her. On the day of the wedding, Olivia and her assistant Abby were incredibly supportive, regularly checked in on us, and brought such a calming presence. The entire event was magical and went seamlessly, and I’m confident that was largely because of Olivia. I honestly don’t know how she does it! We feel so grateful to her and so lucky we chose to book with her. Infinite stars!
Excellent and Well Priced!
Afterglow Weddings and Events was an excellent choice for our wedding planning needs. We did the 8-week coordination, which was exactly the level of help we needed and a very reasonable price for the help. Olivia's communication style was efficient and regular, with weekly check-ins to ensure we stayed on track. Olivia managed the full vendor timeline, which relieved a lot of stress for us as we got closer to the date and various vendors had lots of little questions. The online platform made it easy to stay organized and on top of all the details, especially the seating chart. We felt truly supported throughout the entire process thanks to Olivia and Abbey. Highly recommend their services!
