There was some confusion around the process of actually getting assigned a day-of coordinator due to lack of communication, which added some stress around the 3-week mark. Once we had that sorted out and we were actually paired with our coordinator, everything went super smoothly and we were extremely happy with the service we received. We were on the fence about hiring a day-of coordinator and ultimately it was the best decision we could've made. Kumbah was incredible and our wedding would've been a wreck without her!

Their premade spreadsheets included everything: seating charts, tipping guides, vendor contact lists, timelines, packing lists—you name it. During our planning meetings, they reviewed the timeline well in advance and brought a calm confidence that really helped put me at ease. We also opted for the design package, which was such a game changer. While I could have tried to handle decor myself, having someone bring the vision to life—and then take it all down afterward—saved me an incredible amount of time and energy. They say you should feel like the guest of honor at your own wedding, and that’s exactly how my husband and I felt. Even more importantly, our loved ones were also able to relax and enjoy the day without worrying about logistics. I’ll always be grateful for Joyfully Co and can’t recommend them enough to other brides. They are truly a gift, and I’m cheering them on always!

Where do I even start?! We had Hanna Marie Events for our Day of Coordinator, Content Creation, and we also did the Wedding Management Package. If I could go back, I would do the same thing over again! From the very beginning, Hanna felt like a friend. She’s incredibly sweet, down to earth, and is truly there to support you in creating the best day of your life. On top of that, she’s very knowledgeable, organized, and can probably answer any question you’d ever have. Throughout the planning process, I always felt supported. Hanna responds quickly to emails and was always in my corner helping me make the right decisions when I had no clue what I was doing. There’s no way our wedding would have turned out so seamless and beautiful if it wasn’t for HME. On our wedding day, everything went smoothly and beautifully. They were so on top of everything, they worked with the other vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page, it couldn’t have gone better. Having them there took off more stress than I can explain, and instead of worrying about random things, we got to enjoy our day and take in each moment. Lastly, content creation! We opted out of doing a videographer and instead chose content creation with HME. Best decision ever!!! She captured all the moments, big and small. She captured details from the venue, our first look, ceremony, dancing, etc etc. Anything you’d want videos of, Hanna’s got it. It’s been so fun to reminisce on our day, and looking back at all the videos is the best part. Hanna captured once in a lifetime moments that came and went in an instant, but now we have forever. Brittney was great from beginning to end. She was very responsive throughout the planning process. Her spreadsheets were super helpful to keep all of the information in one space and to keep us on track. She kept an eye on the budget and coordinated all of the vendors. She handled mailing the save-the-dates and invitations, and the RSVPs, as well as lodging logistics and welcome bags. On the day before and day of the wedding she was there trouble-shooting and making sure all went smoothly. Couldn't recommend her enough!

We first learned about Oso Events in the summer of 2022 while remotely planning our California wedding from the East Coast. From the very first introductory call, they blew us away with their professionalism, punctuality, warmth, organization, and excellence. Without them, our wedding would not have been nearly as amazing as it was! They found us fantastic vendors in the Bay Area like the food, HMUA, DJ, and server staffing company, organized our wedding day schedule, held regular video calls with us, got quotes from vendors, kept track of our budget and payment schedule with weekly updates, arranged set-up of the ceremony and reception venue, made sure our vendors got day-of tips, and more! The only thing that could be improved is that there was a specific deadline for event liability insurance that I and the planning team all missed initially. No harm was done though! The mistake was caught in time before it affected the event, and all went well! Michelle and Raymundo excellently identified what our energy levels as a newlywed couple would be like in the week leading up to the big event, and the day of the actual wedding. Raymundo directed our impromptu ceremony rehearsal, helping our officiant and party mark their places and signaling where/when we should stand and walk. Michelle checked in with the bride and the groom consistently throughout the night of the reception, asking if we needed water, food, or other drinks since we were often distracted by the festivities. They maintained effective communication leading up to and on the day of the wedding. Their decorations at the ceremony and reception were absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. At the end of the night, they managed takedown, and made sure all of the personal decorative items and remembrance photos we brought were conveniently all in the same box for us to take home. Through the yearlong process of planning, they dealt with last-minute logistical changes with incredible poise, and truly grounded us, allowing us to enjoy the day with free minds. The team even accommodated two of our guests who tested positive for COVID last-minute by setting up a separate table for them in the outdoor venue. We couldn't recommend them more highly. Not to mention, their BobaHolics boba bar was a huge hit and the photo booth was a lot of fun. We got a lot of mileage out of the sustainable decor inventory, which prevented us from having tons of wedding stuff on hand that we'd accumulate and need to resell after. The entire range of services offered by Oso is incredibly helpful and will make any event an absolute hit. We have loved working with the team and we’re so grateful they decided to take us on as clients at the start of their wedding planning journey.

Blair and her team, Elly and Neva, were lifesavers for our wedding! We met her team during an open house for The Brix, the venue where we had our reception. We found out that my cousin was also working with her for his wedding and he had the most amazing things to say so we knew we were in good hands! Blair is easy to talk to and work with, professional, kind, understanding, and extremely organized! She helped us stick to our budget, coordinate with other vendors, and gave us so many recommendations and options for high quality vendors. Blair is extremely responsive! We loved how quickly she was responding to any questions we had and I also really appreciated the nudges on deadlines! We have extremely busy schedules and we travel often, so the frequent reminders and check-ins were crucial. We were grateful that there were scheduled talks intermittently throughout the planning process. It really helped us manage the timeline and logistics. I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. How much does a wedding planner cost?

On average, a full-service wedding planner can cost between $3,000 and $10,000. It depends on where you live and where you’re getting married. Planners in areas with high costs of living, like New York City and San Francisco, may charge upwards of $20,000. If you’re having a destination wedding, consider using a planner local to the area—you’ll avoid paying extra for travel, accommodations, and meals. Day-of coordinators cost less. They may have a flat fee between $1,000 and $5,000, or charge hourly. Always ask about pricing up front so nothing comes as a surprise later.

What do wedding planners do?

  Think of wedding planners as jack-of-all-trades experts when it comes to weddings. Many offer different levels of service to meet your needs. If you just want
  day-of coordination, for example, your planner will be there to make sure your ceremony and reception go off without a hitch. This may mean setting up vendors or directing your wedding party and guests to make sure everyone is where they need to be at the right time. Should we get a wedding planner?

Planners are great resources and can make planning your wedding much less stressful. If you’ve got the budget, a wedding planner is well worth the investment. Planners offer different service levels at varying price points. Choose the amount of help and cost that makes the most sense for you. At the bare minimum, you need someone (hired or delegated) to help manage the event day-of so you will be able to enjoy yourselves without worrying about too many logistics. If you decide to enlist a friend or family member to take on this role, keep in mind that this person will need to prioritize your needs over their own, and will no longer be attending or enjoying the wedding simply as a guest.
