“Lindsay with Mostest was AMAZING! She helped us tremendously when the event planner for the Charleston Princess quit just a few weeks before my daughter’s wedding. There were many obstacles to navigate including not being able to board the vessel to set up and decorate until 2 hours before guests would begin boarding. Lindsay single handedly transported a car load of personalized details, decorations, party favors, bar items, extra linens, numerous picture frames and a huge Charleston Harbor nautical chart that served as the guest book. She had to take several trips from her car down a very long pier to get to the boat and set it all up in such a short time span. She managed it all beautifully! The timeline she created was amazing and we were actually a bit ahead of schedule prior to the ceremony. This gave us all some time to relax while sweet Lindsay was preparing for all of our guests to arrive. After the reception, Lindsay stayed on board and began packing up all of our special items carefully. We returned to the vessel after sending the bride and groom off, to find that she had managed to pack most of our items without our help. I can’t say enough about all that she did for us, especially with all of the hiccups and stresses we faced the last few weeks. She handled everything with such grace and poise! This MOB was quite stressed with the adversity we were facing that was out of our control and Lindsay smoothed everything out!! I can’t say enough about her!! “Mari is IT. My husband and I met with a handful of coordinators who all seemed qualified and capable, but none that seemed to vibe with our energy UNTIL we met Mari! Right away she was calming and tuned in and warm. She felt like someone we would hang out with but then make that person an organizational wizard.As first time wedders, who had never imagined a specific wedding day aesthetic or theme, we would frequently worry this whole thing might not come together. But IT DID under Mari's expert guidance! And not only was it a big success (imo) she also never made us feel dumb or wrong or like bad engaged people for breaking tradition or for asking if we need Welcome signs. Mari was very good about holding us to our deadlines but not hounding us. We came to her with a big ask: pull off a multi-day, inter-religious, multi-cultural wedding weekend in NYC. Claire more than delivered on both our Bangladeshi Gaye Holud and American wedding events. Her full planning service was the best wedding decision we made, hands down. Claire is well-connected in the industry because everyone she works with loves her. This helped us select top-quality vendors. Her 10 years of experience pulled through when she uncovered problematic vendor contract clauses that we initially overlooked. She led every site visit and asked important questions we wouldn’t have thought of. She kept us on track over the course of 14 months, so we didn’t rush or make hasty decisions as our wedding date approached. Planning with Claire was a great experience. She always returned our emails quickly and thoughtfully (and trust me, we emailed her A LOT). The fact that she is a part-time planner gave us no cause for concern. “My fiancé and I were planning what was supposed to be an intimate engagement dinner—turned party—since we knew we’d be eloping but still wanted to celebrate with friends and family. A good friend referred us to April, we decided to explore our options as her website had a free 15-minute consultation, during which she answered some planning questions and provided helpful suggestions. We immediately noticed that she suggested to us an affordable planning service rather than trying to upsell any of her larger packages. Despite the restaurant’s reassurances that their team had everything covered, we ultimately decided to book April as an event host so that the restaurant manager, staff, and our guests could defer to someone else allowing us to fully enjoy the night. That turned out to be the best decision we could have made. While the restaurant staff was excellent, there were plenty of last-minute details like placing DIY décor, setting up our dessert table, banners and managing our engagement party games that my fiancé would have otherwise had to handle. Whenever a guest or staff member had a question, she was already two steps ahead, ensuring everything ran smoothly. At the end of the night, we both agreed that we would have been constantly running around if April hadn't been there.”

“Talk about making the impossible, possible! I had worked with MVW Events to plan a surprise engagement picnic for my then girlfriend, now wife. Around the time, I was wrapping up my graduate program and set to graduate the day after I planned on proposing. It RAINED!! so the park area I had in mind did not allow folks on the grass after fresh rain so we had to change plans on the fly. She even secretly met me while I was out with my partner at a school event to grab my apartment keys and head over to set everything up while I was out. We wanted something small and meaningful—an intimate celebration with about 60 - 70 close family and friends —and figured we could handle most of the planning ourselves. We chose a restaurant, sent out invitations, and thought we had things under control. But our thinking shifted once we started considering the logistics of the actual day—including seemingly simple things like how to arrange chairs for the ceremony. Friends and family offered to help, but we wanted them to enjoy the event as guests, not worry about the details. After speaking with Ingrid and Gloria and reviewing their very reasonable proposal, we felt good about bringing them on. Over the next two months, they kept us organized, offered thoughtful and constructive suggestions, and were a steady source of calm and encouragement. They listened earnestly to what we wanted and helped bring it to life in a way that felt both personal and polished. We also really appreciated their help communicating and coordinating with vendors, including the restaurant, our photographer, and our musician. It took a lot of pressure off our shoulders and gave us peace of mind knowing everything was in good hands. “Not sure where to start. This past year was so insane. We got engaged and planned and had a whole wedding in under a year- not even sure what made me lose my mind and do all that (plus we bought a house!). Without Alinato this entire year would have been a wild undertaking and truthfully there would have been several more breakdowns (and maybe my mother and I would have come to blows!). Truly Alyssa was so helpful. Every time she gave a recommendation even when I disagreed- she was right! Right down to the colored flowers- I do not know how she does it but she can conceptualize the entire day through the whole process. I am someone who needs a lot of visuals and a lot of explanation especially when it comes to the biggest day of my life and because I am super type A!! She was patient and really helped walk me and my partner through it. Our day was not only pretty and amazing to see come together but it was FUN. All I wanted was a stunning day that felt effortless and chic but also I wanted my friends to party and we achieved it! Of course everyone is human and there was a bump or two but truly I have no complaints. I am still in awe at how we pulled it off in such a short time period!
