Mari is IT. My husband and I met with a handful of coordinators who all seemed qualified and capable, but none that seemed to vibe with our energy UNTIL we met Mari! Right away she was calming and tuned in and warm. She felt like someone we would hang out with but then make that person an organizational wizard.As first time wedders, who had never imagined a specific wedding day aesthetic or theme, we would frequently worry this whole thing might not come together. But IT DID under Mari's expert guidance! And not only was it a big success (imo) she also never made us feel dumb or wrong or like bad engaged people for breaking tradition or for asking if we need Welcome signs. Mari was very good about holding us to our deadlines but not hounding us. When we felt like we were months behind she assured us we were in a good place.And then the day of the wedding, Mari and Anjeanette, were like the 1992 US Men's Olympic basketball team! Just two pros moving seamlessly, never missing. If we had a question, they had the answer before we asked. I always wondered how weddings happen without the bride and groom being pulled in every direction. Elle Events is how.

Lindsay with Mostest was AMAZING! She helped us tremendously when the event planner for the Charleston Princess quit just a few weeks before my daughter’s wedding. There were many obstacles to navigate including not being able to board the vessel to set up and decorate until 2 hours before guests would begin boarding. Lindsay single handedly transported a car load of personalized details, decorations, party favors, bar items, extra linens, numerous picture frames and a huge Charleston Harbor nautical chart that served as the guest book. She had to take several trips from her car down a very long pier to get to the boat and set it all up in such a short time span. She managed it all beautifully! The timeline she created was amazing and we were actually a bit ahead of schedule prior to the ceremony. This gave us all some time to relax while sweet Lindsay was preparing for all of our guests to arrive. After the reception, Lindsay stayed on board and began packing up all of our special items carefully. We returned to the vessel after sending the bride and groom off, to find that she had managed to pack most of our items without our help. I can’t say enough about all that she did for us, especially with all of the hiccups and stresses we faced the last few weeks. She handled everything with such grace and poise! This MOB was quite stressed with the adversity we were facing that was out of our control and Lindsay smoothed everything out!! I can’t say enough about her!! We started working with Ani a few months before our wedding and we wish we had her all along! Our wedding went off without a hitch, we enjoyed ourselves tremendously and have Ani to thank. Ani aced the essentials of wedding planning: coordinating with vendors to free up our time, staying organized, having plans and backup plans, communicating well (not burdening us with details, but keeping us in the loop and involving us on key issues), and being proactive. But what made her stand out, and are truly excellent planner, was her personal touch: getting to know us, understanding what we liked and how we liked it, and truly caring about making our wedding day wonderful. Ani has great empathy and could tell when we needed something, even if we couldn't articulate it, both in the planning phase and on the day of the wedding. We felt we were in such good hands. Also bonus points for pulling a rabbit out of a hat at the last minute on our wedding day when our DJ (a close friend) wanted to extend the rental on his equipment so we could bring it to the afterparty. I didn't even know Ani was aware of this idea, but at one point during the reception she mentioned that it was all sorted, and we had an afterparty for the ages. We couldn't recommend Ani more strongly! :)

Hiring DeAnne was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. My fiancé is a surgical resident meaning much of the planning was left to me (the groom) and Lee. Lee managed all of the personalities in our wedding party, family, and venue masterfully. We continue to receive compliments days and weeks after about our wedding and the level of organization that made our day flow so well. Talk about making the impossible, possible! I had worked with MVW Events to plan a surprise engagement picnic for my then girlfriend, now wife. Around the time, I was wrapping up my graduate program and set to graduate the day after I planned on proposing. MVW helped me set the vision for the picnic and coordinated sourcing vendors for the right deals on items that would make the moment extra special. With all the details in place, I was confident in what we had planned and was actually less nervous about the whole bended knee thing because of it. Fast forward to the day of and guess what ... It RAINED!! so the park area I had in mind did not allow folks on the grass after fresh rain so we had to change plans on the fly. Morgan and her super creative brain proposed she and her team set up everything in my apartment instead. That way we could have everything we needed for the occasion within arms reach. She even secretly met me while I was out with my partner at a school event to grab my apartment keys and head over to set everything up while I was out. When we got home, when I say the place looked like MAGIC!! We were both blown away (but of course I had an idea of what to expect). And of course, it went perfectly from there. We didn't think we needed wedding coordinators because we weren't planning a big, elaborate wedding. We wanted something small and meaningful—an intimate celebration with about 60 - 70 close family and friends —and figured we could handle most of the planning ourselves. We chose a restaurant, sent out invitations, and thought we had things under control. But our thinking shifted once we started considering the logistics of the actual day—including seemingly simple things like how to arrange chairs for the ceremony. Friends and family offered to help, but we wanted them to enjoy the event as guests, not worry about the details. After speaking with Ingrid and Gloria and reviewing their very reasonable proposal, we felt good about bringing them on. Over the next two months, they kept us organized, offered thoughtful and constructive suggestions, and were a steady source of calm and encouragement. Not sure where to start. This past year was so insane. We got engaged and planned and had a whole wedding in under a year- not even sure what made me lose my mind and do all that (plus we bought a house!). Without Alinato this entire year would have been a wild undertaking and truthfully there would have been several more breakdowns (and maybe my mother and I would have come to blows!). Truly Alyssa was so helpful. Every time she gave a recommendation even when I disagreed- she was right! Right down to the colored flowers- I do not know how she does it but she can conceptualize the entire day through the whole process. I am someone who needs a lot of visuals and a lot of explanation especially when it comes to the biggest day of my life and because I am super type A!! She was patient and really helped walk me and my partner through it. Our day was not only pretty and amazing to see come together but it was FUN. All I wanted was a stunning day that felt effortless and chic but also I wanted my friends to party and we achieved it! Of course everyone is human and there was a bump or two but truly I have no complaints. I am still in awe at how we pulled it off in such a short time period! Insane but I would 1000% recommend Alinato to any couples looking for a planner!
