The Enchanted Manor

“We were looking for a unique venue for our wedding. We knew we wanted it to be outdoors and a place for both a reception and the ceremony so that our guests wouldn't have to travel between the two. The Enchanted Manor was the first place we looked at and we both felt that it was the right fit. Georgia has created a little oasis in her back yard that we felt fit our vibe - lowkey, but classy. The playhouse was a great place that the kids could escape to to watch TV while their parents enjoyed the party. We had booked originally for approximately 60 guests, however once all the pieces fell into place we were closer to 50. Unfortunately our guest count dropped below 50 just after our window to let Georgia know, but she was kind enough to offer us the price difference. We applied that balance towards renting some heaters and lighting the fire pits as the weather got colder than anticipated, as well as to handling the trash. (Pay attention to the contract, you are responsible for removing trash or there is a fee.) I appreciated her communication and patience walking me through things - planning a wedding myself was a task that was draining on me! One thing I didn’t realize before booking was that there is space for a kitchen, but it needs to be built out for your event, so make sure you consider that into any costs. Georgia was really helpful and responsive to all of our questions (we had so many) and anything that we couldn’t do she had very reasonable reasons. (For example, at one point I thought I’d like confetti, but she explained why she doesn’t allow that on her property which made total sense!) The weeks before I became worried that there wasn’t enough decor, so we bought some items that we ended up returning. Once the rentals arrived, combined with the lighting, everything was beautiful as it was. We’ve started to see some photos and everything looked beautiful; it was a romantic but relaxed vibe which was just what we wanted. I worried it wouldn’t feel like a wedding, but it did. Georgia was a gracious host, our guests enjoyed her home (we made sure to tell them that they could rent it as well for an overnight getaway) and we can’t wait to start reading her book. We stayed in touch after the wedding and I hope we meet again in the future for events or just a dinner to hear of her adventures! PS - her cats were big hits all around, too!”

“We had the absolute pleasure of having Star Valley Foods cater our 20th wedding anniversary celebration, and to say they exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. From start to finish, everything was flawless. The food was not only superb in taste but also presented so beautifully that our guests have not stopped talking about the dishes, the attention to detail, and the way every plate felt like an experience itself. They took time to understand our vision and executed it with perfection. The night began with appetizers that included lemon-poached shrimp that were perfectly tender, light, and bursting with citrusy flavor. The stuffed mushrooms with pecorino and panko gave them a savory crunch that made them addictive, and the charcuterie skewers were colorful, delicious, and creative. But it didn't stop there. The Italian focus of the menu was nothing short of spectacular. The meatballs were unforgettable and seasoned in a way that had even the Italians in the room nodding with approval. Several guests commented that they were the best meatballs they'd ever tasted. The rigatoni with Bolognese sauce was rich, hearty and layered with authentic flavor, and the chicken cutlets with lemon and Parmesan were both stars of the evening-- so delicious that guests were going back for seconds (and thirds). To finish the night, dessert was a sweet surprise of tiramisu with whipped mascarpone and aginetti sprinkle cookies. Star Valley Foods delivered more than just a meal; they created an experience that elevated our celebration and left every one of our guests raving. Most importantly, the people behind this company are as professional as they are kind- genuinely sweet, attentive, and caring in a way that made us feel special and celebrated right alongside our guests. We first met Seth at a wedding vendor expo event at our reception venue and were immediately impressed by the quality of his sound system and his ability to mix the selected soundtrack live. Seth is very communicative. In our first meeting with Seth, it was already immediately apparent that he was very experienced and very passionate about making our wedding day special and everything that we wanted it to be. We felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing, and on the day of the wedding he executed flawlessly. As for the preparation work, Seth schedules multiple meetings with you leading up to your wedding day which eases a lot of the nerves heading into busy planning season. Seth also has an app that you can download on your phone which is awesome because it allows you to edit details of your wedding day timeline and playlist on-the-go as we were making decisions during the planning months. On the day of the wedding, Seth came prepared having downloaded all the music that we talked about ahead of time and he kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT (over 3 hours). Seth responded to the audience and was able to mix a variety of genres that we had requested (like country, pop, spanish music, musical songs, etc) over various sets across the evening. He also coordinated our photo booth which was a nice touch that all the guests really enjoyed and had a second person stationed there for help all night. “I cannot say enough good things about Gabby and Claudio Cakes! I found Gabby on Zola while planning our 120-person wedding. Though I reached out to other bakers, Gabby stood out with her variety of items, designs, and services. I am an indecisive person, so when I contacted Gabby, we only had a rough idea of what we wanted: a small cake and a dessert table. Gabby’s excellent communication skills helped us find exactly what we didn’t even know we wanted. She took our vague ideas and brought them to life with her creativity. Gabby met with us for a tasting, where we got to try an impressive selection of cake combinations. From what I recall, she offered more choices than any other baker we considered. While we aren’t typically cake people, every single thing we tasted was absolutely delicious. Our wedding was in Ventura County, and Gabby was able to provide delivery from LA. Our wedding started later than usual, and Gabby was flexible with a later delivery time, which was a huge help since our wedding was outdoors—we didn’t want desserts melting before the reception started. Even our coordinator mentioned how great this was since it’s not a standard service. In the end, we ordered around 19 dozen assorted pastries and a small cake for photos. The desserts were such a hit that they were gone almost immediately, and even months later, guests are still talking about how amazing everything was. Some even mentioned being disappointed they didn’t get to try anything because the treats disappeared so quickly. Throughout the whole process, Gabby was professional, knowledgeable, and communicated flawlessly. I truly wish all my vendors were as amazing as her. I highly, highly recommend Gabby, and I’m just waiting for another event to work with her again. Thank you so much, Gabby, for making our day so dreamy!”

McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. “Can’t overstate what an incredible experience we had with the Oviatt. Not only was the venue perfect for wedding, but the staff truly made the entire planning and day-of experience so smooth and welcoming. The space is gorgeous and one-of-a-kind - we didn’t have to decorate at all, there were so many little spaces and pockets guests to explore and mingle in, all the original art deco decor and furnishings were so cool. We didn’t have to add anything (but could have brought in outside rentals and vendors if we wanted) - the venue rental includes seating for the ceremony and reception, the rooftop lounge was fully furnished was lounge furniture, the terrace is already decorated with bistro lighting, twinkle lights and ivy walls, and there is lounge seating throughout the indoor space. Also included were cocktail tables, easels for signage, tables for our buffet set up. All of these things at other venues we looked at were either additional costs or we’d have to bring in additional vendors to supply. What really made the experience though was the Oviatt staff - Lindsey and Gabe are both so friendly, approachable, welcoming and supportive. Other venues we looked at were all business, had a “take it or leave it” vibe and kind of made us feel like we should be grateful for even to be given the chance to have an event there; Lindsey and Gabe were the exact opposite - they weren’t just trying to rent out a space, they were helping us host our wedding and doing everything they could to make sure our plans were realized. They provided us with so much information beyond what was required of them - they had a whole packet with a suggested timeline for planning, a Planning Pod tool that enabled us to track our vendors and plan out our floorplans and seating charts, lists of vendors we needed to consider and decisions we needed to make. Gabe had an actual meeting with us to discuss what we were looking for in a venue and our wedding, and have is all of this information we even booked the space. Lindsey followed up with us periodically in the months leading up to the wedding to remind us of what we needed to be taking care of and making sure we were on track. Both of them were always generous with their time answering our many questions and being flexible in accommodating our requests. We felt so supported and cared for throughout the entire process, and felt more like we had friends in our corner than like we were coordinating with a vendor. Truly cannot say enough about how wonderful this team is and how appreciative we are. We looked at practically every venue in the downtown/northeast LA area, and this one not only blew away the competition in what they offered, but it was also the most affordable option! It’s really like having the efficiency of an all-inclusive venue without the restrictions. And of course all of our guests loved it - we are still getting comments on how unique and beautiful the space was, and how much everyone enjoyed having so many different spaces to explore and congregate throughout the evening. Best decision we could have made.”

“When I say that Dylan and the Moon Units MADE our wedding, I am not exaggerating. They not only delivered, the exceeded our already high expectations in every way possible. Music was extremely important for my husband and me, and we knew immediately that we wanted a live band to elevate the evening. We found Dylan and the Moon Units' information online, and after finding that they were very within our budget we reached out and Dylan invited us to one of their gigs in Hollywood. We loved their vibe and booked them. We asked Dylan to play both our ceremony and our reception, as well as play preset playlists for our pre-ceremony and cocktail hour. Now, I must admit, because music was so important for my husband and my special day, we had *very* specific ideas for what we wanted. Dylan was extremely communicative, answering all of my extremely needy and detailed emails in a timely manner and doing everything he could to reassure me that we were in good hands. We made selections from the list of songs they knew, and also asked them to learn about 10 new songs for us, ranging from unique arrangements of existing songs to deep cuts from 90's movies. Dylan's communication was warm, expeditious, and professional, and I felt really well taken care of. At our wedding, though, is where they exceeded our expectations. The live music they played was amazing, and set the tone for our wedding in the exact way we were hoping for. At the reception, they kept the energy up with a perfectly curated playlist of our requests (and we had quite a lot!) songs they knew would keep the party going. Their song choices appealed to the older crowd as well as the Millennial crowd. Dylan even help me set up a surprise performance for my husband, where I sang one of this favorite songs ("Go Cubs Go") with the backing of the Moon Units band. It was an incredibly special moment. And creating special moments was what Dylan and the Moon Units did best. Somehow, they managed to keep the dance floor packed the entire evening. Months after our wedding, our guests have continuously called out Dylan and the Moon Units as an absolute highlight of our wedding, saying that it was musically one of the best weddings they have ever been to. All-in-all, I cannot recommend Dylan and the Moon Units enough. As someone who was VERY specific about the music at my wedding, they exceeded all of our expectations. Book them for your wedding ASAP - you will not be disappointed.”

“Literally from the first interaction, Trey was thoroughly professional. We knew instantly that we'd be in good hands during the process, and he maintained through the big day. With Trey, we always had clarity over next steps, and we also got as much flexibility as we could ever hope for. “Aladdin films will make a lasting impression on you. They were referred to me by my mother's friend, and the way she described their approach to the shooting and customer service was just wow. My experience was no different, even better I would say. The first thing we noticed was that both photographer and videographer arrived earlier, so they would get enough footage for getting ready photos. The photographer was very professional, he would always point out if we posed in the wrong way, and there was no awkwardness when he took pictures of us. He would always lead us to where the best location to shoot, and which pose is the best. If I had ideas for a picture I would like to have, he would understand me and take the exact picture I wanted! The Videographer was very creative, he used wireless microphones to capture our voices when we were reading our letters to each other prior to the ceremony, and our wows during the ceremony. In the final video, we could hear our voices so clearly, as if we were recorded in a studio. Both of them decided to capture our wedding day as it was, we weren't bothered with extra posing that we did not need, and everything went flawlessly. And the end result was … I can’t express it other than IDEAL. We watched the video with our best man and maid of honor, we were all speechless! Aladdin Films filmed and edited our video in a way that I felt the whole spectrum of emotions that I felt that day. It’s unbelievable. The only advice I want to give to couples that are thinking of ordering their service is to reach out to them ASAP since your date may not be available anymore. We recommended them to my sister and 4 other friends and siblings that will marry this year and the next year. We’re looking forward to meeting you at my sister’s wedding!”

“My husband and I knew it would be an important task hiring a photo/videographer for our wedding. There’s SO many options and styles out there that it’s also daunting to commit to one. We found Cruzio Studios on The Knot and we are incredibly grateful we did. We were drawn to their journalistic style of capturing love between partners: intimate, natural (doesn’t look too posed), synergizes with the location, delicate, and sweet. After having phone calls with other vendors, we were most excited to work with Cruzio. Not only do they have an amazing portfolio (easily accessible on their beautiful website), but they have great packages to offer their clients. Our package came with an engagement shoot and the results were mind-blowing. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but my partner & I don’t show a lot of PDA and the Cruzio team captured our love so sweetly. When we got the photos and video short, we kept on saying, “That’s us!!” Given their portfolio, we trusted their expertise and artistic eye. Not only were they kind while providing clear directions and great ideas, but they’ll do their best to get the optimal shot. They’re immensely generous with their talents considering all the thought and detail they put into their product. Also, they’re really easy to talk to. We felt like we were just hanging out with friends who are very talented photo/videographers! Cruzio Studios definitely did not disappoint on our wedding day. I’m definitely a planner, so I had a list of group photos we wanted for our wedding day. The Cruzio team had that list with them and ensured we got the shots. They are so professional and stuck to our wedding day timeline with such grace. And although our venue spaces weren’t the biggest, they adapted. To that, my husband & I never felt like they were ever in the way or super noticeable. And, of course, their final products are amazing. They captured the excitement leading up our first look & ceremony and joyous celebration during the reception. Also, the romantics are simply so pretty and caught our love perfectly. “We found Lulan Studios about nine months before our wedding day. We were immediately drawn in by their professionalism and their reputation. Lulan is an inclusive photographer who was very receptive to our wedding vision. He and his team were incredibly kind, supportive, and helpful all throughout the process. We elected to go with Lulan Wang himself for our photographer who worked with an associate. After our initial consultation we were turned over to Shannon who was our go to contact for day to day clarifications and vendor contact until Lulan took over just before the wedding. Shannon was immensely resourceful and responsive. She communicated with our coordinator very efficiently and was always on top of our booking. We are very grateful to her as well for making the process so easy and for continuing that communication after the fact. On the day, Lulan and his associate were spectacular. It was clear his associate had more than enough talent for the job just like Lulan, but they divided and concurred by using two different types of cameras for different types of shots. We regret not doing an engagement session with them, but we will likely return for an Anniversary session in the future. We didn’t even need one though, because he is skilled enough that he understood us as a couple immediately. They made us feel comfortable and confident. They hyped us up and moved through the shot list masterfully. Nothing was missed and we captured far more than we expected. Please look through our attached photos as they speak for themselves. One of the most exciting moments was when Lulan handed us a little blue book filled with about fifteen physically printed preview photos DURING THE RECEPTION. A lovely surprise that absolutely shocked me. Turnover was 4-6 weeks and we got ours just before the six week mark right on schedule. We were floored. They are jaw-dropping. We ultimately got 950 photos permanently digitally available for high resolution download and access to a shop with impressive options for prints and albums of a wide array of types and sizes. I’m thrilled to show them to you here and implore you to consider booking Lulan Studios. We trusted in their ability from the beginning and we were not disappointed. They are among if not the absolute best in the business.”
