Rob and all the staff we worked with at Second Song were great! I vetted several DJs for my husband’s surprise 70th birthday celebration and selected Second Song live DJ because they were able to provide a soloist and a sax player to compliment the overall DJ experience. Our DJ was Ace, Sax Player Austin and singer Natalie. I booked 11 months in advance, had a phone meet and greet 6 weeks out and had several revisions to the itinerary as we got closer to the event. Any changes , questions or ideas I had were promptly acknowledged, answered and collaborated on which continually reassured me that Second Song took a personal interest in making our night one to remember. I also found out that Second Song is frequently hired by my employer, Providence Medical Center in Torrance, for their Foundation events.

10/10 would recommend randall!! We booked him for our engagement shoot and wedding and we are beyond appreciative and impressed. RDL is the only photographer my husband and I could agree on. We liked his photography style, the quality of the work, the price, and his personality. He even guided us with the timeline to make the most of the time and photography. For both the engagement shoot and wedding day, he guided us and made us feel comfortable. We’re def not models but he made us look great! We were able to get some posed shots and some Candids. He was PATIENT with us and didn’t make us feel awkward at all. The day of the wedding, I got so many compliments from our families with how they appreciated his presence. He kindly directed people and was patient with us and our guests. Def professional guy and just honestly a good personality. He’s also priced well. I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. My partner and I’s venue search ended the second we ascended in the historical elevator to the penthouse of the James Oviatt Building. The Oviatt venue is a multifaceted piece of beautiful Art Deco history that lends itself well to whatever event you are trying to throw. In our case, they hosted our wedding. We will forever be grateful for their immense care and kindness leading up to, on, and after the big day. We met the President Gabe first, who had his own wedding at this venue before he managed it. He made us feel right at home and answered every question we could muster. Our one hour showing turned into a two and a half hour conversation where his care and passion for the venue and his clients became very clear. We felt a connection right away. He shared a wealth of great advise and reassurances and gave us an impeccable pool of preferred vendors. We were sold in minutes. Every event is different, but my partner and I did not feel the space needed any help to become beautiful. The architectural art of the space is breathtaking and unique from the valet area outside of the Cicada Club all the way to the terrace. We saved a fortune on a florist. Who needs one when everything is already so classy? Speaking of class, the Director of Events Lindsey took point on execution and was our resource during the planning process. I as an individual am not the most communicative. I needed someone with that attention to detail and she delivered. After giving her all the venue required specifications (seating chart, insurances, etc,) two conversations was all it took for her to equip the venue with everything it needed and make it gorgeous. It seemed effortless for her. Not a spec of dust or dirt to be seen and the staff was respectful, efficient, and welcoming. I had a panic attack because I forgot to ask them for valet and she was able to get her people on it without issue the same week as the wedding. (Don’t be like me, but that is a perfect example of how on top of it they are.) They had EVERYTHING we could have wanted for a downtown metropolitan wedding and then some. If they didn’t have it? They knew exactly where to refer you. One of my personal favorite features was their completely customizable LED lighting strips on the hedges that lined either side of the rooftop. We had them a bright warm light for dinner and then a cycle of rainbow colors for dancing. They are inclusive and welcoming to any and all who come to visit. We felt valued, respected, and well cared for. It truly was the best day of our lives and we owe it all to The Oviatt. I implore to to reach out to them. I can say with certainty that you won’t be disappointed and whatever it is you are planning will become a memorable experience unlike any other.

Literally from the first interaction, Trey was thoroughly professional. We knew instantly that we'd be in good hands during the process, and he maintained through the big day. With Trey, we always had clarity over next steps, and we also got as much flexibility as we could ever hope for. We had a slightly unusual (or, unconventional) ceremony in a couple of ways, and Trey handled every request without any issue. Lastly, and most importantly for a DJ, he nailed the music. The Dart Collective was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, their communication was easy, detailed, and incredibly kind. One of our favorite moments was when they created an NPR-style intro for the mother-son dance (his mom loves NPR) - it was such a unique and memorable touch that had all our guests laughing and smiling. I don’t even know where to begin. I am so pleased I went with Patrice and her team as my day of coordinator. She also did a lot more than just day of! She made plans for us and talked to all of the vendors, conducted our rehearsal, worked with the venue, and took care of all those nitty gritty details. I’m pretty type A and was probably emailing her more than I should have for only choosing the day of package (lol), but she always responded promptly and kindly to every little thing I had to say. Her team was so nice and so professional and they really made me feel like they cared about my wedding - like it was more than just the next job they had. My only regret was not hiring them sooner - I could have saved myself a lot of time and energy. Thank you Patrice and team. I cannot say enough good things about Michelle and her team! Michelle was the very first vendor we hired, and she was there for us and helped to guide and support us through the entire process, and I trusted her completely to bring our vision to life. I felt that she really cared about us as a couple, and that care was evident in the work that she and her team did on our wedding day. Our florals were gorgeous, and I received numerous compliments from guests both during and after the wedding. Her team did such a great job with set up and clean up, and they went above and beyond for our big day. We loved working with her!

The Moon Units made our wedding day truly spectacular! Every single guest says that a highlight of our wedding was the Moon Units. We loved how professional and flexible they were. Each member of the band is beyond talented and phenomenal. You must hire the Moon Units and I promise you will have the best event you’ve ever been to or hosted. The Moon Units performance at cocktail hour was incredible and then their performance for two dance sets was SO MUCH FUN! The bass player will even get on the dance floor and play with you which is just such a highlight! They are so versatile and know just about every song. Incredible. They can also help MC the wedding/event and that went flawlessly! It’s really amazing how they can cater to such a variety of ages/demographic with their music/vibe. Again every conversation we have about our wedding includes some glowing statement about the band. When you hire The Moon Units, you don’t have to worry about the details/setup, they are such experts at what they do. Thank you so much to the Moon Units for being a part of our big day. This is a long overdue review for Sandy. I had my wedding back in October 2024. When I first started looking for a MUA for my wedding day, I was shocked to find that so many vendors ghosted me or were rude in their responses. By contrast, Sandy was polite and responded quickly to my inquiries. I immediately wanted to hire her solely based on her demeanor and professionalism. Not only that, but her example work on Instagram showcased many good examples of what I was looking for for my wedding look. I wanted something classic and soft glam since I am not used to wearing so much makeup. Sandy delivered exactly what I was looking for! My makeup looked so beautiful on my day and lasted all night. Note: In the photos I am posing with a brush at the request of my photographer. But trust me, the look was all Sandy, I had nothing to do with it hahaha.
