    We had the absolute pleasure of having James from All The Above Events DJ our wedding, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, James was incredibly organized and efficient—working closely with us to plan our playlists and the overall flow of the day. But beyond his professionalism, what truly stood out was his intentionality and genuine care. One of our favorite moments from the day was when James noticed that my husband and I had a brief break. He came over to check in on us, see if we needed anything, and even brought us water. It was such a simple gesture, but it spoke volumes about the kind of person he is and showed how much he cares about his clients. James also has an incredible talent for reading the room. He knew exactly what to play to keep the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long. Thank you, James, for making our wedding day so unforgettable. We’ll be recommending you to everyone we know who needs a DJ!

    James was our DJ/MC at our wedding, and he did such a great job of keeping the evening going and orchestrating what was an amazing (but very busy!) day. He jumped in to help us and our photographer fit in a BUNCH of family and friend photos right after the ceremony before quickly transitioning to our reception, speeches, and the dance floor. We appreciate how flexible and responsive James was to our requests and vision for the wedding. It was such a pleasure having his support and expertise for our wedding!

    Just had a wedding with James as our DJ and lighting expert. One of the first things he asked in our introductory meeting was how to pronounce my name. That attention to detail carried on when he asked us all sorts of questions we would never have even thought of as part of planning. He also worked very smoothly with our wedding coordinator (as well as all of our other vendors). As for the day of, he made sure the dance floor was packed by reading the room and changing up the music genres based on what people liked. We just gave him generic genres (pop, old-school hip hop) that people in our age group might like and he ran with it. Also he does lights. The lights for dinner were gorgeous and they transform into dance lighting once dancing starts. Also also, his prices for dj mc lighting were very reasonable. We compared with several other djs.

    I want to thank James for going above and beyond for our wedding. The best thing I loved about working with him is how prompt and quickly he responded. As a bride who is juggling a million things, not having to worry about a vendor responding back and James being on top of it was a breath of relief. He is professional, efficient and dependable. I had specific requests and being a visual person, I asked for sample videos. He took the time to curate each video and was never pushy. Thank you again James, 5 stars forsure :)
