We had our cocktail hour and wedding reception at the Portofino Hotel & Marina. There was quite a bit of staff turnover throughout the months during our planning process and we were nervous when our initial catering manager left, but we were so grateful to have Rain who took over as our catering manager and did an excellent job with our wedding reception! Rain stepped in seamlessly and was wonderful to work with. He took the time to understand our vision and provided suggestions to enhance our reception. His professionalism was evident in every interaction, which gave us great peace of mind during the planning process. Rain helped us create special details, like our signature drinks, and included thoughtful touches that really made our wedding day feel extra special. Thank you Rain!! We received numerous compliments from our guests about the delicious food and impeccable service. The venue itself is stunning and we couldn’t have picked a better reception location. I literally gasped when I walked into the ballroom and saw it all come together with the white linens, the gold chivari chairs, the white dance floor, the blue ocean and sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows. It was even more breathtaking as the sun was setting. Our reception was more beautiful than we could have imagined and I’m so glad we chose the Portofino!

Sante Social absolutely exceeded expectations at my wedding. Their mobile bar setup was sleek and professional, and the variety of drinks they offered kept all 120 guests happy throughout the night. Having four cocktails on tap plus wine was the perfect mix, and it really elevated the overall atmosphere of the celebration. The spicy watermelon margarita and the Moscow mule were huge hits, so much so that several guests made a point to tell me how much they loved them. In fact, one couple was so impressed that they asked for Sante Social’s information to book them for their own wedding this fall, which says it all. Beyond the drinks, the service itself was outstanding. The bartender was not only skilled but also incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure everyone felt taken care of. One of the most impressive aspects was the speed of service. Despite the size of the event, lines for cocktails rarely formed because of how quickly and efficiently drinks were made. That efficiency, combined with the top-notch hospitality, created a smooth and enjoyable experience for every guest. Thank you again to Sante Social for making the night such a success. I am already looking forward to booking them again for my next event.

I loved working with Robin at the Sonesta Hotel. She was an excellent event manager who cared for all our needs and was very accommodating. I had one problem that had nothing to do with Robin or the Sonesta: Someone on the wedding coordinator's staff stole my wallet during the event. We hired Koral, the wedding coordinator, which was our responsibility. Overall, it was a beautiful venue with excellent hotel staff. I would recommend the Sonesta 100%.

They are amazing, professional, pay attention to all the details (large and small), fun, and will be there every step of the way to ensure everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, will go off without a hitch. The Planning From the time I reached out to Kaycie via Zola, she was responsive, available, flexible, and most importantly, she took the TIME to discuss things with me and answer all of my questions (and I had A LOT). She truly LIFTED a weight off my shoulders and helped me plan the best day while living 3,000 miles away. Yes, that is right, I planned a wedding for ~200 people from 3,000 miles away in Boston, MA with her help, and you would never have guessed it because it was flawless. There were no glitches and she was even able to help us get some last minutes items to help make the day even more memorable like glass champagne flutes and helping to collect our gift box during the night. The Food In addition to all of the above, the food was AMAZING. We enjoy cooking and were a bit nervous with a catering company, but the chicken and fish were moist, the meat tender, the veggies were roasted so well, the rolls, the appetizers and the late-night snacks (completely Kaycie's idea that I almost did not do and they ended up being a real hit and needed!!), were ALL SO INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS!! Final Notes I cannot thank her and her team enough for making a difficult task and a long day feel effortless and so much more than the day I could have ever hoped for. I was not sure what to expect when we arrived, but she even met us a few days before the first time we met in person to do a final walk-through that helped us envision the day and she DELIVERED and then some! Do not doubt that you won't need the help, you will. Do not wait until you have already pulled your hair out, because you'll get there. If you read nothing else, read this: YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH CRITICS CHOICE. CHOOSE KAYCIE AND HER TEAM!! P.S. I am planning to add some photos soon!

Bluewater Grill in Redondo Beach was the perfect venue for our wedding! We used the downstairs patio for our cocktail hour and the upstairs Avalon room for our reception. From the moment we started working with Vida, their venue coordinator, we knew we were in great hands. Vida was incredibly responsive, organized, and paid close attention to every detail to ensure our day went off without a hitch. She was so flexible and went above and beyond to help us execute all the details of our vision, making the entire planning process much less stressful. The value we received for the money was unbeatable - the high ceilings and stunning views of the sunset from the windows created such a beautiful, nautical ambiance. For smaller weddings (we had about 90 guests), we could not recommend Bluewater Grill more highly.

Seth was the best wedding DJ that we could have hoped for! We first met Seth at a wedding vendor expo event at our reception venue and were immediately impressed by the quality of his sound system and his ability to mix the selected soundtrack live. Seth is very communicative. In our first meeting with Seth, it was already immediately apparent that he was very experienced and very passionate about making our wedding day special and everything that we wanted it to be. We felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing, and on the day of the wedding he executed flawlessly. As for the preparation work, Seth schedules multiple meetings with you leading up to your wedding day which eases a lot of the nerves heading into busy planning season. Seth also has an app that you can download on your phone which is awesome because it allows you to edit details of your wedding day timeline and playlist on-the-go as we were making decisions during the planning months. On the day of the wedding, Seth came prepared having downloaded all the music that we talked about ahead of time and he kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT (over 3 hours). Seth responded to the audience and was able to mix a variety of genres that we had requested (like country, pop, spanish music, musical songs, etc) over various sets across the evening. He also coordinated our photo booth which was a nice touch that all the guests really enjoyed and had a second person stationed there for help all night. We couldn't recommend Seth enough to other couples who are in need of a DJ! Thank you, Seth!

The light, fluffy texture and incredible flavors of vanilla and chocolate had our guests raving for days about how it was the best wedding cake they'd ever tried. Can't say enough about the quality of James's work, his attention to detail, his professionalism, and curating the best dance party experience at our wedding!! From start to finish he was extremely prepared and provided us with all the materials needed to organize the music and run of show. As both DJ and MC, James truly went the extra mile to make our day run seamlessly, and made us feel so special. He was even accommodating to our last minute music requests and was very patient with us. In addition to being extremely professional, prepared, and organized, he is such a down-to-earth and kind, genuine person. He even captured some videos of our first dance and grand entrance that we wouldn't have had otherwise because we didn't have a videographer. This was so thoughtful and truly above and beyond! We personally added on the photo booth option and are glad we did, as it was a hit. His rates were very reasonable as well especially for the package we got. Everyone raved about James and the music. He made our wedding day exactly the party we hoped for - the most fun we've ever had! Highly recommend James & All The Above Events for your next wedding or big event.

I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. McKenna was the one who made sure that we got our disco ball, and it was absolutely perfect! That’s just one example of the many ways McKenna ensured our dream wedding would become a reality. On the day of, McKenna and her team were so efficient and handled everything so that my husband and I could relax and focus on ourselves. We got to our venue and everything was already done and ready to start the day! McKenna was amazing at time management throughout the day, and she was so helpful to not only us, but our families, wedding party and guests as well. Everything went perfectly on schedule and all the crazy ideas that we had came to life with no issues! It was truly the best day of our lives and it wouldn’t have been possible without McKenna’s help! We are still floating after our wedding at The Oviatt. This venue is an absolute hidden gem — our guests couldn’t believe that such a stunning Art Deco jewel was sitting right in the middle of downtown LA. The space is so gorgeous on its own that we barely had to bring in any florals, which not only saved us a ton of money but let the venue’s incredible character really shine. Gabe, Lindsay, and the entire team were phenomenal to work with. We asked a lot of questions throughout the process, and they were patient, responsive, and supportive every step of the way. On the day of, every staff member helped ensure everything ran smoothly, letting us just relax and enjoy all the moments that mattered.
