We cannot recommend McArthur Weddings & Events enough for your next event! We specifically worked with Laura & Heli who were very helpful each step of the way for planning our wedding. They were very knowledgeable of our venue and vendors which made the planning process so much smoother. As a couple planning a wedding from out of town as well, it was very beneficial to have their local expertise. They also genuinely were so excited about our wedding & all the details we had envisioned, which made the planning process even more fun for us! After hiring them, we were very quickly provided a whole folder of documentation, including an entire month-by-month timeline breakdown to keep us on track with wedding planning. This was extremely beneficial as there were things we didn’t even know to think about! While there were also set check-ins in our contract, they were very responsive to all emails & willing to schedule additional calls to answer our questions as they came up. We had quite a few particular details we wanted executed as well for our tablescapes. They were very patient & understanding of these & paid attention to all the specifics. Day of our wedding, absolutely everything was taken care of for us! They kept us on track with the day of timeline & also were ready to pivot if needed. For example, it was raining up until our scheduled ceremony time and they were ready with alternate plans without us needing to ask. The day was completely stress free (even when the weather tried to challenge us!) and smooth thanks to both Laura & Heli. They were very attentive, organized & genuinely kind throughout the whole process. We wish we could have another wedding just to work with them again! If you are looking for a wedding planner that you can trust, will be detail oriented & leave you stress free, McArthur Weddings & Events are the planners for you!

McArthur Weddings & Events was the best wedding planner we could ask for. They have multiple packages to choose from which helps when you have a budget! Laura helped us with our initial wedding planning, answering any and all questions we had (there were many), and helped us to book/source some vendors for us! Heli, one of the lead planners at McArthur, was our saving grace. She dedicated many hours and I'm sure many late nights to ensure our wedding was the best day of our lives (it was). She met us at every important step of the way and kept us on track with our wedding timeline, and what we needed to do and when. She was at our walk through for our venue, rehearsal, and coordinated with our many vendors so everyone was on the same page and we didn't have to stress! She helped with organization of everything we needed to bring, created a list for us so we wouldn't forget, and even helped with the seating chart, which was a HUGE help. We had some last minute cancellations and she updated everyone and everything for us like it was nothing!!! On the day of our wedding, she helped set everything up in our reception and ceremony space and helped with packing up and getting it to the right place at the end of the night!! We had rain on and off all afternoon and decided to keep the ceremony outside and you would have thought that was the plan all along (in the pouring rain). She pivoted and worked with our venue to get guests umbrellas and communicate all the timeline changes with ease and kept us calm the whole time. Bonus- she sent our marriage license to our local office so we didn't have to worry about it during our honeymoon. I could go on and on about how great Heli and McArthur Weddings is. Heli was truly amazing and we are so grateful for her and all of her hard work. You will not regret hiring them for your big day. They will make sure it is the perfect day for you.

From our very first call with Laura, we knew we’d found the right planner. While most planners kick off with a pitch about their style, Laura immediately focused on us: our vision, our priorities, and our budget. That personal approach never wavered throughout the process. One of the biggest reasons we wanted to hire a planner was to avoid the overwhelm of sourcing vendors. Laura handled that seamlessly—using her strong network and existing relationships to curate 2–4 excellent options for us, rather than leaving us scrolling through hundreds online. Every vendor we selected through her was a perfect fit, and her coordination with them made the planning process smooth and stress-free. On our wedding day, everything was immaculate. If there were any issues behind the scenes, we never knew about them because Laura solved them quickly and quietly. Every detail was executed flawlessly, and our guests couldn’t stop raving—from the food, to the décor, to the flow of the evening. We heard over and over again: “This is the best wedding I’ve ever been to.” As people who love hosting and entertaining, it was incredibly meaningful that our guests felt so cared for and that every detail reflected our vision. For anyone considering a planner, my advice is to choose someone like Laura who not only has strong vendor connections but who also takes the time to deeply understand your vision. McArthur Weddings (and Heli S. in particular) was incredible - we are so glad that we hired them to coordinate our wedding at North Star Gatherings this summer. We had 3 planning sessions with her prior to our rehearsal dinner and wedding day, and we left each one feeling even more excited and confident about our wedding than we did going in. Heli’s organizational skills are excellent, and all of her emails and spreadsheets are perfectly formatted and laid out such that you will be able to save so much time and stress throughout the course of planning. Our wedding day also went precisely according to plan, no doubt in large part because Heli had all of our vendors marching to the beat of her drum. Finally, she was wonderful during our rehearsal dinner and on the day of our wedding. She had such a calm and trusting presence, especially with our families, and was able to make people naturally feel like everything is going perfectly - even while she is dealing with a million moving pieces. I am so glad that we hired McArthur Weddings because they truly saved us so much time and stress throughout this process.
