I love to plan all events, especially Wedding's. I don't view this as work, I view this as fun and a hobby, and I treat every wedding as if it was my own. From Planning to Execution, I view everything as if it was my own event, so I strive for perfection in everything! I love to craft and can make anything that you need: Bridesmaids Gifts, Seating Charts, Hangover Kits, you name it, I can do it!

I love to see the happiness that these events bring you. Seeing you happy and smiling at the end of each planning session and day is what drives my passion.   • More stress with this planner than without one

    If you’re looking for someone who is detail oriented, a good communicator, and professional/well connected do NOT book Samantha. My examples of this: * when it came to booking vendors she had one or two options per category. I thought this was normal until I spoke to another planner who said she gives 7 recommendations minimum per category and will continue to help find vendors until the perfect one is found. * I had mentioned I wanted to incorporate fake florals to cut costs and be eco friendly. I asked for her assistance on finding well rendered ones preferably with minimal plastic and her best idea was to “look online at hobby lobby”. * When it came time to start the timeline I had to reach out to her to get that started. A lot of assumptions were made in regards to the timeline and the processional order that we’re not phrased as an inquiry. I am estranged from my father so I didn’t appreciate the assumption I would be dancing with him or that he would be walking me down the aisle when he wasn’t even in attendance. * August 9th almost 2 months exactly before my wedding she tells me she is PREGNANT AND DUE 2 DAYS BEFORE MY OCTOBER 10th WEDDING, on top of this extremely poor timing and communication she didn’t immediately apologize in her initial email and made assumptions that I would be understanding because I’m “so nice” (screenshots of email attached). I also think it’s important to note that she did not offer a discount for not being able to fully fulfill her job and the other person who left a negative review recently only received one because they ASKED and this shows a lack of professionalism and integrity * she didn’t become actually active in my wedding until August and her work mostly surmised of making a timeline,a diagram for ceremony and reception, and minimal vendor contact primarily with the venue * I don’t believe my DJ was ever actually contacted by her. On my timeline she put that he was arriving at 2:15p for set up which was 15 min before guests would arrive and 45 min before the wedding was set to start. I spoke to him the week before the wedding and he asked me if I had a planner and told me he would be arriving at 12:30p. * the step in planner that replaced her wasn’t brought on til 2 weeks before my wedding, which thank god she was there for my wedding because she was actually amazing I’d highly recommend her: Alyssa Colvin @saltandpineeventsco she may be more expensive but she’s worth every penny While I don’t think Samantha meant to cause harm or stress I believe some much needed training and personal development needs to happen before she is tasked with handling anyone else’s big day.

    I had to reach out to Samantha as our wedding date got closer, she did not reach out to me. On the day of the wedding, she was approaching me about things that needed to be done, rather than proactively handling them. Disappointingly, she left before the end of the wedding rental time frame I gave her, without communicating this to my family who was still there after our grand exit. Overall, the quality of Lily Meadow Events' work was very poor - my family had to step in to help set up due to Samantha’s poor timeline, and other vendors had to lend a hand as well, at a cost to me. She stated in her response to me “typically the venue handles…” certain table set up but I did include a digital PDF of what was needed from her to set up as the venue was not able to accommodate my request of assisting with that. Again, I was the one who reached out in May with our August wedding, we had a call in June and I was a bit scattered but told her I’d send a PDF of my wedding binder. She did not reach out to ask for it, I sent that in July given all my own wedding planning chaos & that’s when she was informed of her responsibilities that did meet contract standards. We even lost money on our deposit due to the lack of cleanup at the end of the night, which my family ended up having to take care of as best as they could. I had to call her post wedding, mind you after my husband and I got back to our hotel from our grand exit, 20 mins away from the venue, and she was already gone, did offer to go back, BUT we only had 35 or so minutes left to clean the venue and she was already too far to make it back on time. I would not recommend Lily Meadow Events based on their poor communication, lack of accountability in regard to her email response about the “additional set up responsibilities” that she claims weren’t communicated to her, and the burden she placed on my family and other vendors to ensure our special day went smoothly. Samantha did give me a partial refund of 300 after I requested it but ultimately was not worth the 700 she did pocket. We ended up also finding out that a few of our rental chargers and napkins were missing so her work was careless. She also stated in her email she was “actively working without pause” but there were multiple times that I had to send a bridesmaid to go find her, might I add there were times that I even saw her coming from behind the stage? I understand a break and taking time to sit as someone working an event, but to claim that she was working without pause shows lack of integrity. She had dinner, she had dessert, she was missing a few times that my girls went looking for her, there was plenty of stopping. My own mom requested that favors be placed and she disregarded her until I had my wait staff start doing it. I also saw my wait staff standing around and eating our dessert instead of clearing tables, something that wasn’t a part of their job. Something I hoped my day of planner would’ve seen and handled but didn’t, my husband had to. Weddings are expensive and chaotic as is! I regret hiring her and could’ve just given the responsibility to my parents, but I wanted them to enjoy the day too and they couldn’t even do that. I just wanted someone on my team and I couldn’t count on her for that. I appreciate her apology after my email but had I not reached out, I know I would’ve never heard from her again to offer an apology or some money back for her lack of upholding the contract.

    Samantha was absolutely AMAZING. I booked her for day of coordination, but she went above and beyond! She helped me with the floor plan and our timeline, and everything ran so smoothly! She has such attention to detail, and made sure all of the things we wanted to happen, happened throughout the chaotic day. She is also unbelievably kind, and an absolutely joy to work with! We will be recommending Samantha to anyone we know getting married!

    Samantha Vande Vegte and her team were incredible to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, Samantha was always available to answer any questions we had and provide guidance throughout the planning process. Her communication style was top-notch - she was responsive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect. Samantha was a true "go-getter", helping us create a detailed timeline and seamlessly setting up every aspect of the wedding. She was extremely kind and helpful, and was there for us every step of the way, even responding promptly to last-minute texts. Thanks to Samantha's incredible work, our wedding day was absolutely perfect. We are so grateful for her dedication and highly recommend her services to any couple planning their big day.
