All in the Details is a home grown small business. Just two moms who wanted to take their passion for details and make people's vision come to life.     I had high hopes for All in the Details Events and More, but unfortunately the communication and execution of our wedding day fell short. I had 2 lengthy phone calls with Marta leading up to the wedding, but I don’t feel that she was ever able to fully grasp my vision for the details. As a result, my family took on the majority of the work for the details and decor, even going behind her to change some things she was doing, like the spacing of the chairs for the ceremony, as she was setting the chairs up in a way that each chair was spaced far apart from each other, which was awkward. On the day of the wedding, Marta didn’t bring her emergency kit, seemingly assuming my family had everything handled, even though my family was not paid for their services. There were also some missteps, like Marta interrupting our guests during the ceremony to hand out petals for people to throw, which should have been done before the ceremony started. We also struggled to stay on timeline throughout the day, and ended up with only a short time of party music during our reception. To top it off, Marta was dressed quite casually in leggings and a tank top, not at all what I would expect from a professional wedding coordinator. Overall, Marta was nice enough during our interactions and I’m sure she may have handled some situations I never heard about, but I ultimately felt her services were not worth the cost and my family could’ve handled everything just as well without her.

    Emily, I can sincerely say that I am astonished by these comments when none of these things were ever discussed with me. The decor and set up was mainly done the day before which was not a service that was included in our contact. Despite it not being included I showed up to assist and having to change some things around as linens were laid inside out and centerpieces were still being made. I brought my entire emergency kit to assist with set up to include my steamer which was not used as another one was provided. I did bring my emergency kit that day as I was wiping down tables after a bird came in and created a mess on some of the tables that required the use of my tide wipes which are in my kit. On the day of the chairs which were rented the week of the event were already being laid out by family and were being directed by a family member. I assumed that they were done with direction as there was no plan for chairs during our consult/design so I assisted. When direction was given I placed the chairs with two other gentlemen even though again it was not a service I include. I provided them direction on how many chairs needed to be in each row despite the constant hovering of family that wanted to take control of the day. The coffee set up was done also with no direction and because the catering staff was not hired to complete this task and my licensure does not cover food/drink it was done at the best of my capacity. I was scolded may I add by an aunt because there was no trash bin next to the coffee station which is a cat seeing function not a coordination function (for which I was hired), nonetheless I found a trash bin to place so as to maintain everyone’s composure. The rose petals were a last minute add on as well and I did not disrupt the ceremony to hand them out but rather inconspicuously handed some to those in the innermost rows. To address the timeline everything flowed with the exception of the parent dances which was beyond my control as there was a key player that needed assistance at the time. I was dressed in black slacks and a black blouse which is my attire. It was a hot day and I did not wear a sweater to cover my arms. In the end I did the best I could despite the last minute additions that were not discussed with me to plan for appropriately as well as the inexcusably entitled demeanor of family members who berated me for things that were not my purview. In actuality my contract says details that both demeaning/condescending behavior and lack of communication are ground for me to break the contract with full payment but I executed in the hostility solely because I am a professional.

    Working with Marta was easily one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process. She provided so much help in terms of reviewing our vendor contracts, providing advice, and facilitating the rehearsal. On the day of the wedding she was a CHAMPION making sure everything ran smoothly and helping us clean up. The decor setup looked perfect and we had an amazing day. We are confident that we would not have enjoyed our wedding day as much if we hadn’t hired her.

    I could not picture our wedding going so smoothly if it was not for Marta. Her thoughtful approach made it so nothing was forgotten. She knew the timing of everything down to the minute and was able to pivot quickly when necessary. During planning, she brought up suggestions and ideas that we didn’t think of. She had a creative vision when walking the venue and had an eye for all of the details. She was a pleasure to work with. Most importantly, she was a friendly face and was so reassuring before I walked down the aisle. I would recommend Marta to everybody!!!!

    Marta was a true gem to work with! She helped us pull off a perfect day that ran smoothly from start to finish. We hired Marta as our day of coordinator, but she went above and beyond in her planning calls leading up to the day, making a shared drive to help us stay organized, and doing a venue walkthrough with us. Marta even contacted all of our vendors ahead of time to make sure everyone was on the same page. Every time I had a question or was worried about a potential issue, Marta was two steps ahead and already had a plan to address my concern. On the day of our event, Marta was calm, professional, and handled everything that came up with poise and grace. She ensured that all of our decor was set up beautifully, and even found a way to arrange pieces that I wasn't sure how to incorporate in a way that completely blew me away. I also saw her take on multiple challenges and confront logistical issues with extreme competence and a smile on her face. I was able to completely sit back and enjoy the day without worrying about anything that came up thanks to Marta and her team. We can't recommend them enough! Thank you!!!
