As you walk into the Little Chapel in-the-Woods you are entering into a tradition. Located on the edge of Texas Woman’s University, the chapel is a secluded sanctuary that has held weddings since September 1939, a few months before its dedication by Eleanor Roosevelt. We have two beautiful ballrooms to host the wedding reception of your dreams! The Chapel attendant is present to set up the chapel for the wedding, set up the sound system and instruct your vendors on usage, and to oversee the facility. They will be happy to provide limited guidance and answer any questions you may have about the rehearsal or processional. If you desire full-scale coordination you are welcome to provide a planner or even a friend with experience to manage the flow of your wedding ceremony.

Field of Flowers is an event venue located on a 27-acre farm in New Waverly, Texas. The original home was built in 1887 and was moved from Willis, Texas. In 2011, the owners made vast improvements which now presents a 4,000 square foot East Texas school house style home. The home is surrounded by hay fields and a two-acre stocked pond. Full access to a storage room packed with decor for your use is included with all rental packages. The Cottage offers multiples rooms and a mirrored salon. The Cabin (dating back to 1905) has been remodeled to serve as a getting ready-space as well. Our Chapel features family-made stained-glass and antique pews. The chapel sides can open to provide the scenery of being outdoors with the convenience of being indoors. The two-story Reception Hall can accommodate up to 242 people. Exposed wooden beams contrast with chandeliers that cast a welcoming glow across the interior.
