“DJ Brandon was top tier. Seriously. I could not recommend him enough. We communicated with him over email and just once over FaceTime and he just absolutely nailed everything the day of. He was so dialed in with the music, he would literally be changing the keys of the songs to seamlessly flow into the next song and he never let a song play for too long. We had so many people on the dance floor and I was so shocked at just how many of my guests weeks later just continue to gush over how good he was. Also, even after my husband and I did our exit I heard there was a ton of people who got back on the dance floor which is exactly what we would have wanted! I literally never write reviews but I was compelled to write this because he was just THAT GOOD. Kind, hardworking, communicated well but didn't need too much from us the day of which is super helpful. Anytime I needed a quick change he was on it. He listens and his ability to read the room is unmatched. He also just always kept the energy up so much. If you ever need a DJ, please go with Brandon and Prestige. I wasn't sure how it would go but our wedding was nearly perfect in part because of Brandon. I am so thankful.”

“I honestly thought the vision of an outdoor winter wedding was going to continue to just be a dream. So many people told us we were crazy and “good luck” because why on earth would we get married outside in the cold. It wasn’t until I brought this idea up to the Holly vault, and they immediately said “let’s do it!” The staff at this venue were out there until minutes before the ceremony blowing off snow from the chairs, putting salt down, and cranking the heat lamps. A huge shoutout to my coordinator Sam, and all the staff at this venue who worked their butts off to make this happen for us. Every single coordinator, server, bartender, and staff member at this venue worked so hard to make our day/night so special. “I was about 4 months out from my wedding date when I came to terms that I needed help - as any bride who thought they could do it all on their own lol. I was struggling finding my last two vendors - draping & aisle runner. I knew on the day of the wedding I simply just could not be everywhere at once and needed extra hands. Luckily I came across Monica on Zola and thank God I did. I mainly reached out to her to assist with the rehearsal and day of coordinating but she went above and beyond that. In addition to helping secure my last two vendors, Monica made sure I stayed on top of everything and gave suggestions on things I didn’t even think of in regard to smaller details and flow of events. She was readily available if ever I needed her opinion or guidance on anything…. Or if I needed to just vent and rant lol. I literally did not have to worry about a thing the day of the wedding because of Monica and her assistant. They executed everything to a tee. Monica is dependable, empathetic, efficient and a joy to work with. If we ever do another large scale celebration, we will be sure to reach out to Monica again. Highly recommend!”

She sent me a questionnaire and made sure to lock in my pricing before she increased for the year. Did I mention, she an absolute gem! So sweet and kind, all of my girls loved her and so do I! I also knew she was meant to be my makeup artist because she’s originally a Canadian too! She did exactly what we wanted and does it so well. We all looked flawless! I even had a couple things from my trial I wanted to change and she did it perfectly and with ease. She gave us each a little touch up kit to go. I loved working with Julia and hands down would again in the future for any special events! You’re amazing Julia and phenomenal at what you do!”

I’m Julia - people always ask me how long I’ve been a photographer for and the cliché (but true) answer is for forever. I’ve walked through many alleys that led me to photographing weddings. I worked for the Field Museum photographing meteorites during my college years in Chicago, then worked as a freelancer in the automotive industry when I moved back to Michigan, and worked in a studio photographing everything from seniors to pets. It wasn’t until 5 years ago I decided I loved photographing weddings and couples. I feel like they’re all connected somehow. I'm lucky I found my niche and even luckier that I got to run with it.

To future brides & grooms reading our review: If you are going to do anything right for your wedding day (besides marrying your best friend), hire Julia as your wedding photographer!!! We can not stress enough how much Julia impacted our wedding day. First, she has your back. She helped us keep calm and keep our timeline on track. Julia had a great sense of reading the room. She was by our side when we needed her. Second, we had a BLAST! Julia kept our energy UP (she's a Leo, if you know you know). She had both of us laughing, smiling, and overall happy. Even our bridal party and family LOVED Julia's professionalism and how she conducts group photos. My bridesmaids were obsessed with her and plan on using her in the future. She's seriously that good. Third, her photography style was exactly what we needed. She is super knowledgeable about poses, lighting, background, etc. She was honest and explained why she had us do certain pictures. She took into account any preferences we had (standing on the left side rather than the right, mobility concerns, etc). Also, be ready to get creative! Overall, Julia is the best wedding photographer we could've asked for and so happy she got to capture our wedding day!
