My fiancé and I were looking for a rustic wedding venue, not a ballroom, preferably a venue with space to be outside (weather permitting). We visited a few options in the Philly area and fell in love with the John James Audubon Center! The space offers SO many options for an outdoor or indoor ceremony. They host receptions in the pavilion which is open with huge windows and firepits outside! The site is beautiful, and everyone we’ve worked with has been immensely helpful! After officially booking for our October 2024 wedding, we planned to visit with our parents. What was originally intended to be a quick stroll around the grounds turned into an impromptu tour with the venue manage. She answered all of our parents' questions and even brought out photo books of previous weddings for us to flip through together. With the wedding right around the corner now, we could not be more thrilled with our decision and can't wait to be there next month to celebrate our big day!

Mark and Karlen have been restoring the farm for 19 years, one thing has been maintained as much as possible in its original form, the barn. The historic late 1800’s bank barn has many of the original board siding, only to be replaced in-like when needed. It boasts a very large 4 bay layout with the original chestnut flooring. The board siding allows the light to dance off the beautiful wood floors. It is a privilege for Mark and Karlen to invite you into their treasured barn and grounds.

The staff at the Granary went above and beyond to make sure things went smoothly. We actually ended up needing to move our ceremony to a different area of the Granary hours before we were to start due to weather which caused us (bride and groom) to panic slightly but the staff went above and beyond to get it figured out and set up and it ended up phenomenal and none of the guests even knew. Everyone complimented us on how beautiful everything was and how smooth the transition went! The Thomas family jumped in to help wherever it was needed. The entire property is beautiful and there are so many different options for pictures! Would highly recommend to anyone!

The Lodges at Gettysburg was the perfect location for our special day. From the moment we booked with them, Beth was in constant contact with us to make sure all of the details of our day were achieved. The chef made delicious food that all of our guests raved about. The lodging onsite was also convenient, it provided the guests easy access to the venue and the groom was able to get ready with his groomsmen in their own lodge. The backdrop for the ceremony was gorgeous, and the reception hall was perfectly laid out for all of the events. Even when our schedule got thrown off track, Beth and her staff were able to adjust to relieve our stress and keep guests happy. All in all, we could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding day.

I can’t say enough about how fantastic of a wedding we had at the Carlisle Pines. Tracey and Deb and the staff were wonderful to work with and helped us not only through our special evening but were there to work with us through payments, planning and organizing. They were patient with us and some of the best most honest people to work with. The venue is in a great secluded location with ample parking. There was plenty of space at the location for our party of 100 and could easily accommodate more. All throughout the night we received so many compliments of how nice the venue was. We can’t recommend this place enough for a wedding or even a corporate event or party. The photos don’t do the place justice for how nice it is. Thank you for everything!

Zigbone Farm was the spiritual heart of our wedding. As soon as we booked this venue, everything flowed from there. Schedule, design and theme, decisions about other vendors and guest list — everything else became easier because this venue provided such a gorgeously strong anchor point in the middle of our special celebration. What more can you ask for? Every single vendor commented on the uncommon beauty and peace of this venue. We loved having our welcome dinner here on Friday night and having a local vendor make pizza in the cob oven. On Saturday when it rained, we didn’t have to worry because we knew the lodge house would beautifully accommodate our guests for cocktail hour and that the pavilion and event hall would be fine if the rain didn’t stop (it did, and we got a double rainbow!). On Sunday, we hosted a beautiful farewell breakfast. It was so wonderful to be able to have so many friends stay on site with us, and to have some space from them in the bridal suite. Not having to leave the property once during the entire weekend was such a blessing and kept things from feeling too busy or crazy. Marijke was our main contact and she was so quick to respond to any questions we had and really fun to interact with. She clearly loves this place and has a deep enthusiasm for the couples who celebrate there. Our guests who stayed on site felt so spoiled and kept remarking on how relaxed they felt, that it felt like a true retreat for them even amid a busy schedule of events. We really hope to return to Zigbone for a reunion one day, what a special sacred place. I cannot recommend it enough to any couple marrying. Especially as a queer couple, we felt deeply affirmed, safe and celebrated here. Thank you Marijke and Dena!!

Caboose Farm is a magical dream! We wanted a wedding venue that allowed some of our guests to stay on site, allowed us to host both the wedding and reception as well as a welcome dinner for all of our guests on Friday. We almost gave up on that dream until we visited Caboose Farm on a cold day in November and knew it would be perfect! Flash forward to September and it was a gorgeous property full of flowers!! Our guests were blown away by the houses, the glade where we decided to have the ceremony, the event barn where we had a BBQ Friday and cocktail hour Saturday, and our tented reception overlooking the amazing property. We worked with Colby and our wedding planners the Otherside Creatives to sort out the many aspects of our wedding weekend and everything was perfect. We had a roaring fire both nights, beautifully crafted cocktails, and a golf cart always at the ready to help some of our unsteady guests. We cannot recommend Caboose Farm and their team enough! Truly the best weekend of our lives!

From our first meeting with Kate at Hazelwood, it was obvious that this was her passion and making our day everything we dreamed of was the goal. Venue is extremely well maintained and welcoming to all couples. Getting ready areas are the same (important for two brides) and hair/makeup teams raved about their spaces. Everything is onsite and easy to access. Never had to worry about set up and comes with Blake Events coordinator. All I had to say was "ask Deb" and she had it taken care of.

We were a little late in finding a venue for our wedding but so happy we found a late fall opening with Strock Enterprises on their beautiful farm in Mechanicsburg. Kurt Strock and his team made the process super easy and walked us through all of our questions. Their option for having us provide some of our table top decorations while using some of their decorations helped the budget along. The food was amazing and Kurt's Dad (original Farm owner/operator) is superb at his barbeques - we had a full pig roast and barbeque steak). Would highly recommend.

I honestly can't say enough amazing things about The Antrim 1844 Hotel! We had the most incredible wedding experience here, and I'm so grateful we found this gem. We actually heard about Antrim from a coworker whose family had their wedding there last spring. It wasn't even on our radar before that, but now I can't imagine our wedding taking place anywhere else! During our planning process, we got to see so many different weddings they were hosting, and I was blown away by their unique ability to make everything from small intimate gatherings to expansive celebrations not just work, but work beautifully! They really know how to adapt to each couple's vision. Working with Jill was such a joy! She made the entire planning process feel effortless and actually fun. She was so flexible with all our changes and took the time to walk us through backup plans for weather, which gave us such peace of mind knowing we were covered no matter what. We got lucky with lovely weather and got married in their rose garden, and oh my goodness - it was so breathtakingly gorgeous that we barely needed to add any decorations! The natural beauty spoke for itself and created the most romantic, dreamy backdrop for our vows. Having so many family members and friends traveling to join us, the wedding weekend stay option was a game-changer! The complimentary breakfast for overnight guests was such a thoughtful touch - it meant everyone could wake up together and start each day without any stress about finding food. It really made the whole wedding weekend feel like one big family celebration. The bridal suite in the main mansion was absolutely perfect for getting ready! There was space for our entire wedding party plus my mom and friends to get ready together, and it provided the most beautiful backdrop for photos. We got so many stunning getting-ready shots in that gorgeous space! The food was absolutely delicious - both during our tasting and on the big day! Our guests are still raving about it. The team worked so seamlessly with all our other vendors too, making sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. We were thrilled about the veterans discount, which let us add some extra special touches like a dessert bar, upgraded appetizers, and shade canopies for the ceremony. They made it so easy to customize everything within our budget. Every single guest has told us what an amazing time they had, and we're already excited to come back for anniversaries! We've heard their holiday decorations are absolutely spectacular, so we're definitely planning a winter visit. Ostertag Vistas was the best choice for us. We are so grateful for Donna, the venue owner and her staff for a day we will never forget. The views were amazing, everywhere. The Barn was just what we were looking for, all of our friends and family loved it. We cannot say enough positive things about our experience. Donna was very professional, detail oriented, and super to work with. She gave us exactly what we asked for and everything we didn't know we needed. Terry, our Ostertag Wedding Coordinator, made perfect recommendations based on who we are, and filled in with so many details we didn't even know to ask about. The staff as well were extremely friendly and easy to work with from the Bartender to the Parking Attendants and especially the Wait Staff. After our wedding, our families and guests could not say enough good things about our wedding day at Ostertag. We had 120 guests and a wedding party of 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen. We had our ceremony at Fernwood, surrounded by gorgeous trees and a storybook brook, it was like a fairytale! We rented their arbor, and barn doors for the ceremony, perfect for making this space a magical dream come true. Our cocktail hour was on the Patio and our guests could also go into the Stable making this hour very spacious and inviting. When it was time for our reception, the staff escorted our guest to the main barn and helped our elderly grandparents with the escorted golf cart. The golf cart was also used to help our Grandparents get to the ceremony site and back to the cocktail hour, it was wonderful not to worry about how we would help them around that day. The main dining room in the Barn was setup by the Ostertag staff and when we entered, we were in ahh, everything looked amazing and just perfect. I will never forget our first dance. Our sweetheart table was setup in front of the fireplace, it was so intimate and just perfect! We provided the decor along with some Ostertag rentals, Terry and her staff placed it all together for the perfect setting. After dinner service, the staff moved our wedding cake to the middle of the dance floor for our formal cake cutting, they then sliced and served our cake to the guests as we danced the night away. The staff provided a perfect Coffee Station with Tea and Hot Chocolate for our guests to enjoy as well. Everything flowed well and as planned, and guests were easily able to move around and find everything. Again, I cannot say enough about how wonderful this venue was. The day of our wedding, I did not feel stressed or worried about any details coming together because I knew everything was prepared and being taken care of by Donna, Terry, and their capable staff. They gave us our dream day that my husband and I will never forget and will treasure forever.

If you are looking for an outdoor / garden wedding venue, I highly recommend Prosperity Mansion & Farm. It offers stunning scenery and affordable prices that will fit your budget. There is a charming, vintage bridal cottage and a mancave that brides and grooms can use and enjoy while getting ready separately for the day. I especially love the ceremony area; there are these gorgeous Egyptian doors the bride walks through to walk down the aisle. These types of doors are rare for an outdoor space. The tent for the reception is beautiful and has a unique brick patio area. But I think my favorite part about this venue is all the different little areas on the property, including the gaming area and a bird sanctuary that are so unique. There is a formal garden, a game area, a swing, and even a firepit for making smores. There are just so many places to take beautiful pictures, which I think is important to capture on such an important day. You can really get so much on your wedding day for such reasonable prices. Finally, Debbie the owner, really works with you in many ways.

Finding this venue felt like discovering a hidden gem. 9030 Rockland Estates is tucked away in the most peaceful, picturesque spot — it truly felt like a dream once we found it through lots of searching online. When we booked in 2023, the venue was still fairly new, but after our first walk-through, we instantly fell in love. The ceremony site was breathtaking, and even though the deck and a few other spaces were still being developed at the time, we could already see the incredible potential. Over nearly two years of planning, I had the absolute pleasure of working with Amanda (the owner) and later Kaitlyn, the event coordinator. Both of them were amazing — incredibly responsive, warm, and supportive. Amanda especially went above and beyond, answering every question (no matter how small) with patience and enthusiasm. Her joyful spirit shines through in everything she does. As a former bride herself, she truly understands what couples need and has built that perspective into her venue experience. One of the best things about 9030 is the flexibility it offers. You get access to the property from Thursday through Sunday, which makes all the difference — especially for DIY brides or anyone without a big setup crew. Having time for rehearsal, setup, and cleanup without feeling rushed was a huge blessing. Amanda also later opened the on-site house for couples, families, and wedding parties to stay in, which made our weekend so much easier and more enjoyable. Being able to get ready right there, change after the ceremony, and simply relax without worrying about transportation was incredible. The venue itself has everything a couple could want — beautiful indoor bathrooms, a spacious bridal suite, a groom’s suite, and stunning natural backdrops everywhere you look. Amanda keeps improving and adding thoughtful touches all the time. She allows couples to bring their own vendors and alcohol (with a licensed bartender), which gave us so much flexibility to personalize our day. About 10 days before the wedding, Amanda informed us that the venue could no longer do fireworks in-house, but she quickly helped us find a licensed vendor and handled all the logistics. The show turned out to be spectacular — truly the best way to end a magical night. It rained on our wedding day, which initially broke my heart since I had dreamed of that outdoor ceremony site from the moment I saw it. But Amanda and her team transformed the tent space so beautifully that I ended up loving it even more. The way the florals, colors, and lighting came together created the most romantic atmosphere imaginable. Everyone is still raving about how gorgeous it was! Yes, there were minor hiccups — mostly due to me underestimating how the rain plan would affect seating with our large bridal party — but overall, everything was seamless and stunning. Amanda’s flexibility, kindness, and understanding made all the difference. If I could do it all over again (which I won’t, because I married my forever!), I’d 110% book 9030 Rockland Estates again — maybe just earlier in September to skip the rain! This venue, and the people behind it, made our wedding everything we dreamed of and more. We feel so lucky and grateful to have celebrated such a special day in such a beautiful place.

Bowling Brook Mansion is incredible! This is a truly special venue. We offer our strongest possible recommendation, and our earnest thanks, to Debbie and her staff for making our wedding day more beautiful than we had ever imagined. The venue itself is gorgeous. The mansion is colorful and picturesque; the indoors are classy but not cluttered; the grounds are sprawling and luscious. We held our ceremony in a gorgeous, decorated, wooded grove, and took photos throughout the surrounding farmlands. We were very happy with the amount of space our guests had available to roam and mingle inside and outside the mansion. The ballroom was spacious, and with a cool summer evening, we were able to open an outdoor patio/tent area for guests to socialize. Also, when the evening wound down, we went to the roofdeck with close family and friends for a late afterparty under the stars—a gorgeous night in the countryside! Debbie and her staff are amazing. We can’t say enough about Debbie herself. She treated us like a member of her family, not just another customer. She was also easy to reach and easy to talk to throughout the planning process. She worked to understand our needs and sincerely respected our vision for our wedding, making several accommodations for our plans—such as permitting us to select off-list vendors, working with our family’s arrival time needs, and allowing us to stay in the honeymoon suite before the wedding. On our wedding day, she stayed on top of managing the vendors so that we could focus on enjoying ourselves. We owe a special thanks to Debbie’s staff for helping out in the aftermath of a hurricane. During the week before our wedding, the remnants of a tropical storm swept through Maryland. We were very worried that we would have to commit to an indoor ceremony, but the storm cleared late on Friday night, and Saturday was temperate and picturesque.
