The mansion has been fully restored with elegant finishes while maintaining the original historic detail and charm. Beautiful Venue & Satisfactory
The communication from the Bowling Brook Mansion team was clear when booking but closer to the wedding communication was not consistent, which made planning our wedding frustrating at times for us and my wedding coordinator . When guests arrived on the day, we were surprised to find that the venue space was a lot smaller than we expected for hosting 70-80 guests. While the mansion itself is beautiful, the layout felt cramped. Overall, we felt the value matched the cost of renting this venue for our wedding.

Regarding your note on communication, your event manager provided her personal cell number early in the planning process, and there is a thorough text message history between you dating from November 2022 through the day after your event on March 31, 2024. In addition to our email system, we offer direct contact like this to ensure our couples feel supported throughout—so we're unsure where a lapse in communication may have occurred. As for the venue size, you visited the property multiple times, including a final walkthrough with your planner just a month prior to the event. At no point were any concerns raised about space, and no adjustments were requested to the layout within our 14,000 square feet of reception space. Our venue comfortably accommodates up to 200 guests, so your guest count of 80 was well within capacity. At Bowling Brook, our goal is always to provide a smooth, memorable, and meaningful experience for every couple. We're glad to hear you felt the value met your expectations, and we wish you and your husband continued happiness as you approach your two-year anniversary!The best venue we could ever ask for!
Bowling Brook Mansion is incredible! This is a truly special venue. We offer our strongest possible recommendation, and our earnest thanks, to Debbie and her staff for making our wedding day more beautiful than we had ever imagined. The venue itself is gorgeous. The mansion is colorful and picturesque; the indoors are classy but not cluttered; the grounds are sprawling and luscious. We held our ceremony in a gorgeous, decorated, wooded grove, and took photos throughout the surrounding farmlands. We were very happy with the amount of space our guests had available to roam and mingle inside and outside the mansion. The ballroom was spacious, and with a cool summer evening, we were able to open an outdoor patio/tent area for guests to socialize. Also, when the evening wound down, we went to the roofdeck with close family and friends for a late afterparty under the stars—a gorgeous night in the countryside! Debbie and her staff are amazing. We can’t say enough about Debbie herself. She treated us like a member of her family, not just another customer. She was also easy to reach and easy to talk to throughout the planning process. She worked to understand our needs and sincerely respected our vision for our wedding, making several accommodations for our plans—such as permitting us to select off-list vendors, working with our family’s arrival time needs, and allowing us to stay in the honeymoon suite before the wedding. On our wedding day, she stayed on top of managing the vendors so that we could focus on enjoying ourselves. We owe a special thanks to Debbie’s staff for helping out in the aftermath of a hurricane. During the week before our wedding, the remnants of a tropical storm swept through Maryland. We were very worried that we would have to commit to an indoor ceremony, but the storm cleared late on Friday night, and Saturday was temperate and picturesque. Debbie and her staff arrived early Saturday morning and worked very hard to get the mansion and the grounds ready. Their hard work made our wedding day everything we wanted it to be. Bowling Brook Mansion was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we reached out, the staff was incredibly attentive, helpful, and easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. They were there to answer any questions we had and ensured the event ran smoothly on the big day.
