We zoom chatted with him before booking him, and we loved his vibe immediately and knew we would be comfortable in his presence to fully express all of the romantic, intimate, and silly parts of our relationship. He did a fantastic job with the details, including flagging 5 days in advance that our elopement date would be rained out, so that we were able to immediately reschedule for 2 days later. He expertly laid out the train of my dress, helped me fix my hair, etc. and also touched up the photos afterwards to fix little things. He did a great job guiding us with suggested poses while also capturing our spontaneous candid moments. It was a very fun and relaxing photography session, and the photos turned out amazing -- perfect lighting, composition, etc. 10/10 would recommend him to all couples!”

“Ed was so helpful and easy to work with our entire wedding process, which was a breath of fresh air in a very busy season! My friend had him at her wedding a few years prior and highly recommended him, and I’m so glad we took her suggestion! Ed has a great DJ website where you can add all the songs you like, as well as which songs you don’t want to hear (which is very important for me). He then creates amazing mixes with the songs and knows how to keep the party going. I was really happy he was able to find our first dance song, which is from the 1940s and not easy to stream from just anywhere (thank you!!!). Our dance floor felt tailored to us, and the lights were so fun. He also did our introductions and gave the guests instructions when needed. If you’re on the fence about getting a DJ, book Edward Zaruba—he made our reception FUN!”

I did make a few changes however, I did love my look and the changes were very minor. On the day of the wedding both Liseth and Andy were on time and they did an awesome job on everyone’s hair and makeup. We met with her several times leading up to the event, and she really took the time to get to know what we wanted. She offered great suggestions and helped create an experience that felt completely personalized, right down to the furniture layout. The space itself is absolutely beautiful, but Bernice is what makes it special. She’s the kind of person who instantly feels like a friend. She thought through every detail — even providing a welcome packet with everything we needed to know and share with guests. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how nice everything was. The pricing is very reasonable, and there’s a parking garage just steps away, which made it super convenient for everyone. If you want a gorgeous venue and a truly worry-free planning experience, Collective Spaces is the place. Bernice made it all feel effortless, and we are so grateful!”

He knows exactly what he's doing and he is the reason we felt so calm heading into our wedding day. He got to know us, played exactly what we asked, took requests and weaved them into the night with ease. Our dance floor was packed our entire wedding! I wouldn't have wanted to work with anyone else for our wedding day. My husband and I continue to get compliments about our wedding in Aril and our DJ/music is one of the main ones we get.
