He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

From the very beginning, Scott was extremely helpful and responsive, and always providing us with great ideas, suggestions, and guidance to make our day special. We had a duo playing for our ceremony and during the cocktail hour and then we had a small 3 person band playing for our reception. And it was the perfect amount of people. We had spoken to some other bands and they all kept saying we need some big band for the reception, but since we were having less than 100 people at the wedding, we didn’t think it made sense to have like a 10 person band, it just seemed like it would overwhelm the whole wedding. And we knew we wanted a band component since my father plays guitar and I had a feeling would want to play a song at some point. Then we spoke with Scott, he seemed to understand our vision of having a small band. He loved the idea of my father playing a song, and made suggestions on when was the perfect time for him to play, and even laughed along with our idea of playing “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire, over and over again, since we were getting married on “the 21st night of September” (we did not do this)! The day of the band was amazing! They even took the time to learn our first dance song, which was a fairly unknown track, and played it beautifully, and surprised us with playing it. Since we thought it was just going to be a recorded version of the song. That was very special to us! And they were more than happy to let my dad play his song to us. Overall, the band's performance was lively and engaging, and they kept our guests dancing all night long. We couldn't have asked for a better band to help make our wedding celebration so memorable, and couldn’t have done it with Scott!”

During the reception, we gave him a playlist, and he struck the perfect balance between sticking to our choices and reading the crowd to keep everyone dancing. One highlight was when Joey G handed the microphone to people in the crowd, turning our reception into an impromptu karaoke party. It was a blast! The audio for our ceremony and speeches worked without a hitch (he also helped to professionally feed our ceremony audio/music into our livestream setup), Lucas knew exactly the right moments to take cues for music, and when the dance party began, he played great music that totally matched our vibe and tastes, and as promised, he kept the dance floor full all night (no small feat, especially because we downsized our wedding to 60 guests). In addition to being an excellent DJ, he's also a great guy to be around, and on your wedding day, it's really nice to feel like you are surrounded by people you want to spend time with. I first heard Gerald play at a friends rehearsal dinner (sadly after I already hired my wedding band), and knew immediately I needed to hire him for my rehearsal/ wedding welcome drinks. Gerald immediately got the vibe of the night and was truly just smashing hit after hit and created the best ambiance and energy. The vibes were seriously immaculate thanks to him. I wish I could go back in time and hire him for my wedding night- I kid you not- and I will regret that I didn’t forever. Not only is he an awesome musician, but Gerald is truly the nicest man you’ll ever meet. Because I’m a last minute person, I think I asked Gerald maybe a week or so before the event to learn a special song for me, and without any issues or hesitation, he did and he killed it. He was even happy and eager to do so. He also took song requests while he was playing and gosh, he really just made the night so wonderful and so special. If I could give him 100000 stars I would. This guy will make any night a great one. Don’t think, just hire him.”

We had the biggest mess with our Tent company and the team at B_entertained was already our DJ and come to find out they are also a rental company as well. Apparently the original tent company overbooked and they were able to bring a tent, dance floor and all the tables and chairs as well as the linens and napkins. Then the DJ did an amazing job! He was funny and really knew what to play when since we had such a small request list! Everything amazing! Hire them now!”

“Mike was a phenomenal DJ! He made our wedding reception even better. We had many zoom calls and emails and he asked us so many different types of questions. Little did we know he was creating our story and he shared it with everyone at our wedding. While he was telling our story, it was as if Tony or I were telling it. “Living Jade was the best decision we made for our wedding vendors. They played at our engagement party in Santa Barbara and our actual wedding in San Francisco. Steve encountered an issue with a band member. The singer got sick the day before the wedding, but he found a replacement that was outstanding. His network of musicians allowed him to resolve a major issue. My husband and I were happy that our contract was respected. On top of that, the energy of the band was amazing on stage.
