My Grandmother was a powerful woman, raising two babies after having been recently widowed, while also pioneering the farm and putting herself through law school. It is after her that I named my business Mountain Mama Florals. My hobbies are painting, sawing and printing, and my biggest passion are flower designs and expressions. I gained experience and education working for florist and event companies in the area for couple of years and fell in love with working on tying dreams, sentiments and spaces with flowers, into a perfect personal and intimate creation.

“I was about to propose to my girlfriend. I was so nervous about planning everything into the smallest details. I found Jelena to make me a bouquet of 100 roses. Not only that she made the best bouquet that I had ever seen, but she went way further by helping me with some new ideas of what to do, and she even managed to deliver the bouquet to the restaurant in the middle of the dinner without anyone noticing, so I was able to pick it up as soon as my girlfriend said “Yes!”  I'm never going to forget what Jelena did for me in those days and I’m never going to a different florist for any future occasions! “OMG! I absolutely love Katy. From the initial appointment to determine what our vision was for the wedding and reception decor, I felt very at ease with Katy. Katy took great care to try and learn what my vision was for the wedding and how to use her expertise to create what I wanted. I liked that - and this enabled us to truly create a custom one of a kind look for our big day. Katy was kind, accommodating and responsive to emails, texts and phone calls. I would bounce things off of Katy and without hesitation, she would first clarify what my vision was, and then add her input based on her expert eye for detail, color coordination, etc. On the day of my wedding, I broke down into tears at the beautiful, dreamy atmosphere that Katy and her team had created for my spouse and I. It was literally everything thing I had dreamed of; it had the glitz, glamour, bling, sparkle, romance and more than I wanted. Katy even added touches here and there that she felt were needed to add more beauty to the venue. She exercised her creative rights. My guests could not and have not stopped talking about the beauty of it all. Additionally, a few days before the wedding, I was not pleased with a mock up of my bouquet (provided by another vendor) - and Katy to the rescue! Within about 3-4 business days, Katy and her staff PERSONALLY delivered the most beautiful, sparkling bouquet that I have ever seen (along with a jr. bouquet and corsages). She made it her business to make me happy. I am truly sad that I won't be talking to Katy as much any more since the wedding is now over. Katy delivered on ALLLLLLL levels and I can't say enough about her. Thank you soo much Katy. You will forever be a better part of our memories. If you have the pleasure to work with Katy, you will not be disappointed, I promise you. I really felt that Katy put her heart into this....and the results show it. ”
