The property features an 18th-century English Barn with rare gunstock timber framing, a charming 19th-century Dairy Barn, and open pastures surrounded by stone walls and forest. Constructed soon after the Great Fire of 1902, The United Bank Building was built to house two banks whose previous buildings had been destroyed, New Milford Savings Bank and the New Milford First National Bank. The two banks immediately organized to rebuild, quickly agreeing in principal to build a joint facility on the site of the New England House, a locally well known tavern and inn located at the corner of Bank and Main Street. For most of its life, the building had been used in some form of a bank, but had been largely under-used in recent decades, and had fallen into disrepair. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and taken over by Village Green Investments in 2015. After 9 months of renovations, the building became 19Main. Throughout renovations, we strived for modern amenities with historic elegance; three vaults remain from the building’s former bank days.

Ventfort Hall is an imposing Jacobean Revival-style mansion built in 1893 for Sarah Morgan, the sister of JP Morgan. Our space, while very glamorous, is still a work in progress. As such, we only rent the renovated first floor and grounds of the mansion for private events.

Stonover Farm is a small luxury inn located in the beautiful Berkshires, home to outstanding natural scenery, picturesque New England towns and a hub of cultural activity. The Barn, Barn Gallery & Annex and the surrounding grounds provide a beautiful space for the creation of your own special wedding. Our historic 1890's barn provides the perfect architectural background to create a magical evening for you and your guests. Lean in to the pastoral setting with simple wildflowers and candlelight or create a space of light, flowers and decor that rivals any setting. Akindale is not a typical wedding venue; but it is an exceptional place for your wedding. Our core mission is to rescue and care for retired Thoroughbred racehorses and we have over 120 on site. We are working farm, not a manufactured showplace. Therein lies our natural beauty. We welcome all types of ceremonies, and respect individual creativity. As a nonprofit, we are able to fund our work with the horses through offering our spaces and as such, your location fee will be completely tax-deductible.
