They had extra decorations that we used at my reception and I forgot to buy table numbers and they had them! They went out and even bought some extra decorations and made me a bouquet for my bouquet toss. If you are thinking about hiring them I would highly recommend it and you will not regret it! “I honestly thought the vision of an outdoor winter wedding was going to continue to just be a dream. So many people told us we were crazy and “good luck” because why on earth would we get married outside in the cold. It wasn’t until I brought this idea up to the Holly vault, and they immediately said “let’s do it!” The staff at this venue were out there until minutes before the ceremony blowing off snow from the chairs, putting salt down, and cranking the heat lamps. “I was about 4 months out from my wedding date when I came to terms that I needed help - as any bride who thought they could do it all on their own lol. I was struggling finding my last two vendors - draping & aisle runner. I knew on the day of the wedding I simply just could not be everywhere at once and needed extra hands. Luckily I came across Monica on Zola and thank God I did. I mainly reached out to her to assist with the rehearsal and day of coordinating but she went above and beyond that. In addition to helping secure my last two vendors, Monica made sure I stayed on top of everything and gave suggestions on things I didn’t even think of in regard to smaller details and flow of events. She was readily available if ever I needed her opinion or guidance on anything…. Or if I needed to just vent and rant lol. I literally did not have to worry about a thing the day of the wedding because of Monica and her assistant. They executed everything to a tee. Monica is dependable, empathetic, efficient and a joy to work with. If we ever do another large scale celebration, we will be sure to reach out to Monica again. Highly recommend!”

I’m Julia - people always ask me how long I’ve been a photographer for and the cliché (but true) answer is for forever. I’ve walked through many alleys that led me to photographing weddings. I worked for the Field Museum photographing meteorites during my college years in Chicago, then worked as a freelancer in the automotive industry when I moved back to Michigan, and worked in a studio photographing everything from seniors to pets. It wasn’t until 5 years ago I decided I loved photographing weddings and couples. I feel like they’re all connected somehow. I'm lucky I found my niche and even luckier that I got to run with it.

We can not stress enough how much Julia impacted our wedding day. First, she has your back. She helped us keep calm and keep our timeline on track. Julia had a great sense of reading the room. She was by our side when we needed her. Second, we had a BLAST! Julia kept our energy UP (she's a Leo, if you know you know). She had both of us laughing, smiling, and overall happy. Even our bridal party and family LOVED Julia's professionalism and how she conducts group photos. My bridesmaids were obsessed with her and plan on using her in the future. She's seriously that good. Third, her photography style was exactly what we needed. She is super knowledgeable about poses, lighting, background, etc. She was honest and explained why she had us do certain pictures. She took into account any preferences we had (standing on the left side rather than the right, mobility concerns, etc). Also, be ready to get creative!
