About Iron & Ivy Films

Iron & Ivy Films

Owner & Filmmaker

A storyteller at heart, I believe there is great power in pairing intentional narrative with elevated cinematography. With story at the heart of my artistry, I strive to create films that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but that also capture the very essence of the love shared between you and your partner.

I firmly believe that no wedding film should be "one size fits all". Every couple is different and has a very unique story to tell. I focus on capturing raw-emotion and crafting a visual art piece that truly conveys the unique relationship you share with your partner. I have a very story-driven approach to filming a wedding day and I let your unique story lead the way in which I craft your final film. All couples are welcome here regardless of race, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

  • Brandi is the best!!

We LOVED working with Brandi for our wedding!! She came highly recommended by our wedding planner and after working with her I can certainly understand why. From the first call I had with her, I knew she would fit right in with the team of vendors we were building for our big day. It was really important to us that all of our vendors be people we felt like we would enjoy spending our day with and she was a perfect fit. Not only was she extremely professional, she was a delight to be around and captured every moment and detail with so much joy. Our wedding happened to be on her birthday and I think it is a great testament to how much she cares for her clients that she chose to spend her day serving us! Her kindness didn't end after our reception, either. She was so responsive throughout the entire process and managed to deliver all of our videos and documentaries to us well in advance of her estimated delivery timelines! She captured our day so beautifully. We will treasure our videos for the rest of our lives! I truly cannot recommend Brandi enough!!

  • Captured Our Love Story

From the moment our wedding day began, our videographer, Brandi Hall of Iron & Ivy, wasn’t just behind the camera—she was beside us every step of the way, gently guiding the lens. We found her through our wedding venue's (Pippin Hill) glowing recommendation, and from our first conversation, I understood why. Her work didn’t just document an unforgettable wedding day; it told our love story—woven through the laughter of our friends, the tears of our family, and the natural intimate moments between my husband and I. Every frame felt intentional. But beyond the breathtaking footage, what meant the most was how deeply Brandi saw me — not just as a bride, but as someone who had dreamed about my wedding day for a long time, and she wanted to get our video just right. It was important to Brandi that my vision came to life. Despite using a wedding planner, she recognized that I was the client, and was one of our few vendors that truly prioritized my partner and I’s voice, ideas, and our love story. This was so meaningful and important to us. Because of her, we now have a film that reflects us in the most beautiful, authentic way. I will forever cherish not only the memories she captured, but also the warmth, care, and talent she brought with her every step of the way. Thank you, Brandi.

After many consults with other local videographers, I chose Brandi. The communication was fine; however, when it came to my videos, I was very disappointed and at times so upset that I couldn’t even watch them. I had a musician play at cocktail hour, during my walk down the aisle, and during our wedding dance. I have NO videos (with his voice singing these songs) that he learned specifically for our wedding. When I asked if she had any videos of him playing the songs, she said it was a copyright issue. I can certainly understand, but she never explained that to me. Because of this, I have ZERO videos of these very special moments. Secondly, my video had everyone who spoke at my wedding on the video, but my speech, NOT even a two second statement during the toast. When I brought this to her attention, she said, I can add in some parts. She added almost my whole speech. I asked if she could remove a part I didn’t like, she seemed bothered I was asking her to make another edit. Overall, it took a very long time to get our videos (she was working on her website redesign at the tim, which I guess was more important). She never featured any of our films on her social media which hurt. I guess she saves that for very expensive, and elaborate weddings. Nevertheless, our videos were decent, but I just can't get over some of the incidents with her. Even to this day, I have a hard time watching them in general. I honestly don’t recommend Brandi.

Hi Jenny, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It was an honor to film your wedding in September of 2023. I’m truly disappointed to hear that your overall experience was negative, especially since your husband’s initial response via email was that your video was “gorgeous”, I delivered your package significantly early, worked hard to complete your requested revisions quickly, delivered a final film that was much longer than what was included in your collection, and even got on a call with you to clear up any lingering misunderstandings — it seemed when we ended that call we were on the same page and you were happy with your experience, only to receive this review from you nearly 1.5 years later. With that being said, I would like to clarify a few important details for transparency’s sake: Music: Your request was for me to edit part of your film to your cocktail musician’s performance of “Tiny Dancer”. I cannot legally edit to “Tiny Dancer” or any rendition of it, due to copyright laws outside of my control. I strive to be fully transparent about music use and licensing with my couples, which is why soundtrack policy is outlined in both your contract and in your questionnaire. However, you can in fact hear him singing in your ceremony and first dance videos in your raw footage library. I also captured shots of him at cocktail hour, which are included in both your film and the raw footage. Speeches: I initially included your husband’s portion of your joint speech in the main film, and once you requested your portion be added, I happily incorporated it. Turnaround time: The turnaround time for your film was well within the contractual deadline — in fact, your film was delivered significantly early. I understand it may have felt like a long wait in anticipation, but it was certainly well within contractual delivery. It is true that my website was being redesigned in 2023, but I hired a design team to handle the rebrand, specifically so that I could focus solely on my couples and their weddings. I’m proud to say that I delivered all of my films ahead of schedule during the website redesign. Social media: I genuinely value every wedding I’m honored to capture, regardless of budget or aesthetic. Like most creatives, I don’t share every event online for a variety of reasons — workload, personal choice, NDAs, etc. It’s never a reflection of the couple or the importance of their day. I was more than happy to make requested revisions to ensure you loved your film. I was committed to making sure your memories were preserved with care and heart. My responses (as evident in our email chain) were enthusiastic and reassuring, and I cleared my schedule to quickly focus on the edits you requested, including the ones not mentioned in your review (i.e., adding in the sound of a horse neighing in the background of the ceremony, a specific shot of the bridal party, etc.). My goal is always to serve each couple with transparency, respect, and excellence. While we may have different perspectives on how things unfolded, I do wish you nothing but happiness in your marriage and every joy in the years to come. Warmly, Brandi

Hiring Brandi as our videographer was one of the best decisions we made! My wedding has come and gone, but I still cherish the video that Brandi created. It is so fun looking back on my wedding day and seeing so many details that I had once forgotten. Hire Brandi, she’s truly a rockstar!
