Conveniently reached by guests from all parts of North Georgia and the suburbs of Atlanta, The Wheeler House encompasses true southern charm with its meaningfully preserved, yet restored grounds and house. Built in 1906 by John. F. Wheeler, owner of the Wheeler Lumber Yard on Main Street in Ball Ground, the house was constructed with Heart Pine tongue and grove floors, walls, ceilings, and wrap-around porches. The Wheeler House is a historic gem that has been given new life by serving as a wedding venue and special event site.

Best wedding venue ever
We just got married at the wheeler house and it was an absolute dream. The vendors and our coordinator Abby were awesome! I wouldn’t change a thing about our day thanks to the wheeler house team!
Absolute best venue!!
I can’t say enough amazing things about The Wheeler House – it was truly the perfect wedding venue, and our experience was absolutely flawless from start to finish. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was special. Not only is the property stunning and full of charm, but the team – especially Kelle – made everything feel so personal and stress-free. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but they went above and beyond to make the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Kelle was an absolute angel! She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our day as special as possible. She exceeded our expectations in every way – from the little details to the big moments, everything was handled with such care and heart. She even surprised me with a sweet, personalized gift that I will cherish forever. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare, and it meant the world to me. The entire staff at The Wheeler House was accommodating, professional, and so easy to work with. I never once felt stressed or unsure about anything – they had everything handled so seamlessly. It allowed me to truly be present and enjoy every moment of the day without worry. If you’re looking for a venue that not only looks amazing but also treats you like family and takes care of you every step of the way, The Wheeler House is it. Absolutely Amazing!
From the moment we first reached out, The Wheeler House was a delight to work with. Their communication was always responsive, clear, and kind, putting our minds at ease throughout the planning process. On the day of, their in-house coordinator Kelle made sure everything ran smoothly and that all the details were perfectly executed. The venue itself was beautiful and full of elegant charm. The quality of their work truly exceeded our expectations and provided an amazing value. We are so grateful to the entire Wheeler House team for helping make our wedding day an absolute dream come true.
Perfect Wedding Venue!
Me and my husband had our wedding at the wheeler house in July 2025. From the start everyone there made the whole process easy to manage and we felt supported from day 1! Emma was such a good coordinator as we got closer to our date and made everything so stress-free. Everyone on site was eager to help and I felt extremely supported throughout the entire planning process. Emma had our wedding day running flawlessly - she took care of things behind the scenes to let us enjoy our day! I couldn’t say enough good things about the Wheeler House and its staff as a whole. Wonderful experience all around!
