Conveniently reached by guests from all parts of North Georgia and the suburbs of Atlanta, The Wheeler House encompasses true southern charm with its meaningfully preserved, yet restored grounds and house. Built in 1906 by John. F. Wheeler, owner of the Wheeler Lumber Yard on Main Street in Ball Ground, the house was constructed with Heart Pine tongue and grove floors, walls, ceilings, and wrap-around porches. The Wheeler House is a historic gem that has been given new life by serving as a wedding venue and special event site.

    We had an absolutely incredible experience with our wedding at this venue!! From the start, our day-of coordinator Kelle was absolutely amazing—she worked with us beginning 60 days out and brought such calm, thoughtful guidance to every part of the process. As someone who can be pretty indecisive, I really appreciated her helpful recommendations, attention to detail, and willingness to answer all of our (many!) questions. She was also so kind and accommodating with our last-minute changes. One of the biggest things we loved was that the venue was all-inclusive—it made planning so much easier knowing that the DJ, food, and cake were all taken care of and included. The venue itself is stunning and full of charm, with so many beautiful spots for photos, and the getting-ready area was spacious and comfortable. I have a severe ant and bee allergy, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure the property was clear of fire ants, which helped me feel safe and relaxed—something I’ve honestly never felt at an outdoor event before. We also rented the Wheeler House cottages for our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and out-of-town guests, and they were perfect—clean, comfortable, and incredibly convenient for starting the day early with hair and makeup. We are beyond grateful for the whole experience!

    We had our wedding on April 30th this year at The Wheeler House and it was an absolute DREAM!!! Everyone was so polite, kind, and responsive from the very beginning. Our coordinator, Ashley, was the best! She was flexible, answered all my questions, and kept me feeling positive and prepared! We also had THW package, which included arriving at the venue at 10am, and included vendors: Events by Dezine as our caterer, Confection Perfection as our cake baker, and The TC Show as our DJ. Each vendor was incredibly perfect and DELIVERED with their services - our guests loved the food and cake, and everyone was dancing all night thanks to our DJ, Brett! I will recommend The Wheeler House over and over again - we're so blessed to have had our special day here in such capable and helping hands!

    The Wheeler House was a perfect wedding venue!! From the minute we toured, we fell in love. It has a perfect mixture of Southern charm & elegance matched with their AMAZING staff and recommended vendors. They did all the heavy lifting in the planning process and on the wedding day. They worked hard to ensure my husband and I were as stress free as possible all throughout the wedding planning process and on the wedding day. Special shoutout to Laiken, our coordinator who was our right hand man in this whole process - she treated us & out families like gold. The Wheeler House is a special place & we are so thankful we had our wedding there - we already miss being in constant contact with their team!!!

    The Wheeler House gave us the wedding of our dreams this spring! We fell in love with the beautiful venue and reasonable price and were so impressed by their communication, attention to detail, and organization throughout the planning process and on the big day. Our coordinator, Laiken, was incredible. She was very responsive, made each decision so easy, and helped the day run smoothly. Any issues that came up throughout the day were quickly resolved by the team and I truly was able to enjoy every bit of the day. We could not recommend the Wheeler House more!
