About this venue
Once a 1980s smog-check center, SmogShoppe is now a 100% solar-powered, private 6,500 square foot indoor/outdoor haven for desert plants, vertical gardens and chic vintage furnishings. The combined interior and exterior areas allow for quintessential California entertaining, making an ideal vintage wedding venue. The generous floor plan can accommodate up to 150-person garden ceremonies, 150-person formal sit down dinners, and 250-person cocktail parties. SmogShoppe is conveniently located in the heart of the Culver City art/design district, immediately off the 10 freeway, just minutes to Santa Monica, LAX, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Downtown Los Angeles.

SmogShoppe’s spacious courtyard area is a peaceful respite and provides a welcome surprise to guests. It’s an oasis within Los Angeles, surrounded by garden walls filled with over 2,000 sq ft of greenery.

Marvimon will make your dreams come true
SmogShoppe and the Marvimon team were the perfect venue and people to help us bring our paebaek and reception vision to life. From scheduling our initial tours to the actual execution of the event, everything was seamless. The Marvimon team were incredibly responsive, communicated all expectations and rules, and were so supportive whenever I had the anticipated wedding panic when things didn't line up perfectly. Guests couldn't stop gushing about how interesting and unique our venue was, and the team really helped us to have the most perfect reception and wedding day. We felt that the price was reasonable and fair, that the facilities were clean and well maintained, and that it reflected who we were as a couple. Couldn't recommend them enough!
Dream venue with a dream team
If you're looking for a unique special venue to say I do, the search stops with the SmogShoppe. We were immediately drawn to the layout of the space with its ideal blend of indoors outdoors and quintessential L.A.-cool vibes. The designated couple's loft provided privacy a welcomed escape throughout our special day. A lush (and generous) living wall makes the perfect backdrop for a ceremony offers many Instagram-able moments your guests (and photographer) will love. The SmogShoppe team is attentive, communicative creative. They'll support your vision to make your wedding extra special!
SmogShoppe is the perfect venue
SmogShoppe is such a stunning venue and we were so happy with it for our wedding. From the gorgeous exterior greenery to the quirky, fun interior design and details, SmogShoppe feels very unique, but also homey and welcoming. The Marvimon team is also excellent - quick to respond, knowledgable and truly dedicated to ensuring your event runs as smoothly and as best as possible. I highly recommend using SmogShoppe (or any of the Marvimon properties) for your next event!
The most amazing venue
SmogShoppe was everything we could have imagined and more. I literally said to my husband after our design meeting that I hate that we would only go to the venue one last time for our big day. Working with Dana was a DREAM, she was so kind, so fun, so on top of it, I just want to be her friend IRL to be honest! The day of, everything flowed so well. Our guests positively loved the space and the vibe of SmogShoppe, we had 75 guests and everyone loved that the space felt so open. It felt very cozy, romantic, and intimate even with all the open space. 20/10 would plan an event at SmogShoppe again and again.
