The Hampshire House is a classic turn-of-the-century mansion on historic Beacon Hill, where generations of Bostonians and their guests have wined, dined, and danced the night away. Hampshire House offers sweeping views of the Boston Public Garden. This five-story Georgian revival townhouse was lavished with Italian marble, carved oak paneling, crystal chandeliers, and tall Palladian windows. Hampshire House opens its doors for lavish private events - the perfect spot for elegant wedding celebrations. Whether you are dreaming of an intimate champagne brunch or an elaborate evening reception, the Hampshire House will help you design a personalized and unforgettable experience that is all your own.

Second Floor
Classic Bostonian elegance.
The Second Lloor Library is the grandest room in our mansion. It is designed with high ceilings, tall windows overlooking Beacon Street and the Boston Public Garden, intricately carved oak paneling with bookshelves, a magnificent working marble fireplace, and a functional baby grand piano. The space allows your guests to experience a true and classic Bostonian venue. This space can accommodate a maximum of 100 guests for a plated meal and up to 150 for a reception style event.

Intimate gatherings with exceptional views
The third floor rooms provide an intimate setting for your event. With a working marble fireplace along with gorgeous views of the Boston Public Garden, the third floor is the perfect spot for your gathering. When the mansion was built, the third floor served as bedrooms for the Thayer family. The Thayer room, belonging to Mrs. Thayer, was chosen for it's views as she was a member of the Boston Horticultural Society.

Our Wedding Was Pure Magic!!
We feel beyond lucky to have chosen Hampshire House to celebrate the most important day of our lives. From the very first photo I saw of the venue, I instantly fell in love.I could immediately envision everyone we love gathered in that warm, elegant space, celebrating together in a way that felt both intimate and timeless. It perfectly captured the spirit of what we dreamed for our wedding: a meaningful gathering with family, friends, and mentors. From the beginning of our planning journey, Victoria was truly exceptional. Her responsiveness was lightning-fast (even when I packed a dozen questions into a single email!), and she was consistently calm, cheerful, and organized through the often chaotic planning process. I’ll never forget how welcomed we felt when we met her in person for the first time at our tasting. Her kindness, professionalism, and flexibility gave me instant peace of mind that everything on the big day would be taken care of—and it was, and more. Victoria went above and beyond to accommodate every one of our needs, no matter how small, and her quiet support meant everything when other parts of the planning felt unpredictable. She took detailed notes, followed through on every ask, and always made me feel like our wedding truly mattered to her. On the wedding day itself, Victoria, Lindsay, and Elissa (apologies if I spelled any names wrong!) were absolute stars. These three incredible women were everywhere—effortlessly managing logistics, adjusting details on the fly, and doing it all with radiant smiles. They handled so many things I could see—setting up our escort card table to look pristine, subtly hiding visual clutter to keep the space beautiful, helping adjust the tone of the pianist’s music to match the mood, even helping us with tech like setting up my phone for the playlist—and I’m sure there were dozens more things they did that we didn’t even notice. That’s the thing about the team at Hampshire House: they care as deeply and attentively as we did. They treated our wedding as something truly meaningful, not just another event on the calendar. Every detail was cared for, not just the obvious ones, but even the ones we didn’t know to think about. Hampshire House made us feel so seen, so supported, and so celebrated. We will remember their kindness, effort, and magic forever:)
Gorgeous and Stress Free Venue
From the moment we first reached out to Hampshire House, their team was incredibly easy to work with. They were knowledgeable and guided us through every step of the planning process. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and our guests raved about the food and attentive staff. Hampshire House truly made our special day stress-free and exceeded all of our expectations! We are so grateful for their professionalism and attention to detail, which ensured our wedding was perfect from start to finish.

We had such a wonderful wedding at the Hampshire House - we can't recommend them enough! Their team was very professional from the initial consultation all the way to our big day (60 guests). Lindsay, our sales & event manager was such a delight to work with and always responsive and helpful with our questions and needs during the planning process. Michele, our day-of manager was such a calm and effective manager and made sure everything flowed seamlessly. The food and service was excellent and the team did such a great job. We had a magical and joyous time and our guests enjoyed themselves very much.
