About this venue

Since Bacchus inception on April 17th, 2003, the bistro has been an integral part of our operations. Expect to be charmed by an aura of accentuated Eurocentric energies from the moment you step inside, either through our friendly staff or an atmosphere bustling with patrons, wine pours & classic to contemporary French dishes. Amid much fanfare, the bistro’s exposed red brick & hardwood floors, among other pristine features, beckons for an intimate setting. With its “cul de sac” facade, the bistro leads to an alluring outdoor garden where a plethora of vows have been ceremoniously exchanged “pun intended!!”

The Dining room is our latest innovative architectural design that was completed around 2022. The dining room is the epitome of the black-tie event; it’s a picturesque space designed for those who love to entertain. It resembles elegance and sophistication but, most importantly, reflects our core objectives as a neighborhood restaurant. It is perfectly secluded with access to our second garden & an en suite lavatory.

THE WINE BAR

The most memorable experience you can give your guests

Adjacent to the bistro, the wine bar opened in the summer 2015, and its traditional role is to showcase our illustrious, extensive but not meant to intimidate wine selection. The French doors that open inward allow for one to soak up the natural sunlight from inside or while sitting on the terrace while cooling off to a glass of rosè or aperitif. The Wine bar, in its ambiance, from the abstract art on the wall to the bottles that each tell a special story to the many individuals over the years.

    We could not have had a more perfect October wedding day and that is due almost entirely to Meryl and the team at Bacchus. The process of working with Bacchus from booking all the way through execution was incredibly smooth, accommodating, and generous. We had a handful of very specific food allergies the Bacchus handled beautifully, and the space was stunning and charming. We are still getting friends telling us how much fun they had and that our wedding was one of the best they’ve ever been to. We had 105 guests in attendance, and the space didn’t feel cramped at all, and we had plenty of room to dance. We also brought in a DIY Photo Booth, and we brought in our own flowers for Bacchus’ existing bud vases. The only extra decor we provided were our paper goods like name cards menus and framed bar signage (although Bacchus will print them for you, I just had a specific look and paper I wanted to design on, and I provided frames) tapered candles and hurricane vases. Bacchus provided votives for smaller candles. Everyone warns brides about “post wedding depression/regret” but if I could do it all again, I wouldn’t change a single thing.     The team at Bacchus Bistro was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication was always effective, and they were eager to help us with every detail. Meryl, the event coordinator, was so kind and laid-back, which really put us at ease during the planning process. For example, offering to put together my flower arrangements for me. The team had impeccable service, with there never being a shortage of food and drinks for our guests! The venue itself has stunning, nyc chic, decor. The food was out of this world - many of our guests said it was the best they'd ever had at a wedding. This venue is extremely affordable, especially for NYC, offering gourmet menu options like branzino and oysters. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue to celebrate our special day. It was exactly how we envisioned it thanks to Bacchus!

    Bacchus treats you like family. The owner of the restaurant, Bruno, gave us our first tour, the wedding and event coordinator Meryl helped us to plan every detail of an all-inclusive wedding and we were beyond satisfied every step of the way. Likewise, Meryl and her staff were responsive, kind, understanding, and patient with our persistent communication and innumerable questions. Holding to French tradition - they offered incomparable food and drink options, including options for vegan guests, and offered a variety of ways to reach the food and beverage minimum, like additional desserts and wine pairings. On our wedding day, Meryl and her team were at our sides when we needed them and taking care of everything else such as setting up our unconventional guest book, and ensuring that we kept on pace with our wedding day schedule so we didn’t worry about it. Bacchus Bistro offers unparalleled value, incredible familial service, and a neighborhood or backyard ambiance that made it an easy choice for my wife and I. Their food and drinks are truly incredible, change seasonally, and will always leave you dreaming for the next time you can return. We have a special place in our hearts for Bacchus. So much so that when we returned a year later to celebrate our anniversary, Meryl and Francois greeted us by name, wished us a happy anniversary, and helped us to celebrate even while they were hosting another wedding.

    Bacchus Bistro was a fantastic venue for our wedding! Meryl, the event coordinator, was easy to work with, professional, and provided helpful advice and guidance throughout the planning process. The space was beautifully decorated, the food was excellent, and the service on the day of was incredibly attentive. For setup, Bacchus helped with our welcome drink, table layouts, and placecards ahead of time, which reduced the amount of stress and thought on our end. The wine and food tasting during the planning process really got us excited for the big day, and Meryl was an absolute rockstar in making sure everything ran smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our special day. If you're looking for a small / medium Brooklyn venue with a very fair budget, look no further!
