About Kalz Photography
Kristin Lavigne
I’m Kristin aka Kal... I live in a beautiful but hard to identify area just north of the Catskills and south of Albany, east of Oneonta and Cooperstown. It’s close to where I grew up and where my family lives in the Catskills. I love EVERYTHING about a wedding day; the anticipation, the joy, the laughter, the happy tears, and the simple fact that everyone you know is gathered to celebrate with you. I have had the honor of celebrating with so many couples and friends and family and it gives me so much joy. I want you to have the BEST day!! So tell me about your loves, your plans, and let’s start telling your story!
I am inspired by the couples I work with. I am inspired by beautiful light, nature, and movement. I love to capture the romance as much as the silliness of a relationship. My goal is to help make your wedding day the best day it can be and tell your story when it's over.

Amazing Wedding Photography
We can’t say enough amazing things about Kristin Lavigne of Kalz Photography. We have been absolutely raving about her since the wedding — she truly exceeded every expectation. Kristin captured the most stunning photos of us, which is saying a lot coming from Travis, who normally hates taking pictures. She made us feel completely comfortable and natural in front of the camera, and the results are beyond anything we imagined. Her energy was great and immediately put everyone at ease. Kristin is attentive, kind, caring, fun, and incredibly talented. Her eye for detail is unbelievable — she knew exactly how to capture each moment and turn it into the perfect shot. She didn’t just document our wedding; she elevated it. She made our special day even more special, and we know we’ll cherish these photos for the rest of our lives. Her assistant, Arianna, and her husband were also fantastic — the three of them worked together seamlessly and were everywhere all day, capturing every moment without ever feeling intrusive. They were the perfect team, and we are so grateful we got to work with them. Choosing Kalz Photography was one of the best decisions we made. We couldn’t be happier, and we recommend Kristin with all our hearts.

I think Kristin is my new favorite person (besides my husband)! She is so amazing to work with and has so many great photo ideas! She is great at going with the flow of the night and capturing amazing candids. I am obsessed with her editing style! She includes so much in her photography packages. The second photographer (Mary Kathleen Photography) she brought with her was amazing! Also, I have to give a shout-out to JB! He is amazing! She is very responsive and makes sure you get the photos of your dreams. I can't say enough good things about her and her team!!!
