About The O-Tones
Mary Witt
The O-Tones, a hot New England Swing and Soul band will melt your hearts and get your feet dancing. They’ve got soul. The O-Tones band has been playing for public and private events all over New England since 1990 and is a dynamic entity. Their repertoire includes many decades of music from the 1940s Swing tunes by Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra and others to Soul and Motown hits like Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations and many more! They will make your ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and/or dancing special and unforgettable!
We work with each couple to find out what they want their special day to look like. We have a song list with many styles (Swing, Blues, Soul, Jazz, Motown, Latin, Oldies, R&R) that they can pick from and can learn some special requests. We are happy to be part of any part of their wedding - ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing - providing music that supports their vision. The O-Tones are extremely talented musicians who come together to play the music they love! With several soulful singers, backed by a grooving rhythm section, they deliver. The soloists (sax, guitar, piano, plus trumpet &/or trombone if desired) hit just the right tone!

Could have danced all night
The O-Tones were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. Their communication style was highly customized and efficient, making the planning process a breeze. On the day of the wedding, they read the room beautifully and handled themselves and our group in a way that added levels of enjoyment. With their expansive songbook and professional execution, they delivered exceptional value that was truly worth it. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding band - they were an integral part of making our special day unforgettable.
Perfect Choice
We’ve been big fans of the O-Tones for many years. We wanted to hire the full six-piece band, but our small venue -an outdoor pavilion-could not accommodate that. Mary Witt, band leader and outstanding vocalist, suggested a duo, herself on bass and guitarist John Caban. Their repertoire included swing, R&B, classic rock and soul. They were very flexible and professional. We chose as our first dance the Etta James classic “At Last”. (We are in our 70’s!!!) Mary and John’s rendition was moving and a bit sultry - just perfect for us. Their ability to read the crowd and go with our flow added so much to the fun and the warmth of our special day!
O-Tones - fun, fantastic music and professional
When I heard a sample of the O-Tones music I knew immediately that we wanted this fantastic swing band. They did not disappoint! The band was extremely professional, fun and they read the crowd. From the first song they played, people in our wedding party got up and danced - how could they not? It was non-stop dancing all night long. I highly recommend the O-Tones for your wedding reception if you love swing music. And even if you don't know if you love swing music - if you are looking for a band that can get your toes tapping and get everyone out there on the dance floor - young and old - this is the band for you. I can't recommend them enough!
