I am thrilled that you have found your way here. Working in a creative field like photography, I have such an appreciation for movement and connection and meaningful, timeless images. It’s been my goal since becoming a full-time wedding photographer to deliver to my clients enduring images that can be appreciated by their children and grandchildren. Photography is about capturing that perfect moment but it is also about providing a positive portrait experience for my clients so that they not only remember the images but they remember how much fun they had making the memories.

The JHP experience is more than just the images you are provided at the end of your wedding. It’s the communication, the positive engagement session experience, the organization and laid back experience we provide on the wedding day.

Joanna was a dream to work with! She answered all of our questions during the planning process and helped keep our minds at ease. We used Joanna for our engagement and wedding photography and she is incredible. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera from the first moment we worked with her and I couldn't wait to work with her again on our wedding day. She is perfect at coordinating large group photos and equally incredible at finding the beauty in all the details. I found myself so at ease working with her throughout our wedding day and it is a true joy to be able to laugh and joke with your photographer on your wedding day. Our guests were amazed that there was already a slideshow of photos up at the reception and we got preview photos the same night as our wedding. We would recommend her to anyone due to her professionalism, flexibility in booking times, and the quality of photos.

We were fortunate enough to find Joanna for our engagement photos and wedding photos. And we have continued to use her since then for family photos. One thing I love about her is she doesn’t have a travel fee. Our wedding was in Lexington, VA. She is also great with kids and goes with the flow. She’s got such a calm personality that puts you at ease and taking photos with her felt effortless. She also worked around our videographer seamlessly. Most importantly of course, our pictures are stunning!!

I can’t recommend Joanna enough! She has done ALL of our photography and we did not hesitate to have her as our wedding photographer. When I say our pictures came out BETTER than I ever could have dreamed of, I mean like a million times better. I recommend her to all of my friends!
