Hey there, I'm Emma! I am an outgoing and free-spirited photographer living in Manhattan (but born & raised in the Midwest! My heart longs for creating art and telling remarkable stories. I love a good trip to the farmers market, a wine night with my friends, and spending time with my loved ones. Emma Melin Studios is queer-owned and is an inclusive wedding vendor!

Life is about enjoying the little things. Like dancing in the kitchen with your partner or breakfast in bed on a Sunday. My job is as your photographer to show you how these seemingly minuscule moments are something truly beautiful. This package is best suited for couples looking for their whole day to be covered. With this package you can expect to have your getting ready captured up to as well as those sloppy drunk dancing photos. Couples who are having traditional elements or larger weddings often choose this package.

Description

This package is best for couples who don't need a full day's worth of coverage but still want the majority of their day captured. This package is enough to cover the very end of getting ready up until the big moments during your reception like speeches and first dances! This is a good option for couples who are having a more non-traditional day.

We feel so lucky that Emma was our photographer, it was one of the best decisions we could have made! We are so in love with our wedding pictures and were blown away by Emma’s talent. Emma has such a gift for capturing every moment as it happens. She was game to follow us all over the city, making our vision come to life. Plus, she has such a calming and assuring presence which is a huge bonus on wedding day. So glad we did the film add on, so many of our favorite shots were on film. We can’t recommend Emma enough!

I truly can't say enough good things about Emma. From our initial consultation, I instantly got such a good vibe from her, and she never once gave me any reason to think otherwise! Throughout the planning process and now into our post-wedding bliss, my fiancé and I constantly said to each other that she was one of the best vendors we hired. She communicated clearly and easily, quickly answered our most minute questions in a way that made us feel taken care of, and made the awkwardness of picture taking feel so natural. We love our photos so much, and everyone else who has seen them has raved about how good they are and marveled at how she managed to take such excellent photos while remaining completely out of the way of the festivities. We had such blind trust in her that we kind of just let her do her thing, and she nailed it. Hire Emma! You won't regret it.

I am based in New York City. Domestic travel in included in the all-inclusive package. For more about travel, please message me!

I have a handful of trusted second shooters who shoot with me. I select them based on their experience, skill level, and personality. I also make sure my second shooters pair well with my couples!

I do not as it isn’t an accurate representation of my work! My turnaround time is 6-8 weeks after your wedding date. You will also receive a handful of previews 1-3 days after your wedding!

If that happens, which I hope it never does, I will find a trusted associate to fill in for me. The entire process would be the same, just a different face to capture your big day!

I shoot on two Sony A7iii's. I own all Sony prime lenses including a 35mm, 55mm, and 85mm. My cameras are mirrorless and have duel card slots. This means that I automatically have a back-up of your wedding images!

My team and I shoot all weddings using duel-card slots. This ensures we have a second copy of your day in case a card goes corrupt. As soon as I get home I back up your day on two hard drives. I do not clear your wedding from my SD card until your gallery is delivered. I keep a copy of your RAW files on one of my hard drive for 6 months after your gallery delivery.

I would describe my style as warm, candid imagery with an editorial flare. While I capture a variety of traditional wedding images, your gallery will also be filled with non-traditional imagery.

After our consultation, I will send you a customized project proposal. Your 30% non-refundable retainer and signed contract are due within 3 days. Once this is completed, your date is officially booked!
