I have been photographing weddings and events for 8 years, and I couldn't imagine anything more fulfilling than capturing the sweetest and most authentically beautiful moments in my couples' lives. I love making new friends in my clients and can't wait to become one of yours!

My door is ALWAYS open for you. When you hire me, you are not hiring someone who will just take photos, deliver your images, and then disappear. Instead, you will be hiring someone who will be your friend, your hype woman, someone who genuinely wants to make your day as seamless as possible, and someone who will stick around even after your beautiful day is over to cheer you on and watch your life continue to bloom.

    If you want pictures of your wedding, tell your guests to whip their phones out and take pictures. If you want professional photographs of your wedding, there are dozens of people with fancy equipment you could hire. If you want someone who is going to guide you through the real ins-and-outs of the wedding process, someone to warn of you of the potential pitfalls and make suggestions that will bring your day to life, and someone to help you craft a seamless timeline all while making you feel seen, heard, and calm during your special day, hire Melissa. The photographs of our engagement session and our wedding speak for themselves. They’re stunning, and we look forward to looking at them every day of our lives. What you are getting with Melissa goes well beyond someone to take photos. In our first consultation, she put it perfectly: she has been to far more weddings than you ever will. She is an expert, she knows what to expect, and she knows how to keep things moving. She really felt like a second event coordinator, and one who’s primary focus was our well-being. There was a moment during the wedding when things were getting a bit chaotic, and Melissa swooped in and brought us outside, not just to get some beautiful sunset photos but more so to give us a chance to catch our breath and be in a quiet space with each other. This would have been impressive enough on its own, but considering the fact that Melissa warned us that something like this may happen and that she would trust her instincts to know when we needed something we ourselves didn’t even know we needed demonstrates the level of care and professionalism you’ll receive when you hire Blooming Faith. Melissa and her shooting partner were a joy to work with, and we plan on working with Blooming Faith for many of our future milestones.

    I worked with Melissa and her team on an April 2023 wedding in New Jersey (which I was planning/coordinating). From the moment we were introduced to one another, Melissa was extra communicative, kind and patient. She made sure to be attentive to my couple's desires and weighed in with her opinion too. It allowed the couple and the rest of the vendors to feel at ease when the day of arrived. Melissa and her team are fun to work with and I can't wait to work with her again!!!

    It was love at first sight when I found Blooming Faith Photography on Zola! I was struck by the classic style of the portraits and natural air of those being photographed. It was exactly what I was looking for! Melissa was quick to respond to my inquiry and provided all the info I needed right off the bat. She is detailed and thorough in her correspondence and planning, which I appreciated since we only had 5 months to plan our wedding long distance. She offered an introductory Zoom consultation to discuss our vision for the photos so we could feel at ease leading up to the actual day. When the time came, Melissa was the consummate professional! We did a First Look shoot, and she lead the way completely, to avoid any awkward mishaps and to insure we got the moment captured on our video as well. All of our formal photos were posed beautifully and naturally, and she timed it all perfectly (which was great, because it was quite cold!) She’s also great with kids! Our flower girl and ring bearer had a great time doing photos. At both the ceremony and reception, Melissa didn’t miss a single moment yet remained respectful and discreet. Her experience and expertise is obvious! And the photos that we’ve seen so far have been absolutely gorgeous. Timeless and sophisticated while still capturing the joy from that day. And as a human being, we couldn’t have asked for a kinder soul to capture everything for us. Melissa’s warmth and care brought the whole experience to another level. My husband and I were blessed to have found Blooming Faith Photography!

    Melissa is amazing! My mom’s wedding was Melissa’s first about 8 years ago, my family and I have been cheering her on ever since! When I got engaged I knew immediately who I was going to call for our photos! A total bonus an engagement shoot was included in her wedding package!! She was absolutely amazing to work from start to finish. Great communication the entire time, very helpful and very good under pressure. A few things did not go our way on our wedding day due to weather and time but Melissa immediately had an idea on what to do instead. To add, she’s also an amazing hype woman behind the camera and definitely helped our smiles shine on our wedding day. I would give her 100 stars if I could!!
