Styles by Joanne was born out of a desire to pursue my passions in the beauty and styling industry. Starting out as an individual stylist, I quickly realized the demand for my services was growing by the day and that I couldn't do it alone. So, I decided to build a team of like-minded stylists who share my passion for making people feel confident by enhancing their natural beauty. Our ultimate goal is to make our clients leave feeling confident and radiant. We're continually striving to elevate our skills and knowledge so that we can continue to exceed our clients' expectations and offer the same wonderful experience across the board.

Joanne is highly professional, extremely punctual, a great communicator that can help clients navigate through the styling process and narrow down the styles saving precious time, always has the most updated products and tools clean and prepped and provides great customer service with an infectious cheerful smile!

We currently do not require a minimum if services are to be provided in San Diego County. Outside of San Diego County we will require a $500 service minimum per artist involved, travel fee not included.

We have no problem adding on more services, however, you cannot deduct the original number you signed to. Please ensure you provide enough notice when adding more services so we can make sure we have enough artists to accommodate.

You are more than welcome to schedule a trial/preview prior to reserving your date. Just keep in mind that your date will not be reserved without a signed contract and retainer.

We typically allot 45 minutes per guest service and 1 hr for the bride. Based on the bridal party's needs, we will adjust accordingly.

Joanne was so great to work with. She was so responsive and easy to communicate with. As a bride with a lot going on, she made the process from booking to trial to day of very easy on me and flexible. Her and her partner did a great job for myself and my bridesmaid and we were ahead of schedule which is amazing on your busy day. Attached some photos but I was so obsessed with my hair, it stayed all night through the dancing and sweat and the makeup was the perfect combo of feeling pampered without too much makeup that I still felt like myself.

Highly recommend Styles By Joanne Fortune! We had 10 people getting hair and makeup up done and the wedding morning went flawlessly! Joanne was so easy to communicate with, very organized, and made the whole process so easy. After the makeup trial, they incorporated my feedback to create the perfect, natural-looking style that I was looking for. On the day of, they even provided little touchup kits to ensure everyone looked flawless all night long. Styles By Joanne Fortune was an amazing choice for my wedding beauty needs. From the beginning, Joanne and her sister were incredibly kind, helpful, and solution-oriented. During the makeup trial, they actively listened to my feedback and made adjustments to ensure my look was flawless on the big day. On the wedding day, their work was truly impressive - my Korean-inspired makeup was stunning, and the braided half-up, half-curled hairstyle they created stayed perfectly in place all day long. I can't recommend Joanne and her team enough: Definitely book her for your wedding day hair and makeup!! She is so easy to work with and definitely someone whose calming presence you'd want there during the craziness of wedding planning/the day of! I am so grateful I found Joanne for my wedding day hair. I could not have asked for a more soothing presence and sweet individual to bring my wedding look vision to life. From the very start, she was so quick to respond to my questions (and I had a lot)! When I met her and Shonna in person during the hair/makeup trial, I was immediately at ease with how kind, patient, and fun they both were. I fell in love with my trial hair and makeup and it looked great until I took it off late in the evening. As the big day came along, they were both so understanding when we had to make last minute adjustments to the getting-ready order and location. They made the bridesmaids and mothers of the bride/groom comfortable and all the girls loved their hair/makeup. And just like in the trial, my hair and makeup were lovely, even better than how I imagined it, and it stayed on the whole night. Thank you, Joanne and Shonna!
