I’ve been a touring drummer for the last decade with Pattern is Movement. I’ve had the pleasure to share the stage with artists like The Roots, St. Vincent, Dirty Projectors, Shabazz Palaces and tour all around the world. I’ve also been booking shows for years at Philly’s own Johnny Brenda’s. My life revolves around music and that is why I love to DJ.
All of my years of listening to and performing music have helped me hone my ability to read a crowd and when I’m spinning a wedding – my focus is to get and keep the party going. So, when you hire me, you’ll get a DJ who is emotionally invested in your day. We’ll work together to figure out the songs you’ve got to hear on that special day as well the ones you do not want played. My job is to get everyone dancing from your Grandma to your best friend and I take that responsibility seriously!

This is my most common package. Most weddings have a cocktail hour that is not within the reception space. I will bring a PA for the cocktail hour as well as my usual Reception setup.

The BEST wedding DJ!
Chris!!!! We're about 2 weeks out from our wedding and can't stop saying how we had a perfect day through and through. Chris was an amazing vendor to work with from start to finish. The consultation and booking process was easy and informative and once booked, he uses an app where you organize the music by each section of the wedding (Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Dance Floor, etc.), it was super easy to use and made it fun to go through and add/remove music as needed. Every conversation we had with Chris was easy, fun and full of useful information! Chris is not only a DJ, but a real music lover, and a downright nice person, I can't recommend him enough. If music is an important part of your wedding like it was to us, then you can't do better than Chris. 10/10
Chris is the best!
We are so glad we hired Chris to be our wedding DJ! You can tell Chris LOVES music. Our music style is all over the place, but Chris was excited by the challenge. We were blown away by how he transitioned and synthesized songs to keep the flow going for our cocktail hour and wedding reception. He was truly always scanning the room and adjusting the music to the audience - all while still playing our favorite songs. We even had one guest approach us saying, "I haven't been on the dance floor at a wedding in 20 years and now I can't get off!" We can't recommend Chris enough!
Excellent DJ in Philly area!
We loved working with Chris for our wedding. From the very first conversation, he was easy going, friendly, and had a great energy that instantly put us at ease. On the day of the wedding, he really understood our voice and energy, and made fantastic song selections that kept our dance floor packed. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ - and our guests were literally texting us the next morning asking for his information!

When it came to deciding on the music for our wedding, we knew we wanted a DJ, and we knew we wanted that DJ to love music the way we do. We weren’t looking for games or any huge announcements, we just wanted a really, really good party, and Chris/The Other Wedding DJ delivered that tenfold. From our first interactions with Chris over the phone to our wedding day, he was one of our most thoughtful, comprehensive vendors. He was so generous with recommendations for how to create the event we were dreaming of. And we immediately vibed on our music taste for the whole wedding—from guests arriving to the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and the dance party, his playlist never missed. Honestly, I was having so much fun, I didn’t leave the dance floor for the entire reception (luckily my now-husband socialized for me, haha). It was one of the best parties I’ve ever been to, and we’ve had many guests tell us the same. Everyone was impressed with Chris. If you’re looking for a DJ who knows music, can read a room, and can make your event feel curated and seamless, don’t look anywhere else!
