Q: Do you learn new songs?

YES! This is one of our specialities. Although we already have a HUGE range of music in our catalog and in our knowledge from working in music, we LOVE learning new songs for an event. Our founder is musically trained and is used to learning new songs to actually perform in a short time, so this is second nature to us.

Q: How early do you come to set up?

We arrive minimum of 2hrs in advance of guests and the event starting. Why? Because we like to allow time for any unexpected changes that can occur in a venue or anything else that may come up. We like to be set up and ready to go early so that your event begins in a calm and smooth way.

Q: Do you take music requests?

We certainly can....however, we like to check in with our couples or whoever hires us to see what their preference is. Some couples don't want us to take any requests. If you do, we are more than happy to take requests and will accommodate them as best as we can. We come to your event with thousands of songs, so 99.9% of the time we can play a request anyone asks for.

Q: What do you wear?

We always check with our clients what the dress code is. Most often we dress formal. We can color coordinate according to the color theme of the event if necessary and/or wear a particular style. We like to glam it up a bit, as we love style, so you may see us in some fabulous metallic pants at one event, or in a strapless ballgown at another. It just depends on the dress code.

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

We certainly do! We can provide stylish, low profile, speaker set ups for both ceremonies and cocktail receptions. We also can help you choose the perfect music for both these parts of the evening.

Q: Do you provide other services, such as lighting or photo booths?

We can provide uplighting and party dance floor lighting.

We are a WOMAN-OWNED and run boutique DJ Agency. We don't provide a cookie-cutter DJ service. We custom design the music to suit you and your fiance. We avoid the corny typical DJ experience so you get exactly what you want to hear at your wedding. We understand that DJing your event involves the perfect combination of bringing fun energy, choosing just the right music and being prepared. We always bring love and FUN to every event we are part of. We fully customize all the music and curate the day so it perfectly matches you.

After working the events and service industry for years as a musician and DJ, our founder Gemma wanted to start the kind of DJ business she would have liked when she was planning her own wedding. Someone easy and fun to talk to, that understood her musical needs. We love working with couples to create the perfect soundtrack. We truly care about everyone we work with. We are really 'down to earth', we pay great attention to detail in the event planning, timeline and music playlists and we make sure every event is custom designed just for you.

We could not speak more highly of Luvdup DJs! Gemma and her team were amazing throughout the entire process. We needed DJs for three events throughout our wedding festivities. The vibes and music/genres were very unique for each event, but Gemma and the DJs we had for each event knocked it out of the park, far exceeding our expectations (shoutout to Ty, Kelton, and Kevin!). We appreciated how much care and thought was given during the discovery and planning part of the process. Gemma and the DJs took the time to understand our vision and fill in their expertise to whatever degree we wanted, without ever being pushy. This was important to us because for certain events we had a clear and specific vision (pretty much “play this playlist”) and for others we only had a high-level vision of the music/genres. We have to give a special nod to DJ Ty, who was the DJ through the main wedding reception (first dances, speeches, dance party): Ty went above and beyond in all ways. Beyond a superhuman sense of music and DJ’ing, he was humble, helpful, and keenly aware. He anticipated and proactively helped multiple members of the wedding party throughout the evening, and always focused on making it our best day, never drawing unnecessary attention to himself. Ty, if you’re reading this, you’re awesome. But seriously, everybody was amazing. Gemma, Ty, Kelton, and Kevin, thank you for everything! 10 stars.

Gemma was absolutely fantastic. From the first conversation, all the way to the wedding, and even after, she was so kind, caring, and fun. We talked through our vibe for the night and it couldn't have been better. We had an absolute blast dancing, I wish we could've kept going for hours and hours. The music was epic. I can't wait to figure out another time to have a party so I can work with Gemma again!
