String Quartet

Impulse Strings is a premier music collective based in NYC, offering live string music for weddings and events. From string quartets and trios to duos and soloists, our ensembles perform everything from classical favorites to custom arrangements of pop, rock, and Top 40 hits. Our musicians are graduates of top NYC conservatories and have performed on world-class stages. We offer amplification and work one-on-one with each couple to curate a personalized soundtrack for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and beyond.

At Impulse Strings, every arrangement is written from scratch—by musicians, for musicians—to perfectly match your vision. We don’t rely on generic sheet music; our custom string arrangements are thoughtfully crafted to bring your favorite songs to life with style and precision. Combined with our top-tier conservatory-trained performers and personalized approach, we deliver a musical experience that’s truly one of a kind.

    I’m so thrilled that Impulse Strings played during our ceremony and cocktail hour! It was perfect. Alexandria (Allie), Eva, Katie, and Jenny are all incredible professional musicians who truly care about helping make the wedding day special and personalized. I’m so grateful for their hard work and dedication—my brother and mother wanted to sing two songs at cocktail hour, and the quartet took the time to learn them both and rehearse separately beforehand. Their communication was top-notch throughout. Many friends told me their performance was one of the most memorable moments of the wedding!

    Impulse Strings was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very first conversation, their communication was fast and professional, putting us at ease throughout the entire planning process. On the day of, their performance was nothing short of beautiful, perfectly capturing the emotion of our ceremony song and keeping the energy high with their lively reception songs. They even stepped up at the last minute to back our opera singer, and squeezed in a quick practice beforehand to make sure everything went off without a hitch. Impulse Strings truly helped make our special day even more magical, and we couldn't recommend them highly enough.
