Q: What do you wear?

I generally wear cocktail or floor-length dresses depending upon your preferred dress code and the weather if it is an outdoor ceremony.

Q: Do you learn new songs?

I am willing to learn new tunes for your special day as long as I am given at least one month's notice to learn and perfect them. If you have more than 3 special requests, I would want at least 2 months' notice.

Q: What makes you different from other musicians?

I have an extensive & eclectic repertoire encompassing multiple genres including: Classical (ie: Pachelbel's Canon, Bach, Handel), soft rock and pop hits, show tunes, classic country, jazz, hymns and worship music, standards from the American Songbook (think Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington) right up to contemporary tunes from Ed Sheeran and Adele. My goal is to provide a sophisticated and relaxed vibe. I can perform all instrumentals if you prefer, or mix in some vocals for more variety.

Q: Do you take music requests?

I am happy to play requests if I know the tunes. If you have any special requests you'd like me to play on your special day, please give me at least a month's notice so I have an opportunity to perfect them. If you have more than 3 special requests, please give me at least 2 months' notice.

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

I provide music for both wedding ceremonies as well as cocktail receptions. I will play for 30 minutes as your guests gather for your ceremony, then perform your choice of processional, any special tunes you'd like during your service, your choice of recessional, and can provide up to 3 more hours of music for your cocktail reception.

Q: Can you provide specialty, religious, or ethnic musicians?

I have an a good number of hymns and worship tunes that I play at a church regularly. I'm also willing to learn any special songs you'd like if I'm given at least 1 month's notice.

Q: Are you fully insured?

Yes, I have a liability policy.

Q: What is your style?

I provide a sophisticated and relaxed vibe. People will recognize all or most of the tunes I play and folks may want to slow dance to many of them.

Q: How early do you come to set up?

Depending upon how much gear I need to bring and set up, I may arrive an hour to 90 minutes ahead of time to set up and sound check. I begin playing at least 30 minutes before your ceremony is scheduled to begin.

Q: Do you provide other services, such as lighting or photo booths?

I can provide a cordless mic for announcements.

I have been entertaining and providing music for weddings, dinner parties, fine dining restaurants, celebrations of life, church services, nursing homes, Sunday brunches, and cocktail hours throughout and around the Monadnock Region of NH for over 15 years. My repertoire includes favorites from the 1920s through today and includes soft rock, pop, country, spiritual, light Classical, and tunes from the American Song Book. I will provide the appropriate ambiance for your function at a volume that allows for conversation. I can perform inside or outdoors if provided with a flat, sheltered area and access to electricity.

My goal is to provide ambiance - not be the center of attention. I can play all instrumentals or mix in some vocals for variety. And I'm happy to learn tunes by special request if given at least a month's notice. I have an extensive repertoire that is always growing. And I can provide my own keyboard and sound system.

Description

30 minutes of live music as guests arrive, ceremonial music including your choice of processional and recessional music, any tunes requested during the ceremony, and up to 3 hours of live music during a cocktail reception held within 2 hours of the ceremony. I'll learn your special tunes if given at least one month's notice. Cocktail reception will include music suitable for slow dancing at a volume that allows for conversation.

As a DJ, I have been fortunate to work with Diane as an individual and as part of the duo, Rick and the Redhead. They have provided music for my 40th birthday & we have worked together to honor the homeless who die during a winter solstice event at Keene Square. Most recently, Diane was the featured entertainment at my father's 70th birthday at The Arlington Inn. She worked with my mother to create a wonderful soundtrack for the event. I was outdoors, but when I went inside for a moment, Diane played Josh Groban's You Raised Me Up for a special dance with my Mom. She then did Bridge Over Troubled Water by request for a cousin. Fabulous music! Diane is a very skillful and talented musician. She was willing to learn special songs, play keyboard and/or sing, tailor the music to our event needs and preferences, and make great suggestions when we needed them... she worked well with the other musicians involved and was very fair in her pricing when "extra" rehearsals and accommodations were made. I had the pleasure of working with Diane on music for a wedding. She has a broad repertoire that spans from classical to jazz to pop hits. Not only did she accompany my singing, but she also provided the processional and recessional for the ceremony as well as background music for the reception. She was very generous with her time, coming to several rehearsals, working with multiple musicians, and learning new songs requested by the bride. As a musician myself, I really appreciate her great technical skill and versatility, and her ability to both play and sing with heart and soul.

I’ve had the pleasure of being in the audience for several of Diane Ammons’ performances at a variety of venues — restaurants, nursing homes, and church. She is expert at selecting the perfect songs for the occasion and audience, and has the experience and ability to be the focus of attention or melt into the background, depending upon the event. Her piano and vocal skills are impressive, and she has an extensive repertoire spanning several genres. She is even able to take requests! I enjoy that she plays music that is familiar and I can hum along to — some songs I hadn’t heard in years and “took me back”, but also more current tunes. She is very pleasant, makes her audience comfortable, and I hope to see her perform at many more events in the area. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an accomplished entertainer!
