Harpist

By the time she was three years old, Olivia Claggett was asking for a harp teacher. At six years old, she began taking piano lessons with Jean Wonders, and at eight she began Suzuki harp lessons with professional harpist, instructor, and adjudicator Candyce Dunham. She never looked back after her first lesson in October 2007. During her many years as a student, Olivia continued to push herself musically by competing in numerous competitions winning the annual Buckeye Christian School Organization’s spring competition for five consecutive years.

    I have worked with Olivia and her sister from Sharon Valley Harp, LLC for the last 5 years, and they never disappoint. Their communication is thorough, friendly, and articulate, and the quality of their work is excellent and truly professional. Olivia’s harp playing sets the perfect tone, with beautiful soothing background music at receptions, thus allowing guests to still talk and visit. We have invited Olivia to play at many events, and her music only keeps getting better if that’s possible! We especially enjoy when she brings her sister and they play together - their harmonies are stunning!

    Some of the most beautiful music I’ve heard. So calming and peaceful and played with love. Olivia Claggett is so talented. Her music tells a story. It calms and relaxes and just brings light and meaning and happiness to whatever venue or occasion it’s played for. Even if simply driving in the car. If you want beautiful tranquil classic music, Sharon Valley Harp is the best choice. Licking County is blessed to have this as part of our community.

    Olivia was an absolute joy to work with for our wedding. From our first interaction, she was professional yet personable! She was really thoughtful and willing to help me pick songs for our ceremony because I had no idea what I wanted yet. Her passion for her work really showed! She even took some behind the scenes photos of the ceremony that I'll treasure forever. I would recommend her highly!
