Hi, name is Charmaine and I’ve been a passionate baker since 2016. What started as a hobby and a side job throughout college, later turned into my career. I’m a self-taught baker who has always enjoyed art and baking. So, what better way to make desserts look just as good as they taste? In 2023, I opened my storefront in Staten Island, NY and it’s been great! I strive to make all of my customers and couples happy and I look forward to hearing how much everyone enjoyed the cake. And remember, a cake is not just dessert, but it’s also the centerpiece at your wedding that you’ll never forget!

I'm a former costume designer and fashion historian with a PhD in English literature, now using my love of art, craft, and design to create one-of-a-kind custom wedding cakes! I make delicious, colorful cakes in traditional and modern flavor combinations, topped with handcrafted sugar flowers. I use only the highest-quality ingredients and always emphasize both design and taste. I would love to work with you to make your cake one of the most memorable and beautiful parts of your wedding!

SnoScoops came out of a need for a refreshing yet delish dessert that met my dietary needs. In 2024, I went on the Paleo diet as part of the 75 Hard, and found it difficult to find a dessert that was sugar free, dairy free and oat free so I made my own. Sugar Monster is an award winning, concierge cake studio owned by Pastry Chef Ashley Holt. Ashley has won prestigious honors in her field and is currently working as the Senior Food Stylist at the TODAY Show. She has been in the cake industry for 10 years and puts incredible attention to detail in each of her designs. Her availability is limited and she is very selective with the orders she currently takes.
