Both my wife and I are from bay areas so it was important to get married by the water. I can’t stress enough how beautiful this venue is. It’s pretty much all inclusive, you can bring your own booze, vendors and decorations. It includes a stay in their fabulous inn which is 4 bedrooms. Our whole bridal party stayed and it was the best experience. We decided to book the night before too. You can even take pictures on the Marina docks right next to the property (for a small fee). The place itself is so dreamy, we used one lawn for our ceremony and one for lawn games and our cocktail tables. Watching the sunset from the reception space and the sparkly lights on both lawns was just sooo gorgeous. Now for the team, they went ABOVE and BEYOND to accommodate our requests and answer all my hundred questions and they were so flexible with us when we had to postpone for Covid twice. We are incredibly grateful for the team. They shared all their tips and tricks and made our wedding perfect. The coordination between the wedding venue and our planner was flawless. And best part was the seamless delivery of our late night snack, hot pretzels! And the space perfect accommodated a photo booth which everyone loved. We finally got married in September 2023! I highly recommend as a wedding venue 10/10.

My husband and I just got married at Jefferson Street Mansion and it was the most perfect wedding we could have ever imagined - it exceeded our vision! The whole JSM team was so amazing to work with and made planning as stress-free as possible. We stuck to the planning timeline they provided in the planning binder (which was SO helpful to have) and had everything ready in time. Our guests all raved about what a fabulous wedding it was. We customized the venue quite a bit bringing in our own decor and personal touches and it did not feel cookie-cutter at all even though it is an all-inclusive venue. I am so happy we chose JSM!! The recommended vendors were all outstanding, the food was delicious, everything ran smoothly during the wedding and I didn't have to stress about a thing. The mansion, ceremony area, and reception tent are all BEAUTIFUL. I could not have asked for a more perfect day.

We recently had our outdoor Traditional American Ceremony only on (August 31, 2024) at Riggers Loft, and I can't sing their praises enough! From the breathtaking views to the exceptional service, every detail was impeccable. Special shoutout to Chef Frank, whose culinary talents truly shone through—our guests are still raving about the fantastic food. Since it was a outdoor ceremony only event, we wanted to provide our guests with small bites before the start of the procession. We chose: Asian Salmon Tartar on Wontons,
Paper Cone French Fries,
Petit Spam Musubi, Fried Mac & Cheese Bites with dipping sauce of chef’s choice. We did a tasting on each of these prior and they were DELICIOUS! No adjustments were needed. Also to include that Barbara and Chef Frank wine bottle selection was amazing! We even wanted a white wine sangria option for our guests too on a hot summer day. Chef Frank created the recipe and it was a hit! The venue's atmosphere was perfect for our celebration, combining rustic charm with modern elegance. The staff were attentive and ensured everything ran smoothly, making our special day stress-free and unforgettable. The airstream onsite was a delightful and unique touch, providing a cozy and stylish space for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready. It added a special charm to the preparations, making those moments even more memorable. If you're looking for a venue that offers outstanding service, a beautiful setting, and amazing food, Riggers Loft is the place to be. Highly recommend! Thank you, Riggers Loft, for making our dream wedding come true!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Bridal suite on site
  • Multiple event spaces

Venue considerations

  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • On-site parking not available
Hiddenbrooke Hills is a phenomenal venue. What sold us on them initially was they provided a binder with every detail we could ever think of -- food, cake, florals, timeline (planning and day of), down to whether or not you wanted your pet in the wedding. They have a number of recommended/partnered vendors, but aside from linens and tables, catering, and bartender, you could opt in or out of any vendors you wanted to fully customize your day. And the catering and bartenders were excellent, and they have some excellent options for chairs, tables, and linens -- so don't let this deter you! They were incredible communicators and reassured us every step of the way. The entire team really went above and beyond. Our day-of coordinator Christina was friendly, organized, gave us space when we needed but kept us to our timeline, and really made us feel like guests at our own wedding in the best way possible. Our banquet captain Eric went out of his way to ensure that us as well as our immediate families were treated like royalty the entire night, and we truly felt like honored guests on our own wedding day. The venue itself is very romantic. The outdoor ceremony site feels private and the aisle and archway is actually paved for the bridal party -- a game-changer for anyone wearing heels! We opted to do an indoor ceremony due to the weather, and the indoor ceremony site feels just as well thought out and romantic as the outdoor option. It felt like a log cabin surrounded by greenery. The entire walkway from indoor ceremony site to cocktail hour location to reception is covered. The cocktail hour location is a cute fireside area with enormous windows and exposed stonework. It feels cozy and was a perfect space for our guests. It also is adjacent to our reception area, which was perfect if our guests wanted a quieter place to chat during open dancing. The reception area is super romantic with white drapery and enormous windows, with doors that can be propped open for crossflow and a quiet HVAC system to keep everyone comfortable. Of all the venues we looked at, we felt like we got the best deal for the price here. It was simple to create a custom wedding without feeling "railroaded", but still have enough options to feel guided instead of lost. Everything -- from the partnered vendors, to the site, to the staff -- felt like it was a luxury experience. Definitely check out Hiddenbrooke -- you won't be disappointed!

The Faculty Club

Built in 1902 by the renowned architect Bernard Maybeck in traditional Arts and Crafts style, it's designed to create a cozy, intimate feeling. The crowning glory of the club is the three-story Great Hall. With its vaulted ceiling, massive stone fireplace, and stained-glass windows featuring heraldic crests of the great universities of the world, it's reminiscent of many a European cathedral. Light from the floor-to-ceiling windows warms the redwood paneling and suffuses the Hall in a golden glow. Two charming smaller spaces are also available for functions. The Heyns and Seaborg rooms (named respectively after a chancellor and a distinguished University Nobel Laureate) both have French doors leading to a private outdoor area with a garden view. The Faculty Club has been serving its members and guests for over 100 years and will do everything possible to make your event successful and enjoyable.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Designed for grand celebrations
  • Flexible event spaces

The Faculty Club was a pleasure to work with. They're very professional and have great insights into different setups and options. They worked with all our vendors and made sure all items we needed were provided. Setup and breakdown were also done in an efficient manner and very happy with our cocktail hour on the glade and dinner inside.

We had the absolute best experience hosting our wedding here. Natasha Norman was incredible to work with through the entire planning process. She was clear on pricing, set our expectations well, was incredibly responsive, and helped coordinate the event on the day of the wedding. We asked for some extra time to set up the room and, since the room hadn't been booked the day before the event, she let us come in the day prior to get everything in order. Natasha spoke with our DJ and coordinated for his set-up, which was very helpful. The team setting up the event also did the perfect job of setting up the tables and outdoor chairs exactly as we'd asked. I changed my mind on the arch at the last minute, and they had no problem making the change. The wedding was incredible, our guests felt comfortable in their rooms and were pleased they could bring their dogs so they didn't have to hire a dog-sitter. Everyone was impressed by the view and by the fact that the sun was setting behind the sweetheart table in the Bayview Ballroom. I also want to give a shoutout to the banquet manager who made us feel at home, kindly brought us beverages as we were setting up, and took care of us throughout the stay. I’ve received at least half a dozen compliments on the qualify of the food served, and I felt the pricing was very reasonable – especially when compared to other hotels on the water nearby. I also loved that the hotel provided us a contingency plan if we needed to move our outdoor wedding to the indoors because of rain or anything else. We truly felt special and valued and would use this venue again in a heartbeat.

Communication prior, during and after our events were flawless and the food… I’ve had 2 events here and every time the food was both delicious to eat and look at. Parking is ample and the space is easy to find. I honestly can’t say enough about this space. The opportunities to make the interior your own is endless thanks to the minimalist decor. We booked the gardens in mid May for our wedding and it was a gorgeous wedding venue! It offers a spacious, beautiful garden teeming with blooming roses, different garden areas to explore, a super cute gazebo ceremony space, a nice cocktail area near the reception room, and the reception room with large windows for plenty of natural light. The lot has 50 free parking spaces. The rental rate is fairly reasonable for the venue space and what's offered. In addition to the main spaces, there's a getting ready room downstairs available to add on, seating for the ceremony, circle/rectangular (not full width) tables for dinner, and a few cocktail tables for the bar area downstairs. Management allows for a fair amount of DIYing and independent vendor selections, with the only exceptions being a preferred catering list with good selection and off list caterers allowed with a fee and vetting. Professionals also must put up any hanging decorations in the reception room, and decor can't be hung directly off of the garden structures and reception room walls. We communicated with Jenna throughout the planning process. She was super responsive and helpful, answering every question we sent her way. Overall, I loved the gardens for our wedding and would recommend it to others!

Venue considerations

  • Lighting and sound are not included
  • Not for you if you don't want a rustic vibe
  • No on-site guest accommodations
We had our wedding at Shadelands Ranch Museum in 2018 and couldn't have been happier with our decision! We had a few parameters to work within — a tight budget, a list of vendors we wanted to work with, and a large guest count. The staff at Shadelands were incredibly accommodating and easy to partner with. Since their policy allows food trucks and other mobile caterers, we were able to hire one of our favorite local BBQ restaurants to cater, which was a huge hit. The venue grounds are large enough to fit a sizeable group — perfect for our guests who brought children — they had plenty of room to run around on the lawn. In the summer, the venue adds string lights in the trees around their gazebo, creating a beautiful and romantic touch when the sun sets. The gazebo served as a beautiful centerpiece and the location for our photo booth. Our DJ had plenty of space to set up on the back patio, which doubled as the dance floor. The venue’s accessibility was incredible, with ample parking, clean restrooms, a kitchen, and a porch for the bride to ‘hide’ until the ceremony. And because the venue provided the tables and chairs, we only needed to rent table linens. Shadelands is the place to book if you want a beautiful and affordable outdoor wedding venue in Walnut Creek that can accommodate both your ceremony and reception. The attentive staff, accessible location, and flexibility around customization make it an ideal place to tie the knot!

The staff at Chabot are incredibly kind and were quick to respond to our emails and questions. The space was incredibly expansive and unique for our guests. The planetarium ceremony was our favorite part, and we will treasure those memories forever. We will forever remember our gorgeous Oakland wedding at the Terrace Room. This venue highlights the beauty of Oakland, especially at night. It’s absolutely stunning. Candi (the event coordinator) was super sweet and worked with us faithfully, even through two COVID-19 postponements. After hearing about all the horrors couples went through with unaccommodating venues, Terrace Room made it easy to stick it out with them to have the wedding we originally wanted. Their food is fantastic as well! We keep getting compliments on it from our guests to this day. Choosing Terrace Room meant knocking out many to-do’s off our wedding planning list, as they provide a lot of services in their pricing. Speaking of price, this place can’t be beat. You get a lot for your money. Take a look at their preferred vendor list as well, they have some winners! Thank you eternally to Candi and Terrace Room for hosting the most beautiful night of our lives.

On the southern edge of Napa Valley, the banks of the Napa River contour around the historic Stanly Ranch, where pristine vineyards blanket gently rolling hills that rise up to meet the wide-open California sky. Here, an extraordinary new luxury resort is taking shape. Stanly Ranch, a new destination in the heart of wine country, celebrates the romance of connecting with family and friends in a setting that’s steeped in winery estate tradition, inspired by the beauty of the land, and infused with a fresh, convivial spirit.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides lighting and sound
  • Feels like a getaway

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you are looking for something nontraditional
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Not for you if you don't want a rustic vibe
The pricing on here is wrong. The venue fee alone is almost 30k. Then the food and beverage minimum is 50k but if you have 150 guests you will spend more like 80k. Plus there is a service fee of at least 13k. So BEFORE photographer, footwear, videographer, band, decor etc. you’re already at around 123k.

Plant Connection SF’s event venue is a lush and spacious indoor-outdoor urban oasis. Venue rental including private access to a large plant-filled room with a variety of seating options that opens to a verdant rooftop patio complete with panoramic skyline views of downtown San Francisco and Salesforce Tower, a portable bar, portable heaters, an olive and citrus grove and the frequent presence of hummingbirds. A unique feature of our venue is that it is attached to a plant nursery housed in a gorgeous red solarium where guests may shop for plants and gifts during your event, if desired. Plant lovers (and plant lovers to-be) are sure to swoon.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Provides lighting and sound
  • Provides setup and cleanup

Venue considerations

  • On-site parking not available
  • No all-inclusive dining options
  • Not wheelchair accessible
The moment we walked into Plant Connection SF I knew it was the perfect place to host the kind of unconventional wedding celebration we had in mind. The setting with the plants inside and out was important to me as my mother who is no longer in this realm was a gardener/plant whisperer. I could feel connected to her in the setting. Ali the main coordinator we worked with was very helpful and a great communicator both through email and in person. We really liked having the ability to set up the bar outside and keep the doors open to keep the flow of air circulating as people mixed and mingled. It was a wonderful whirlwind day and it seemed like it was over in a flash, but we keep hearing from people about how much fun they had. We highly recommend Plant Connection SF for people who want to embrace an unconventional setting for a celebration in the heart of the city.
