The quality of their work was truly exceptional - the food was absolutely delicious and their team worked incredibly well with all of our other vendors. They even prepared a special tray of apps and our signature drinks for my husband and I so we could take a few moments alone after the ceremony to decompress, and continued to provide drinks and food as needed throughout the entire night. We could not have asked for a better catering experience, and highly recommend Zeffert and Gold to any couple planning their wedding.”

My husband and I got married in August at Woodberry Kitchen. We hired Layla for our engagement photos, rehearsal dinner and wedding day. For our engagement photos, I was nervous to be in front of the camera, but she made us feel comfortable, made us laugh and got beautiful shots! It was awesome to have her for the rehearsal dinner, she took great photos of us and our guests. On our wedding day she was the best! “We were the first wedding that True Chesapeake had done and they exceeded our expectations. We really had a unique wedding experience thanks to them. Guests had access to an oyster bar right when they walk in as well as an open bar. Planning was easy because almost everything was through True Chesapeake. They set up the chairs for our ceremony, then flipped the room. They set up the bridal party space with drinks and snacks so we didn’t go hungry. Communicating with their team was easy, punctual , and efficient. The food was obviously in house and AMAZING! Everyone said we had the best wedding food. Our wedding felt like exactly what we wanted!”

“We can’t thank Sarah's team enough for creating such gorgeous florals and installations, even with a rain delay and plan B fully in effect. We appreciated her ability to ‘bring the outside in’ and it really felt like that. Sarah went above and beyond to make our floral dreams come true, all while respecting our budget and working hard to give us what we wanted. We loved supporting her business and her farm and working with her was a great experience with her positive attitude, passion, and vast knowledge of both florals and wedding planning. I wish I had more time to just stare at all of the little floral details at our wedding. The white ceremony columns with the white urns on top truly looked like an art installation; they were stunning. They were the perfect backdrop to our ceremony. THE STAIRCASE. I have never heard so many compliments. It was DREAMY. The tiny vines that spun around the railing. The ivy. The floral focal point at the bottom. It was better than I could have even imagined. It also smelled amazing and was the perfect place to do the wedding toasts, it will live forever in our videos and photos! The mantle installations also looked amazing (again something I wish I had more time to look at!!). THE PEONIES. It’s official that our wedding had a signature scent and it was PEONY! Which was also fitting since I wore peony perfume that day so now peonies will forever remind me of our wedding day which is so exciting for me because I love them. THE CENTERPIECES were perfect floating masterpieces just like I imagined. The combination of florals Sarah put together was classic but with an abstract/ organic twist and I loved all of the different unique buds in each one. The BOUQUETS turned out so beautiful. I loved how they were different but complimented each other so well. The shapes were so fun and you really got to see the color contrast which was perfect. 10/10 recommend working with Sarah for your wedding! (photos via @morganshootsfilm)”
