We got married at the Blue Dress Barn this summer and our entire wedding day was like a fairytale--we still can't get over how beautiful everything was. The greenery and grounds of the BDB are unmatched and our guests couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful everything was. Amelia is helpful and easy to work with and Georgia is lovely as well. The barn staff left the florals up on the arch and in the barn from the night before, which was such an incredible surprise because they were so gorgeous. The getting ready areas for the bridesmaids and groomsmen had so many beautiful & intentional details that made it so special for us. The venue is also well known by other vendors in the area as well since it's been around for so long (23 years!), and so working with our catering staff (Classic Catering), photography (Spencer Penfield) and DJ (DJ Jennefa) was a breeze. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a single thing. We feel so grateful we were able to spend our favorite day with all of our friends and family at this beautiful venue! Thank you, Amelia!

My husband nor I are from Michigan (from the Chicagoland area) and everyone kept asking us "why Michigan?" The moment they walked in, they felt the same feeling I did when I first toured the venue. It is beautiful, unique, personal and was everything and more that I could have hoped for. Our wedding as at the end of June and we were very fortunate that the rain held off and the temperature/humidity ended up being perfect. We had about 185 guests attend the wedding and I think everyone was too stunned by the venue to even care about the drizzle of rain that was happening. Not to mention, Amelia and her staff are absolutely amazing from the very beginning to the very end.

My husband and I had our wedding at Bayview in July and could not have been happier! We searched just about every venue in Northern Michigan and Bayview was unlike any other - we truly believe that this will be the most popular venue in Northern Michigan in a few years. We had so many guests say it was the most beautiful venue they had ever been at and some compared it to the Catalina Wine Mixer (IYKYK). Rose was a pleasure to work with and you could feel her passion come through. She just wanted us to have the best day possible and did everything she could to make that happen!! Rose keeps special plants that attract butterflies around the venue site and during our ceremony we had 5 flying around - it was so special. Words cannot even describe the beauty of this place. There was a special ‘shack’ (updated, of course) next to a pond where my husband and his groomsmen got ready and fished before the ceremony! There is a glammed out barn that the bridesmaids hung out in before the ceremony. They even have a special area in the cherry groves with string lights that is perfect for a first look. Our wedding was better than our wildest dreams. Thank you Rose and the entire Bayview team for making our wedding the most perfect day of our lives! 10000/10

We had our wedding here and it was such a beautiful experience! The venue is absolutely stunning, especially the garden area, and we loved knowing there was a great backup plan in case of rain. Thankfully, the weather cooperated, but it gave us so much peace of mind. Communication leading up to the wedding was fantastic, and the staff accommodated everything to the best of their ability. The food was incredible—our guests couldn’t stop talking about it—and the bar service was top-notch. Our rehearsal dinner was also amazing. We chose the pizza option, and it was such a hit! There were plenty of choices, and my sister loved how there was something for each one of her kids. Most importantly, Ginny, the banquet manager, was amazing to work with. She was warm, helpful, and truly made the day run as smoothly as possible. Overall, we had such a wonderful day here and made the best memories. Solasta was a surprise to me in that it simply wasn’t on my radar, but I’m glad I stopped by when I saw it just off the road. The mulled wine I tried tasted great and wasn’t cloyingly sweet. The staff seemed very friendly and helpful, and the interior was warm and inviting. The wine menu was surprisingly large, and the mulled wine actually used multiple wines to get the profile they were after. It’s definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and like wine.

My husband and I were married here on 7.13.2024. It was heavenly!!! When we toured other venues in the southwest Michigan region no place felt quite right. We happened to hear about Inisfree in passing and decided to drive over. Peggy and Bruce (the owners) couldn't have been kinder and more welcoming and they remained that way the entire process and continue to be! They have so much passion for Inisfree and it shows. The ground are beautiful and immaculate and they truly love to engage with people. We also rented all ten rooms out at the bed and breakfast for our wedding weekend and got special and intimate time with our friends- from pool time, garden/patio hangs, and delicious home made breakfasts (quiche, zucchini bread, blueberry muffins just to name some of my favorites). Our friends/wedding party who stayed onsite continue to rave about their stay and the guests of our wedding party couldn't get over how beautiful the property is. Everyone loved silent disco!!! Do you self a favor and book a tour. The place speaks for itself. We can't wait to return for our anniversary :)

  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
The Waddell Center was the perfect venue for our wedding. With a great location and reasonable prices, it was an easy choice for us. The space itself is spacious and absolutely beautiful - our guests were blown away by how elegant and well-appointed it was. Everyone at The Waddell Center, especially our coordinator Bre, was so helpful throughout the planning process. Bre answered every question we had and made sure the entire day went as smoothly as possible. She truly went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and stress-free. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or team to work with for our special day. Another perk is the parking lot! Anything close to downtown never has appropriate/easy parking and this had more than enough!
