Located just minutes from Lake Michigan, The Barn at French Valley Vineyard is nestled among the grapes and cherry trees on 70 sprawling acres in the heart of Leelanau County. Set back from the road, The Barn at French Valley Vineyard feels remote and private, yet it’s just minutes from Traverse City, Leland, Suttons Bay, and the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. Our fully restored, Amish-built centennial barn is idyllic and charming with seemingly endless 180-degree views of the rolling hills of French Valley and beyond from expansive second-story windows. Manicured lawns provide ample space for tents of all sizes to allow fine-tuning and customization to suit your vision.

    Nestled amongst the rolling hills of Leelanau County, French Valley Vineyard features a fully restored event barn and 70 acres of spacious farmland. Your guests are invited to explore the vineyard, and event barn, and cozy up to a bonfire at the end of your event. The property is YOURS for the entire weekend for your special event. The Barn at French Valley vineyard was built in the early 1900s by skilled Amish craftsmen. The hand-hewn beams, crystal chandeliers, string ceiling lights, and lavish property, create a romantic, rustic atmosphere. Outside the centennial barn doors, is a breathtaking view of our vineyard, landscaped patio with cocktail tables, guest sitting, and a 6-foot wishing fountain

      My daughter and son-in-law were married there last September, 2024. It was a dream wedding in the Orchards and reception in the barn. Beautiful and scenic grounds. The staff, led by Channing, were helpful in every way. I would highly recommend the French Valley.

      French Valley Vineyard was the perfect venue for our recent surprise birthday party for 80 guests. From the moment we first contacted them, the staff was prompt, courteous, friendly and incredibly helpful. They provided excellent recommendations and support before, during and after the event. The spacious, rustic setting was ideal for our party, which featured a live band, bar and catered food. The staff was very accommodating of our needs and went above and beyond to ensure our special day was a success. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and highly recommend French Valley Vineyard for any event.

      French Valley Vineyard was an absolute dream to work with as a vendor for a private event. Their communication throughout the planning process was top-notch - they were incredibly responsive, clear, and helpful every step of the way. The quality of their work and the overall value they provided was simply the best.       As a wedding coordinator, I have had the pleasure of working at French Valley many times; it's honestly one of my favorite venues in the area. The property itself is stunning, regardless of the season; with both indoor and outdoor options, you are prepared for whatever weather comes your way. The Barn, at over 100 years old, is a beautiful rustic setting. Complete with a loft upstairs, its perfect for a ceremony space, reception dinner or just a floor to dance the night away. Have a larger wedding guest list? No problem! The lawn across from The Barn is a perfect place to set your party tent with plenty of room for all your guests. Added bonus: the downstairs bridal suite! The bride will have an amazing space to relax and get ready- all without having to leave the property! The staff are super friendly, helpful and amazing to work with. From the moment you step on-site for a tour, you will feel like a friend of the family. They are so welcoming and really help to guide you through the basic outline of getting married at French Valley. In combination with their list of preferred vendors, they make wedding planning fun and stress free! If you are looking for a venue with versatility, beautiful views and a super friendly and supportive staff, look no further. French Valley is the ideal venue to say "I do!"
