If you are questioning whether to pick the Makoy or not for your big day, DO IT!!! We had our wedding reception in The Emerald Room on 7/19/2025 and it was, simply put, the best day of our lives and that was in large part thanks to Matt Eder, Erin Pearson, and their team at the Makoy! From the day we met them when we were touring the venue, they were some of the most personable, accommodating, easy to talk to, and easy to work with people we've ever met! We knew immediately after we walked out the day that there was no other place to have our wedding other than the Makoy. We had 250 people at our reception and our guests were raving about the fast service, both for plated food and at the bar, large portion sizes, and beautiful decorations and setup at the Makoy. Not only that, but throughout the wedding planning process, Matt was able to answer all of my millions of emails with questions in HOURS! We just can't say enough about how amazing the Makoy is and their staff there. Pick the Makoy for your big day, you won't regret it!

Our family enjoyed one of the best events of our lives at the Barn of Hidden Valley as we gathered for a family reunion. It will be the greatest event next to the first time we said "I Do". The setting is everything you could hope for. Picturesque, quiet, serene. So much room both inside and outdoors to celebrate any function you could imagine. It was obvious on our first visit that the hosts at the Barn have thought of everything to make your event unforgettable. From the interior decor to the outdoors landscape and natural setting, it is perfect, especially for weddings. There are so many areas to take photos that are a photographer's dream. The Barn can be decorated to suit your taste, or, it is beautiful on its own with a warm, inviting environment. The amenities are accommodating, a wonderful kitchen, bride and groom dressing rooms, comfortable seating areas, outdoor areas are nature's best. Can you picture a stream meandering nearby with a bridge that is perfect for photo snaps. Our family highly recommends the Barn at Hidden Valley for weddings, family reunions, corporate events. My husband and I had the blessing of finding the B&O for our wedding in May 2024. I couldn’t sing enough praises for the amazing people, the beautiful venue, and the fantastic food this place has to offer. Not only are they affordable, but they will work with you on payments. Shannon was an absolute godsend in helping us plan for our big day. I could go on and on about how fantastic this place is, but I would probably run out of writing space. If you were looking for the perfect spot with a wonderfully historic and rustic atmosphere, do yourself a favor and give them a call!

The timber frame barn was built in 1905. It is 3,300 square feet and can comfortably seats 200 guests, with plenty of room for dinner and dancing. In 2012-2013, it was renovated to restore its original structure. Wagon wheel chandeliers and a unique bar constructed from French wine barrels and the original barn doors were added. The surrounding farmland offers stunning views and sunsets. We have tables, chairs, white china, flatware, ivory or white linen tablecloths and white napkins, burlap runners, mason jars or water glasses, bridal dressing room, and much more. Faraone Brothers Catering offers wonderful food and service. Alcohol is permitted, with use of certified bartenders and licensed security personnel. The barn is a short drive from multiple hotels and B&B's and it has easy access from I-80, I-79, and PA 376. Pittsburgh is less than an hour away.

I have to first start this review by speaking about Maggie. When we decided to book a month/day of coordinator I’m not sure what we expected but Maggie was above and beyond anything we imagined. She was kind, so organized, and did so many behind the scenes things that I’m genuinely touched by her attention to detail and her effort on our wedding day. My husband and I felt like we were able to truly be present with our loved ones on our day because of Maggie and the Harper team, which was so important to us. She made our wedding vision come to life and I was blown away seeing everything put together that we planned for over a year. I knew after the first conversation my husband and I had with Maggie that she would be on top of everything on the big day and handle any issues that could arise. For as much as you plan, things pop up and you’re going to want to go with a person who can handle things with grace. That’s Maggie and the Harper team. As someone who wasn’t sure if a day of coordinator was necessary, after booking with Maggie - that decision was the best one we made. Every venue would be so lucky to have their own Maggie. About the Harper Event Venue itself- If lived in PA I would be annoyingly recommending them to my neighbors but the next best thing I can do is write this review and say that as an out of town bride I am beyond thankful we booked The Harper for our wedding. It was our dream venue, it has a beautiful outdoor area where we had the ceremony facing the pond and our pictures turned our gorgeous with the modern farmhouse style of the venue. We loved that it’s a “blank canvas” inside that we could create our own style which made the planning process more fun. Our guests were blown away by the venue, and I’m so happy we got married at The Harper. If you’re considering The Harper, don’t wait- book this venue asap! I wish we lived in PA so we could attend more weddings there!

My husband I got married at Sun Valley on 10/14/22, and I would highly, highly recommend this venue!! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, the inside was clean and spacious, and all of their staff is wonderful! I felt like everyone I interacted with during the planning process as well as the rehearsal and day of truly cared about making our day perfect. We received many compliments from our friends and family about how beautiful the venue is both inside and outside. I worked with Jennifer throughout the planning process, and she was not only so incredibly sweet and helpful, but she was also super quick at responding to emails and any questions I had whether big or small. Halle and Kendall were both SO sweet and helpful, and the bartender, Bobby (who I believe works for the venue) was absolutely wonderful! I would definitely recommend Sun Valley to any couple looking for a beautiful venue, especially if they want an outdoor ceremony in the fall! On the day of, Jeremy drove guests around in the golf cart, which was a huge help, and Melissa was available to address any concerns we had. The venue itself is gorgeous, with a beautiful lake and creek nearby. It was a great value for the price, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting to create beautiful memories on our special day. We had our wedding in January 2022 at the Kelly ballroom. It met and exceeded all our expectations! The space was beautiful and clean and well organized. No detail was missed. They helped set up what we couldn’t and had everything beautiful and perfect when we walked in. The food was AMAZING! Our guests were impressed with all the food! Our bartenders were quick and so friendly. They worked well collaboratively with our photographer and DJ. They truly made such a stressful day into an easy, flowing, smooth, beautiful day!! I’d recommend over and over again. The Kelly ballroom and that day will forever be an extremely special memory for our family!

From the moment we arrived at Beaver Station Cultural & Event Center, we were impressed by the efficient and fast communication with their team. The air-conditioned indoor reception area was a particular highlight, and the ceremony outside had ample space for everyone to see clearly. Our day-of coordinator, Layla, was truly amazing - she greeted us with a warm smile when we arrived at 8am and seamlessly executed all the little details we had requested, ensuring our wedding day was absolutely perfect. Originally built in 1860 along Glen Eden Road, the barn, owned by the estate of Gene and Dee Graham, descendants of early settler of Cranberry Township, Matthew Graham, was slated to be sold as part of a real estate development and eventually torn down. The barn and farmhouse had been in the Graham family since its original construction, but was restored by Gene and Dee in the 1950’s as they started their own dairy farm, Brookvue Acres. For the next half century, the barn was the epicenter of daily life for the Graham family. All six children and numerous farm hands pitched in to help run the dairy. Resigned to spend more time with their grandchildren, the Grahams retired in 1998, happily closing that chapter of their life. Their legacy carries on in Graham Park, a donation of their farmlands to the community, in Cranberry Twp.

Our wedding was absolutely perfect! Everybody at Nick's place was beyond helpful and so supportive. Katie made wedding planning much easier and helped keep everything organized leading up to the day. The day of was amazing. You could tell that everybody there wanted to create a perfect event and they did. Katie checked in multiple times to make sure we had food, drinks and anything else we needed. I had multiple guest tell me that her and her staff also checked in with them throughout the night to make sure all our guest were happy and having fun. Everything was cleaned up and ready to leave when we were which was a huge help! The inn was fabulous and a perfect place to get ready and enjoy our after party. My husband and I were married at Laplace in September 2020. It was perfect! They have bridal suites for getting ready and a few different options for ceremony and receptions depending on your style. I loved how easy everything was. We didn't have to worry about anything at all. The set up was done for us. The clean up was done for us. We were able to pick and choose colors, decor, lighting, etc. The food was amazing! It was hot and fresh which is different than other weddings I've attended. For a stress free wedding or any event, this is definitely the place to go!
