About this venue
For over 35 years, this family-owned business has collaborated with engaged couples to design weddings that embody all of the wonderful emotions that come with saying “I do”. Couples can host grand receptions of up to 300 guests at this magnificent venue with an outdoor ceremony garden option, in house food and beverage options, and ample free parking. Outside catering is not permitted at this venue. With three different room sizes covering 30,000 square feet of ballrooms, host a celebration of any size and style. The Makoy is a full-service wedding venue with in-house catering, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage options and many linen options for the color and design desired. The Makoy’s menus focus on American and Italian style cuisine options. We offer buffet and plated style meals with accompanying hors d'oeuvres and optional dessert choices.

Through the grand art deco entryway and past the foyer you enter our magnificent Emerald Room. A touch of modern art deco and brilliant lighting accents bring this room to life. With vaulted ceilings reaching 20 feet, a spacious built-in dance floor and full bar, this elegant space is our largest and most popular ballroom wedding venue and can host moderate to substantial guest counts for a variety of romantic events.

Wedding 7/19/2025
If you are questioning whether to pick the Makoy or not for your big day, DO IT!!! We had our wedding reception in The Emerald Room on 7/19/2025 and it was, simply put, the best day of our lives and that was in large part thanks to Matt Eder, Erin Pearson, and their team at the Makoy! From the day we met them when we were touring the venue, they were some of the most personable, accommodating, easy to talk to, and easy to work with people we've ever met! We knew immediately after we walked out the day that there was no other place to have our wedding other than the Makoy. We had 250 people at our reception and our guests were raving about the fast service, both for plated food and at the bar, large portion sizes, and beautiful decorations and setup at the Makoy. Not only that, but throughout the wedding planning process, Matt was able to answer all of my millions of emails with questions in HOURS! We just can't say enough about how amazing the Makoy is and their staff there. Pick the Makoy for your big day, you won't regret it!
Amazing
The Makoy was the perfect wedding venue for our special day. From the moment we first reached out, their communication was prompt, kind, friendly, and professional. The venue itself is spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated - exactly what we were looking for. On the day of our wedding, their day-of coordinator seamlessly handled the transition from our planned outdoor ceremony to an indoor one due to unexpected rain. They set up the space beautifully and kept us on schedule so the entire day ran smoothly. Even though it wasn't exactly how we had originally planned, the Makoy team made sure everything was perfect, and we wouldn't change a thing. Our wedding was everything we wanted and needed it to be thanks to the Makoy's incredible service and stunning venue.

We had both our wedding ceremony and reception in the Emerald Room and could not be happier. Many of our guests have told us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Erin, Clay, Matt, Reagan, and the rest of the Makoy staff put in a lot of work to make everything run smoothly so that we and our guests could enjoy the day worry free. They were also a tremendous asset in making our personalized vision for the event reality. On top of all of that, the food is superb. We ended up with a bunch of leftover dessert not because we over ordered, but because everyone filled up on the fantastic dinner buffet and had no room left! If you are debating whether or not to give this place a look, just do it. We didn’t regret it, and neither will you.
Book the Makoy Center and Don't Look Back!
Congrats! You just got engaged, and exactly one trillion things are flying around your head. You're thinking of the guest lists, setting a date, the colors....let me help you make one decision quickly: book the Makoy Center. Do it, and don't look back. My wife and I had the best possible experience with them from start to finish. We didn't hire a planner, but we didn't end up needing one because of how thorough everyone was at the Makoy Center. We primarily worked with Matt, but the entire team helped execute the day, and it went off literally flawlessly. Every last detail that was unique to us, they helped implement. Every bite of food was cooked to perfection. The bartenders, servers, staff, etc were so friendly to our guests. The facility was spotless and decorated perfectly. The price was very reasonable and their payment plan helped us budget accordingly. Their "we take care of it all" approach left me skeptical at first (because I am a control freak) but they truly did. I simply cannot speak highly enough of all of them. Book the Makoy Center, and you will have the best day of your life.
