Ward 3 Retaliation - Denied Online Portal Access

We initially left a 3-star Google review to provide a fair and balanced reflection of our experience—acknowledging the beautiful moments captured on our spring 2025 wedding day, while also sharing a few unexpected issues. Ryan Sterling, the Chief Operations Officer, quickly publicly responded on the review, and seemed open and eager to resolving the concerns. Unfortunately, shortly after posting our review, our access to our wedding gallery and video links was revoked without warning or explanation. The gallery was locked, and video links made private. Meanwhile, we still have access to our engagement photos (taken over a year ago), and know other couples who continue to access their galleries after similar timeframes. This strongly suggests the removal was retaliatory—not technical or contractual. In his response, Ryan offered to provide specific edits and additional images, but after we followed up, those deliverables were never sent. Instead, Ryan attempted to make the return of our gallery and video access conditional on us signing a non-disparagement and mutual release agreement—terms never mentioned in our contract and only introduced after services were rendered and we shared our honest experience. This is a breach of contract and an unethical attempt to suppress fair criticism. As for the service itself, while our main photographer delivered some beautiful images, others lacked attention to detail. We were disappointed by the absence of key décor shots—like our champagne wall and custom light monogram—and several detail photos included distracting objects (e.g., chapstick, phones, or stray people). We expected more professionalism from a premium team. The second shooters also arrived 15 minutes late to my husband’s prep session and seemed unaware of the finalized schedule, mistakenly thinking the ceremony time was their arrival time. This was brushed off post-wedding despite being a paid service. The contract explicitly includes gallery hosting with no expiration terms or access limits. The removal of our access after posting a factual review—followed by weeks of silence from Ryan until we mentioned potential bank involvement—violates the “unlimited consultations” clause and is not in line with fair business practices. We’ve also since learned of other couples who experienced similar treatment, suggesting a pattern of retaliating against critical feedback. Nearly all public reviews are five stars, which aligns with this possibility. Future clients deserve transparency—not curation through suppression. We remain hopeful for a professional and amicable resolution—but we expect the terms of our original contract to be honored fully, without coercion or added conditions.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with your experience. Our goal is always to provide beautiful memories and positive experiences for every couple we serve. We fulfilled all of the services outlined in the signed agreement, and including delivery of your full photo gallery with all the shots you requested in your planning form, and video files, which were received and downloaded. While online gallery hosting is provided as a complimentary service, it is not guaranteed indefinitely, which is standard practice across our industry. Because there appeared to be misunderstandings regarding hosting duration, revision requests, and other provisions, we offered a supplemental agreement as a way to clearly document next steps and resolve matters in writing. This was meant as a professional tool to create clarity for both parties, not as a restriction or retaliation. We never want a couple to feel dissatisfied, and we are always willing to work directly with clients to address concerns and find solutions. Out of respect for client privacy, we will not discuss further contract details publicly, but we have reached out privately in hopes of resolving this matter amicably. We wish you the very best in your marriage and future together.

We used Ward 3 Media for our photography (engagement and wedding). We couldn’t be happier with our experience! We worked mostly with Jaclyn for photography and thought she was incredibly kind, professional, fun, and creative. She always listened to what we wanted from her and came through on the results over and over again. Jaclyn was personable and anyone who interacted with her only had kind things to say. Our second photographer/assistant was Amanda and we thought she also did a great job throughout our wedding day and always listened to what we had to say but brought her own creativity as well.

We truly couldn’t have asked for a better team to capture our wedding day than Enrique, Brock, and their partners from Ward 3. From start to finish, they brought such a warm, calming, and creative energy to everything they did—and it made all the difference. Enrique, our photographer, was so sweet and grounding. He made us feel instantly at ease and went above and beyond to not only capture stunning photos, but to help us stay relaxed and present in the moment. His attention to detail and the way he caught both the big emotions and quiet, candid moments was incredible. Brock and his partner, our videographers, were equally kind, welcoming, and full of thoughtful ideas. They took real initiative—not just filming what was happening, but helping create space for beautiful, authentic moments to unfold. Our photographers were amazing. They provided direction for us and our wedding party and made sure everyone looked amazing and felt comfortable. Our DJ kept the dancefloor packed and played all our favorite songs. - Even included a few favorites we had forgotten about until we heard them out on the dancefloor. We couldn't be happier.
