About this venue

Wind in the Willows is a space of country charm and modern elegance. The stone barn is heated and air conditioned to allow for use year-round, and provides beautiful views of the well-maintained grounds. The property also has a cottage and bridal suite for the wedding party to prepare before the wedding day begins. The gorgeous outdoor scenery provides the perfect backdrop for outdoor ceremonies. Indoor ceremonies can be held at the Wedding Chapel, a mid 19th century church - renovated and temperature controlled. The chapel is also available for receptions.

The upstairs portion of the barn is a renovated hand-hewn bank barn, perfect for hosting your reception. This space is temperature controlled to keep your guests comfortable and is already beautifully decorated - just waiting for your finishing touch.

Similar to the upstairs portion of the barn, the lower level is beautifully decorated and is an inviting space for the first event of the evening - cocktail hour! Enjoy the lower level of the barn as well as an outdoor lawn.

Wind in the Willows is such a charming venue—its rustic elegance is truly unmatched! Every wedding I’ve photographed here has been filled with joy, laughter, and so many beautiful moments. The property is absolutely stunning, and the owners are some of the kindest, most down-to-earth people you’ll ever meet. They care deeply about their couples and make everyone feel so welcome. Each experience at Wind in the Willows is an absolute pleasure, and I’m always so grateful to be part of celebrations held at this little slice of heaven in Grantville.

Wind In The Willows was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, their communication was prompt, friendly and thorough - they made us feel like valued clients, not just customers. The venue itself is naturally gorgeous and impeccably well-maintained, with beautiful landscaping and a charming, rustic feel. On top of that, their affordable pricing made it an incredible value. They went above and beyond to make us feel special, from the decorations shed full of items we could use, to the open houses they host to help couples plan, to the annual holiday party for all their newlyweds. As a family-owned, LGBTQ-friendly business, we felt so welcomed and cared for throughout the entire process. If you're looking to work with people who truly care, this is the venue for you. Advice: Request Lisa and Patrick as your Day of Host, they are the closest thing to a Day of Coordinator. They’re so kind and did every job we asked them to do, from lighting candles, moving flowers, golf-carting grandparents, lighting sparklers and more!

Where to even begin. WITWs made our dream wedding a reality. The venue space is beautiful and just gets better as the sun goes down. During the wedding planning process we had a specific vision in mind of how we wanted our big day to look like and WITWs checked every box. Aaron & Andrea were a blessing to work with. Always there to answer questions leading up to the big day. Lisa the host coordinator was great as well. She assisted us with pulling decorations from the decoration shed and making sure all the chairs, tables & arbor were decorated just the way we envisioned. She even chased away some bees (lol) WITWs is always improving the grounds. Since we booked two years ago they have built a speakeasy for the guys to get ready in and upgraded the landscaping with accent lighting and a fountain. They also have extras you can add on to your day. We opted to rent the old truck for our bridal party. You can also rent the chapel. They also have multiple ceremony spaces on the grounds. We were married by the water feature down by the pond. If you are looking for a venue with upscale rustic beauty look no further. WITWs is your venue!!!!

My husband and I were thrilled with Wind In The Willows as our wedding venue. Their communication was consistently speedy, nice, and understanding throughout the planning process, which we really appreciated during this hectic time. The venue itself was beautiful, fun, affordable, and spacious - we were able to decorate the indoor and outdoor spaces with our own touches thanks to their generosity in letting us use their shed for decor storage. Our guests raved about the beautiful scenery and many photo ops around the property. We also appreciated the value, as they worked with our budget to create a magical day we'll never forget. If you're looking for a venue that feels like a storybook setting with owners who feel like family, we highly recommend Wind In The Willows!
