As the embodiment of ‘Connecticut Charm’ with its 18th-century architectural design & rustic, New England inspired designs, The Spinning Wheel is the ideal destination for an intimate reception. Our venue, sitting on five acres of rolling countryside, offers both privacy and accessibility - with its picturesque location in quaint Redding, CT and its proximity to major thruways (I-95) and Manhattan (approximately an hour away). Our charmingly-appointed banquet room can accommodate weddings of up to 150 guests and features the original fireplace from 1742. The scenic garden gazebo is a favorite for nuptial exchange and the covered patio serves as a perfect setting for cocktails and outdoor receptions.     From the images I saw online to the reality- The Spinning Wheel was a dream come true! Katlyn, GM, is absolutely amazing at keeping things running and organized and she is excellent at anticipating needs before we even knew we needed anything!! Cannot say enough good things about this venue and HIGHLY recommend booking to anyone planning a wedding or other event.

    We had our wedding at the spinning wheel May 2025 and absolutely loved it! The staff was amazing and so kind to us. The food was phenomenal it was so pretty inside and out I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone

    The Spinning Wheel was the perfect venue for our wedding celebration. From the beginning, the coordinator Kaitlyn was incredibly helpful, guiding us through every step of the planning process. On the day of, the event was flawlessly executed - the venue was spotless and spacious, with a beautiful patio that was perfect for cocktail hour. Kaitlyn and her staff were professional, caring, and friendly, ensuring that no detail was overlooked and that the entire celebration was a tremendous success. We are so grateful to the team at The Spinning Wheel for helping to make our special day truly unforgettable.

    I recently had my wedding at The Spinning Wheel, and it was a complete disappointment. The service was appalling from the start. Bar lines were extremely long (over 30 minutes) and coffee wasn't served to all tables. It was honestly a hot mess from start to finish. The most upsetting part of the experience, however, was the behavior of the owner. When we expressed our concerns about the service , he was rude, dismissive, and made us feel as though we were an inconvenience. Rather than offering an apology or any attempt to rectify the situation, he acted indifferently, which only made a bad situation worse. I have emails and photos documenting the issues with both the service and the food, and several guests can verify the poor quality of the event. I would strongly advise anyone considering The Spinning Wheel to look elsewhere — my wedding day was marred by this venue’s lack of professionalism and the owner’s rude attitude.
