The Maxwell is a brand new wedding venue where modern elegance meets classic luxury. As Raleigh's newest venue we are a versatile and minimalist space for couples seeking sophisticated simplicity. We're located only six minutes away from downtown Raleigh's best hotels and amenities. The Maxwell was thoughtfully designed to allow for the best possible flow for a wedding. With multiple spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception the venue perfectly houses all parts of your celebration. The romantic atmosphere is enhanced by copper gas lanterns, a 15' fireplace, herringbone oak wood accent wall, white washed brick, abundant natural light, oversized chandeliers, and soaring 18' ceilings. The venue's old world charm and modern designs create an inviting space with unlimited possibilities for your day. The Maxwell is proud to be an LGBTQ Friendly venue.

A charming outdoor space designed to feel like a Southern Estate and garden

Guests can enjoy fresh air from the comfort of our outdoor patio and lawn. Take advantage of our lawn for ceremonies and photos. The warm glow from our French Quarter gas lanterns adds a touch of Southern charm, making this area our favorite place to sip on a cocktail! Complete with market lights this serene space has a multitude of uses. The property is very secluded and surrounded by lush greenery, creating the perfect backdrop for your day.

The Great Room

The Great Room's versatility can accommodate any vision. A minimalist white space featuring oversize custom chandeliers and a 15' brick fireplace with reclaimed oak mantle, the space boasts impressive features for your reception.

The Lounge

Warm and inviting

The Maxwell's dramatic features are carried on throughout the Lounge, which is the perfect room for indoor cocktail hours and receptions. Neutral in color scheme, our airy Lounge is an inviting space for guests to mingle. The space features a 16' herringbone oak wood accent wall, made from a 123 year oak tree that was on the property when it was cleared to build the venue. The wall is a true statement, adding warmth and a romantic touch to the otherwise elegant and modern space.
