I Got A Love Jones Events
Sarah, our lead planner, has been hosting and planning events since 2012. What started as intimate events with family and friends, has expanded to hosting private events for up to 200 guest. Sarah received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in African American History in 2016. She also received her Master of Urban Education-School Counseling, K-12 in 2020. She is able to offer expert guidance on what venues and vendors will work best for your specific wedding, based on your specific vision, design, budget, guest count, and overall priorities for your wedding day. Our lead planner is also a certified civil celebrant in Virginia.
She is known for her ability to balance managing a large social, Women’s Empowerment Group and her career as a Professional School Counselor. We are open to working with couples from all backgrounds. No event is too unorthodox!

A true lifesaver on my wedding day
Sarah was absolutely incredible and truly exceeded all of my expectations. I initially hired her as a host, but on the day of my wedding, she naturally stepped in as a day-of coordinator, and I don’t know what I would have done without her! Sarah was so easygoing yet completely on top of everything. She managed the schedule, coordinated with the DJ and best man, and even took the time to help my mom with her shoes. When I started panicking and feeling overwhelmed, Sarah was the calm, steady presence I needed. She handled every detail with grace and professionalism, all while making me feel supported and cared for. Because of her, my wedding day flowed beautifully and stress-free. My husband and I were so grateful and impressed with her work that I even doubled her initial payment. She was worth every single penny and more. Sarah was not just a host; she was a lifesaver, and I would recommend her wholeheartedly to any bride looking for someone reliable, kind, and truly exceptional. Book her, you won't regret!

My child had a wonderful time with I Got A Love Jones Events childcare service, I Got To Love The Kids Babysitting. Kamaya and Keniese were very attentive to my instructions and already had knowledge on how to administer his Epi Pen in the event that my son had an allergic reaction. My son told me he had so much fun playing chef and creating several drawings with the girls. When I arrived home everything was cleaned up and my son was ready for bed after hours of fun! He was nervous to have someone new watch him, but he is excited for the next time they come to play!

Sarah was absolutely amazing to work with! She's an excellent communicator - assertive, clear and concise - which is what was needed for the rehearsal and the day of the event. She's very efficient, timely, organized, and professional. She and her assistant went above and beyond their duties to ensure the wedding was a success and so beautiful!

Sarah is so good at what she does! Managing an event where not only the bride and groom were able to focus on each other, but the guests raved about the event. That takes great skill. She possesses all of that and more!
