Featuring fantastic acoustics, two lively bars, and 100% ADA accessibility, it caters to a diverse crowd, from great-grandmas to cowboy enthusiasts. With adaptable ambiance, it accommodates both intimate weddings and grand celebrations, seating up to 250 guests with a dance floor or 300 for a spacious experience. The all-glass garage doors provide an outdoor feel, allowing for creativity and enjoyment regardless of the weather.

Best Event in Years
I did not have a wedding here but I am the event coordinator for my sorority at Valpo. When I first reached out they gave me a high quote and I explained my limited budget and situation. They worked with me to make it all possible and still a glamorous event. All of the women in my sorority and even the men of the fraternity we partnered with had an amazing time and I got nothing but praise for finding such an amazing venue. From the food, to the attention to detail everything I possibly thought could go wrong went perfectly and it is all thanks to the staff at the Design Barn.
Stress Free Venue
From the moment we booked The Design Barn for our wedding, their communication was thorough, detailed, and always quick to respond. This spacious, beautiful, and elegant venue exceeded our expectations and provided a truly stress-free day from the ceremony to the reception. The delicious food served by their catering team was a highlight for all our guests. All the staff were courteous and professional to not only us but our wedding party and guests. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting to celebrate our special day. The Design Barn is a wedding venue we highly recommend to any couple looking to create lifelong memories.
BEST Venue
The Design Barn was the perfect venue! They are very accommodating and will work with you to put your vision together. Alex was so helpful with making our dreams come to life. Jorge makes the BEST food. You don't have to worry about food and drinks. They have a team there to do it all! The venue also includes all your seating, plates/silverware/glasses, linens, cute Photo Booth area, along with tables for your welcome set up. We've been to many venues where you get charged extra for security, plating, linens, extra chairs, etc. They also have plenty of space to have over 200 people! We never felt cramped or crowded. The Design Barn also has beautiful and fun SPACIOUS rooms for the bridal parties. They also have a very cute and fun room for when the bride gets ready. We've been to other venues where there were no bridal suites or they were extremely small. Our bridal party had 9 people on each side so room to get ready was a must. The venue also provides drinks and lunch for when you are getting ready. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. We are so glad we picked the Design Barn. It was PERFECT!!
my perfect day
i got married May 25th, 2024 at the design barn! from the food to the space itself to Alex (coordinator)…everything was perfect. this wedding venue was the first one we looked at when we were hunting but NOTHING came close to the design barn. its charm and decor fit perfect with my vision and made pictures perfect. its now 4 months later after the wedding and we STILL get the best compliments of having the best food people have ever had at a wedding (yes the short rib ravioli is THAT good-thanks Chef!) i love the space 1) for the men to get ready because that was very important to have everyone together the day of and 2) having two bars meant no waiting for drinks so everyone can get back to the dance floor and enjoy the night! i recommend this place x 100 for anyone wanting a stress-free, gorgeous day or night of celebration!
